Tuesday Afternoon Action!
Have I mentioned that I'm on summer break? Yes, indeed. I've got my feet up at the Cottage and looking forward to enjoying the Premiership and Championship playoff action this afternoon. Two matches that are crucial to the Champions League race kick off shortly - Arsenal v. Sunderland and Man Citeh v. WBA. Add to that the Championship playoff between Reading and Fulham and it's a cracking afternoon. Join me, if you can.

Arsenal go into this one with it all to do. They need a win against Sunderland, of course, but they also need help from Tony Pulis's Baggies. Arsenal are currently on 69 points and inferior GD to Citeh's 72 points.

NBC Sports Network are still trying to goose the excitement for "Championship Sunday" despite the fact that just about everything has already been sorted.
And we're away at the Emirates this evening. Arsenal in their usual red and white number and Sunderland strangely in all white.
Sunderland making the early running through Arsenal old boy Larsson.
Alexis with his first chance - well over the bar.
Some nice interplay between Alexis and Giroud. If nothing else, the last few matches have shown that two strikers can work for the Arsenal. I don't know why they don't always line up with those two.
Apparently Jordan Pickford is on the the wish list for Arsene Wenger. Might be a good pick up.
The ball's in the net but only after Olivier Giroud had directed that Alexis shot in via his arm.
Oh - Borini nearly played Defoe in there but Cech did well to cut it out.
Oh - Ramsey played in Giroud but Pickford saved well from the Frenchman.
Great open feel to this match.
Giroud was nearly in again - just a touch offside. A goal is coming....
Oh - Bellerin jinked in from the right after a terrific ball from Ramsey. Hit it well with his left peg but it was always rising.
Oh - Alexis played in Ramsey there but Pickford again swept up.
A quarter of an hour gone and still no breakthrough. Citeh and WBA are about to kick off.
No goals in that Championship playoff match either.
Oh - mad scramble ends with a raking drive by Xhaka Khan wide of the mark.
Just a reminder that Fulham and Reading were at 1-1 from the first leg. I don't believe that away goals are an advantage today. A draw would go to extra time and pens.
Bellerin picks up a yellow card for handball.
Half an hour gone now and the Emirates crowd is starting to grow restless. If they were to throw this one away with a draw or loss against Sunderland at home.
Oh - Ozil found Alexis well but the Chilean wasn't anticipating it.
Sharp shot by Defoe well saved by Cech. And straight up the pitch for Giroud who is edged off the ball in the area. He wants something but isn't getting anything.
Feeling goal starved right about now.
We're bearing down on the end of the first half now. Arsene is looking concerned.
Rob Holding has a open header. Straight at Pickford. And that's half-time.
Two quick goals at the Etihad and Citeh are suddenly in the driver's seat. Jesus and Aguero with the goals.
Back on for the second half at the Emirates now. Arsenal desperately need a goal. And they need a couple of goals for the Baggies at the Etihad.
Lots of empty seats at the Emirates tonight.
Oh dear - Monreal nearly scored an own goal with a wayward backpass.
Indirect free kick now as Cech had to turn that backpass around the post. Crikey!
In the end Larsson loops a ball up and it's nodded out by Xhaka.
Sunderland putting up much more of a fight tonight than they did against Swansea at the weekend.
Still 0-0 Reading v. Fulham.
Monreal clips Larsson and gets a yellow card.
And Beaker goes into the book for some back chat.
Oh - Larsson whipped in a lovely free kick and Vinny Jones nearly got on the end of it.
The cards keep coming - John O'Shea is in the book now.
Gibbs nearly played Alexis in but it's cleared out for a corner. And Cattermole another from that one.
Now Alexis has a nice free kick chance. Comes off the wall and goes out for another corner.
Oh - Ozil beat the offside trap but didn't have the ability to bring the ball down.
Inside the last half hour now. Time for a change or two. Ramsey is down, which may give Arsene a chance to replace him.
Danny Welbeck has come on for Ramsey.
Still 2-0 at the Etihad - not good news for the Gunners.
Oh - another wasted chance there. Alexis was free in the box. but couldn't finish it.
Oh - Pickford saves again, this time from Welly.
GOAL! Arsenal finally find the way through from Alexis!
Nice combination of Xhaka, Ozil and Alexis. Training pitch goal.
1-0!
Now the Arsenal need a couple of goals from the Baggies.
Uh oh - make that three.
GOAL! Alexis strikes again!
Long looping cross over from Mustafi met by Ozil at the back post. Alexis finished it off. That's 23 goals now for the Chilean. Only one goal behind Lukaku.
Meanwhile Yann Kermorgant has scored from the penalty spot to put Reading within reach of Wembley.
Oh - Mustafi nearly adds a third goal but Pickford claws it out. He's been brilliant.
Well - that is that. Arsenal have done what they needed to do today - a fifth win on the trot. For some reason it almost feels like a defeat. That's because Citeh also won 3-0.
All that means that Arsenal need a win against Everton on Sunday but also need Boro to get something against Liverpool. A tough ask, really.
And Reading are through to a Wembley playoff final against either Huddersfield or Sheffield Wednesday thanks to that penalty.
That's it for me today. Cheerio!
