We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Election Night Special!

I'm settling in to watch the UK election results on the BBC World channel. Good old David Dimbleby is anchoring, as he has done since we were all kids. The big news is that Labour and Jeremy Corbyn have done quite a bit better than anticipated and it looks as if we're headed toward a "hung Parliament." Theresa May's future is now looking fairly shaky. And of course, Labour has held Bristol - that's just a rumor, not a result. Boom boom!

I understand that there "May" be a change in the balance of power as the Conservatives appear to be replaced. This half a day after the Under 20s clinch a place in the World Cup Final with a 3-1 semi win vs Italy after trailing at the half
