A Very Big Early Sunday Morning
Sunday morning is off with a bang today, with two cracking matches at the same time. In the Premiership, Arsenal kick off against Brighton on NBC Sports Network at the crack of dawn (i.e., 7am). Then 15 minutes later, the epic confrontation between my beloved and some know-nothing, also-ran Championship side from a post-industrial hell-hole starts on ESPN3. It's a shame that our loyal fans will have to brave the confines of their rattle-trap stadium in order to support the side. Still, if we can get three points, it'll be all worth it. Join me for what promises to be a legendary morning.

OH!!!!!! I just read about a long range effort that cannoned off the post ion La Gazette then Alexis shot the rebound over.
Good morning, Bob. It's a pleasure to join you. Glad to support you and Steve as your teams are playing.
Sorry to tell you that ESPN is failing to call your opponents NOT a Big Club. I guess they're in denial.
Gaitan Bong making his Seagulls debut. He may want a bong by the end of the match
Izzy Brown heads wide off a long Seagulls free kick, which may be their best chance of scoring.
Matty Ryan does well to hold a shot from Alexis from downtown
The match from Hillsborough should be available soon on Watch ESPN.
Back with my brekkies - I was starving!
Yes, I'm getting used to this new routine with ESPN. I can't complain - this is the second live stream in a week that has featured my boys.
WAY HAY!!! The match from Hillsborough has loaded.
Wahay - the coverage on ESPN has started!
Matty Ryan saves a close range effort from Iwobi off nice one touch passing.
Wednesday are under real pressure since their loss to their city rivals last weekend. Apparently the foreign owner is in the ground, adding some speculation.
Tom Lees showing himself to be a true traitor as the former LUFC player leads out such an evil team
There are some old friends around today, including Tom Lees, our former youth academy captain.
It would be great to see Leeds get their manager sacked.
The Gunners have a free kick just outside the Seagulls box,.
The Leeds starting XI today:
Wiedwald, Ayling, Jannson, Pennington, Berardi, O'Kane, Phillips, Roofe, Saiz, Alioski, Lasogga
The Gunners have scored a really scrambling goal through Nacho.
GOAL !!!!! tHE gUNNERTS TAKE THE LEAD AS IT SMELLS LIKE NACHOS.THE SEAGULLS FAILED TO CLEAR THE FREE KICK A SHOT OFF THE POST THEN TWO BLOCKED SHOTS THEN SCRAMBLED IN BY NACHO
And we're away from the death trap.
They're off from Hillsborough
Come on, you Blacks! MOT!
LOL! Nice one , mate. Hope Leeds thrash them
Uh oh - we've got a pun spinner for a commentator on this one.
I'm not sure why Lasogga is being preferred to Saiz these days. Thomas Christensen must be seeing something in training .
Hard to see them matching you, mate. Your opponents are a target for puns.
A Pre Saiz cross is headed wide by Kal Phillips.
Oh - great ball over from Saiz there to Phillips who couldn't control his header.
Any team who has Barry Bloody Bannan in the side is ripe for parody.
Oh - Off the post for Brighton. Close to an equalizer.
Lasogga is a poor man's Gironde, imo, would prefer more pace, despite his early success
Solly March with a shot just wide in early October.
We're controlling the midfield nicely now.
Good morning, MSS! MOT!
Solly March wins a corner in October.
Not a Pre Saiz long range effort.
Oh - Saiz turned his man well and then had his sights on the goal. HIs shot was always rising, though.
It's strange scheduling that Leeds travel to two houses of evil in five days heading into an international break
Another one off the post for Brighton - not their morning, I suppose.
Roofe wins a corner off of Reach
Iwobi goes on a solo run, but his shot is deflected straight to Ryan
Oh - neat throw in routine. Roofe nearly squeezed in a cross.
Leeds applying the pressure as two close range efforts are blocked.
Young Jose Wildsmith in goal for the bad guys. Let's hope he feels like a wild Smith at the end of the match
Oh - Ayling played a nice through ball to Lasogga who's chipped cross was gobbled up by the keeper. We're playing well, though.
OH!!!! Alioski should have given Leeds the lead on the counter,. Nice sol run then a Pre Saiz cross.
Oh - a brilliant run from Saiz and a chip to the backpost that Alioski should have scored with. Into the side netting.
Agreed. Nice start from Leeds.
Nice work by SS, looking sharp early, now finish. Ali going platinum today.
OH!!!! Wildsmith superbl;y saves a close range effort from Roofe, who is flagged offside. The replay showed he wasn't
Oh - Saiz again there with a great run. The ball ran on to Roofe who was flagged offside.
Hand ball from Bannon, showing what a cheat he is.
Banana isn't happy being called for the handball. Book him, ref!
Jannsen fouls Ross Wallace in a position where the sewer rats can whip in a free kick
Jansson caught Ross Wallace there. Free kick chance for Not a Big Club now.
The free kick is nodded away by Phillips for a corner.
The free kick goes across the box and skims off of Phillips's head for a corner. The corner taken short by Kieran Lee and a long range effort from Reach is pushed away by wiedwald.
Great save by Wiedwald there from Reach.
LOL! I guess he was going bananas !
I'd like to take credit for that one but it was the Autocorrect on my computer.
Roofe called for a barge on Hunt.
Bugger! Hooper scores for the bad guys.
Crap
BLOODY HELL !!! GARY HOOPER HAS GIVEN THE BAD GUYS A LEAD AS KIERAN LEE HEADS ON A LONG RANGE FREE KICK THEN HOOPER STABBED IN FROM CLOSE RANG PAST THE ON RUSHING WIEDWALD.
Poor defending again for us on that one.
Sorry, Bob. Thnkfully, there's still plenty of time.
Hunt is upended by Berardi and Not a Big Club have a great free kick chance now.
Berardi called for a foul on Hunt inches outside the Leeds box.
Phew - that was a dangerous one right across the face of goal.
Nearly a second as the free kick from Rosss Wallace just eludes one of his teammmates at the far post.
Into a minute of stoppage time at the EM
The Gunners one up at the half.
Arsenal troop off still hanging on to their slender lead.
Phew - a nice through ball and Lee looked to have scored but is ruled offside. We're lucky, as Lee was well onside.
PHEW!!!!! Kieran Lee has a goal disallowed for offside off a slide rule pass from Bannon. The replay shows that he looked on.
Not a Big Club really have their tails up since having scored.
Oh - Hooper now with a great chance but well blocked by Pennington. Corner.
OH!!! Hooper has a close range effort defl;ected by Pennington for a corner off a pass from Ross Wallace.
JANSSON HEADS OUT FOR ANOTHER CORNER.
Jansson nods out the first corner. We're really on the rack here all of a sudden.
PHEW!!!! Fletcher heads inches wide from a yard out off a great cross from Ross Wallace.
Oh - Fletcher should have scored their second. Phew!
Almost a great ball to Alioski on the run there. Wildsmith mopped it up.
Jack Hunt seems to have a knock.
Should be 3-0, time to bounce back
Hunt is going to have to come off now - Liam Palmer to come on.
Bring in his brother, Mike
Agreed - we played some nice stuff earlier on, but we're really under the cosh now.
Nearly a second goal as I was feeding Fred
That looked like a handball from Jansson but nothing was called. The Not a Big Club support are incensed.
Bugger! Hooper adds a second at the backpost. It was coming, I'm afraid.
Dreadful last 15-20 minutes, questioning our quality
BLOODY HELL !!! NOT A BIG CLUB TWO UP AS FLECTHER HEADED ON A CROSS AND HOOPER AT THE DOUBLE AS HE HEADS IN OFF THE POST FROM CLOSE RANGE.
We desperately need the international break to sort things out. The last two matches have been dreadful.
Part of the problem is all of these bloody Yorkshire derbies where these average Championship sides get up for the matches against us.
Sorry, Bob and MSS
COME ON LEEDS/.
Bannon wide from long range after a free kick was headed out
The second half is underway from the EM
A trio of minutes of stoppage time at Hillsborough
Three minutes of stoppage time now. We could really use a goal back before the interval. Come on!
Lasogga got the header on target but it was easily held.
A free kick from Lassoga is headed straight to Wildsmith by Roofe
Not a Big Club two up at the half Sorry, Bob and MSS. A comeback is needed in the second half.
Well, that wasn't very good at all. I feel like going back to bed. 2-0 down at the interval.
I don't blame you. If you get up with the roosters then you want to see a better performance.
GOAL !!! IWOBI PUTS THE GUNNERS TWO UP WITH A GREAT FINISH.
Great finish in the upper 90 off a nice back heeled pass from Alexis
OH!!! Nice run by Alexis and a shot is cleared off the line from Duffy for a corner. Kolasinac has a header headed off the line by Solly March in October.
The second half is underway from Hillsborough
We're back on for the second half. I hope that we've sorted ourselves out. At this point, I'd be more than happy with a point.
MOT! COME ON LEEDS!
Agreed. Desmond is needed.
Oh - Roofe nearly snuck in there to steal the backpass. Not a Big Club a bit snoozy out of the traps - that could help.
OH!!!! Off the post from Lassoga!
Oh - Lasogga nearly in for a goal back. Come on! Keep up the pressure!
It was off the Sunday roast on a Sunday!
OH!!!! Hopper volleys over from close range. He was offside.
Oh - Hooper nearly in for his hat-trick.
Ollie Giroud coming on for the Arsenal now. Lacazette off.
I have just read about a double substitution by the Gunners as stated in Lacazette. Both goal scorers off as Theo is on for Iwobi and a French swap as Ollie comes on. That one was listed in Lacazette.
Poor ball in from Alioski - he hasn't been good today.
Alexis wins a free kick off a long solo run
Pablo Hernandez is warming up to come on - he'll be a good addition.
The free kick from Alexis is over.
O'Kane is giving the ball away far too cheaply today.
Knockout on for Izquierdo and Glen Murray on for Izzy Brown as Chris Hughton makes a double substitution. Why did he wait so long?
Cometh the hour cometh the changes for Leeds.
A poor free kick from Alioski headed out by the first man
Alioski with another poor delivery. He's about to come off.
Pablo putting on what appears to be a sports bra. Extraordinary!
Lassoga wins a Leeds corner.
Lasogga wins a corner for us - this one has to go in!
And another poor delivery. It's Pablo time. Hadi Sacko also comes on for Roofe.
Alioski takes a short corner to Phillips then gets the ball back . He puts in a poor cross.
Sacko for Alioski and Pablo Hernandez for Roofe as a double change is made.
Oh - Wieldwald saved well from Hooper!
Wiedwald does well to block a close range effort from Bannon off a one two with Hooper./
Elneny on now to bolt the door for the Gunners.
The final roll of the roulette wheel from Arsene as El Neny walks like an Egyptian past a wall of granite.
Ayling swings a dangerous one in and Lees nods over for a corner.
Oh - off the line by Kieran Lee!
Leeds have a corner and off the line by Kieran Lee . Then a long range effort was almost Pre Saiuz.
Oh - better from Leeds now. Pablo feeds Saiz who bends one just wide.
Glen Murray with a close header just wide for the Seagulls.
Jansson was really crushed there in the challenge. He's down needing treatment. Phillips too. They ran into each other.
A clash between Janssson and Kal Phillips. Jansson still down
Doesn't look good for Pontus, I'm afraid. The stretcher is coming.
Jansson needing to be stretchered off as he's horribly injured.
Stuart Dallas to come on - not really a replacement for Pontus.
Jansson will come off and will be replaced by Stuart Dallas. That's the final substitution for Leeds.
A triplet of minutes of stoppage time from the EM
Into stoppage time at the Emirates now.
Now Phillips is down. Bloody Hell. No subs remaining for Leeds!
Now Kalvin Phillips is down for the count. We can't afford to lose him now. It's all going pear shaped.
Phillips is being walked off now. Not good.
Now that's a Propper effort as a long range effort is just wide for the Seagulls off a pass from Solly March in October.
Phillips is back on! Wahay!
Lassoga heads out a corer from Ross Wallace for another. The next one is cleared and Wallace fouls Sacko.
It finishes 2-0 to the Gunners at the EM
Oh - Saiz was through there but chose the near post. Still, earned a corner.
OH!!! Saiz plays a one two and a near post effort is turned around when a far post shot was the better option.
Arsenal have wrapped a decent 2-0 win at home to the Seagulls.
Next on NBC is the Toffees vs Burnley.
One goal could still swing it back in our favor.
Wiedwald does well to parry a long range rocket from Ross Wallace.
The game has really opened up now - end to end stuff.
Absolutely, mate. This one is far from over.
I'll probably head for the shower after this one.
Ross Wallace upset with a challenge from Berardi, but no need to start anything.
Some handbags now between Berardi and Wallace. Surprised that Berardi didn't see a card there.
Oh - off the post from Bananas!
OH!!! Off the Sunday roast on a Sunday. Then Berardi clears for a corner./ That surely would have been rubbing salt in the wounds if he of all people scored.
Were you going bananas?
Ten minutes left to turn this one around.
I was, mate - this one is driving me mad.
Balls! That's torn it. 3-0.
BLOODY HELL!!! KIERAN LEE SCORES WITH A LONG RANGE EFFORT OFF A HORRIBLE CLEARANCE.
Terrible clearance there and Lee took full advantage. Not good enough from us.
Sorry, mate. This seems done and dusted, but anything is possible.
Leeds win a corner.
A candy bar for a fruit as Butterfingers is on for the banana.
This drubbing in a local derby won't do our morale any good coming off that bad loss to Cardiff.
Half a dozen minutes of stoppage time.
Sorry ,mate. Hopefully, there will be an improvement after the break.
Jordan Rhodes on for Fletcher.
Running out the time now.
Those horrible trumpets are enough to drive anyone bananas.
OH!!!! Off the bar from Hooper, who nearly had his hat-trick as Rhodes headed down a cross from Liam Palmer.
Oh - off the bar now from Hooper who just can't find the hat-trick.
First booking of the match as Liam Palmer is guilty of a horrible challenge from behind.
Lasogga tries one from an improbable angle.
It's over at Hillsborough as the Bad Guys win 3-0. Very sorry, Bob.
That's quite enough. A second bad loss on the bounce that has really destroyed our GD advantage. Before this week, we'd only conceded two goals in the Championship. Now we've conceded six goals in two matches. Ouch.
I'm off to soak my head in the shower, mate. I'll be back for the late one.
Five minutes into the match at Goodison and Siggy should have given the Toffees the lead. Nice attack lead by Clavert-Lewin and Siggy had a soft close range effort easily saved by Nick Pope.
Cheers, mate. Looking forward to joining you for the late one.
Stephen Ward clears for a corner after a shot from Niasse was goal bound after he chipped Nick Pope.
