Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Good afternoon, Bob. I'm definitely inclined to join you for a match between these two big clubs . MOT!
Wahay! The ESPN3 coverage from Elland Road is up and running!
Cheers, mate! Great to have you on board.
Thanks. Glad to join you. Time to load the link
The Leeds starting XI: Wiedwald, Ayling, Jansson, Cooper, Berardi, Vieira, Phillips, Alioski, Saiz, Hernandez, Ekuban.
They're off from ER on a chilly W Yorkshire evening.
And we're away. We're in our noble all-white kit; Villa in all-black, like the villains that they are.
MOT! COME ON YOU WHITES!
Great crowd noise at the beginning of this one.
BOOM BOOM , BASIL. It's the good guys vs the bad guys or like Mad Magazine's Spy vs Spy
I love how direct Sammy Saiz is - every time he's on the ball anywhere near goal, he's looking to shoot.
Exactly, so - and the villainous former Red Devil Brucey on the sidelines.
The FA Cup Second Round starts this evening as 2013 winners, Wigan have a local derby at AFC Fylde . My how times have changed!
No he's definitely , not a villain. He's a definite hero!
The other Championship match is Evil Neil's lads vs the Canaries.
Albert Adomah shoots straight at Wiedwald off a pass from Alan Hutton.
I'm sure you will want Snoddy to have a snotty time on his return to ER
Keenan Davis runs into Pontious Jansson. Running into the big Swede never has a pleasant outcome.
A long range effort from Kalvin Phillips is high and wide.
Leeds fans pleased that a cross from Snoddy went straight to Wiedwald. If truth be told he did well just to keep the ball in play.
I thought that you might say that about Brucey. ;-)
Kal Phillips nearly in there, with Johnstone a bit flappy in goal.
70% of the possession to us so far, but we really need a goal to capitalize on that dominance.
Ekuban wins a Leeds corner,.
GOAL !!!! JANSSON HEADS IN THE CORNER TO GIVE LEEDS THE LEAD.
YES! Pontus at the near post with a tidy finish!
1-0 Whites!
Surprising that Chris Samba was outfought for that cross. That's unlike him, but you'll take that. Congratulations. Brucey , who never lost those types of battles will be livid.
Villa are not really playing like playoff contenders as of yet. Let's hope it continues.
Christiansen played part of his career at Barca, so the possession stat indicates that the Barca influence is rubbing off on this Leeds side.
Agreed. Brucey's scowl indicates that he agrees with us.
Ekuban again, wins a Leeds corner, this time off of James Chester
Caleb Ekuban is making himself a nuisance tonight - let's hope this corner goes in as well.
A training pitch routine that didn't quite come off.
Villa playing like soft serve vanilla. Sound about right?
Connor Hoorihan gets the first booking of the night. Nasty one.
Connor Hourihan booked for a nasty challenge on Ekuban
It was actually a foul on Viera. Christiansen reminding the fourth official about the challenge.
Ah - Sammy could have been a bit more greedy. He tried one pass too many.
OH!! A shame that the final ball intended for Ekuabn was not Pre Saiz or else Leeds probably would have gone two up.
Half an hour gone and Villa haven't had a sniff yet.
Phew - first sniff for Villa. Glenn Whelan with a chance at the top of the box. Completely mishit it.
Glenn Whelan drags an effort wide off a pass from Keenan Davis in an attack started by Snoddy.
Pablo is off the pitch for some treatment temporarily.
It looks like Pablo Hernandez is struggling. Let's hope it's not anything serious.
Kemar Roofe is being prepared to replace Pablo.
Leeds struggled to clear and it ends with a hand ball from Adomah.
That's it for Pablo Hernandez as he's replaced by Kemar Roofe.
WAY HAY! Marco Stieprmann gives the Canaries the lead at Cardiff.
Wahay! The Canaries have taken the lead against Evil Cardiff.
Into stoppage time here at Elland Road.
Roofe wins a corner late in the half. Let's have another one, Pontus!
A trio of stoppage time min utes
Oh - Roofe is upended right on the edge of the box by Hutton. Could easily have been a pen if it had been an inch or two farther.
Roofe rockets it off Snoddy for a corner - crowd loved that one.
And now Snoddy is in some trouble. Yellow card for a rash one on Ali.
Snoddy booked for a nasty tackle on his return to ER, showing why Leeds got rid of him.
Oh - Coop had a free header there but ballooned it over the top. Shame.
Mini Cooper heads over the resulting free kick from Alioski
Leeds is deservedly one up at the half.
Half time, then. Very pleased with that score-line. Let's hope we can build on it in the second half.
The Canaries are also one up at the half at Evil Cardiff.
It's 0-0 in the Second Round Cup tie between Fylde and Wigan late in the second half.
Wigan one up at Fylde at the half with a goal scored just before halftime
Fans being entertained by a half-time competition featuring lucky fans getting a chance to take some penalties, albeit after getting all dizzy running around a ball in the D.
We're back on for the second half now, with the villainous away side kicking us off.
The second half is underway from ER!
Perhaps Peter Lorimer was passing on some tips at the half.
Brucey and Evil Neil must have been rattling some teacups during the half, if not more.
Shame. Cardiff have leveled it in Wales.
BUGGER!! Evil Cardiff ties it up vs the Canaries.
Joe Rails with a spot kick for Evil Neil's side.
Lovely long ball from Chester to Hutton that just floats out of play. Keep it up, lads.
Bit of silliness now between Hutton and Ekuban.
Caleb Ekuban called for a foul on E.F. Hutton.
Snoddy needs to learn the error of his ways.
Boom boom, mate, except that, when that Hutton talks, nobody listens!
Leeds got away with a challenge that was really Ayling. Villa did not capitalize, but then win a corner.
Not liking this at all. We've definitely taken the foot off the gas and are letting Villa back into this one. Adomah in on goal and kept out by Wiedwald.
Cheers! LOL! Funny, but true.
Oh - great move there started by Cooper who spread it wide to Saiz who fizzed a great ball over and Ekuban really should have scored.
Leeds would have gone two up, but a pass intended for Ekuban was not quite Pre Saiz as it was a little too far in front.
Useless cross from Neil Taylor. More of That please.
An hour gone and apparently Brucey's Plan B is to stick Jack Grealish on.
Roofe draws a foul from Hutton who really should be booked at this point for the dissent at least.
A Pre Saiz solo run and E.F. Hutton livid, but he did commit a foul just outside the Villa box.
I'd love to see this one go straight in.
Bugger! Cooper nodded home a teasing free kick but from an offside position. Shame.
BUGGER!! Mini Cooper headed in the free kick from Roofe, but it was disallowed for offside.
Hutton again goes in hot there on Roofe. Corner.
And another foul by Hutton - what is Peter Banks playing at?
Hutton is begging for a card as he's fouling about every ten seconds.
A double change from Brucey as Jack Grealish and Henri "Angela" Lansbury are on for Josh Onomah. Not sure who else came off.
Grealish on then. Also former Gunner Lansbury on.
BUGGER! Canadian international, Junior Hoilett, has given Evil Cardiff a 2-1 lad vs the Canaries.
Kalvin Phillips. called for a foul on Adomah near the Leeds corner flag.
We're giving away too many silly fouls and corners now.
Wiedwald lost the flight of the ball off the free kick, but thankfully, Villa didn't take advantage.
Time for some changes from Christiansen.
BUGGER! Lansbury is allowed to stride forward and hit one in off the post.
1-1
BUGGER !!!! HENRI LANSBURY TIES IT UP WITH A LONG RANGE EFFORT OFF THE INSIDE OF THE POST. Made Leeds look like Angela Lansbury. Questionable defending despite the great finish
Jansson injured in the move that led up to the goal.
Sorry, mate. It's Leeds time.
MOT!
Jansson with another bad foul there - yellow card.
Fifteen minutes left to dig out a win now.
WOW!!! Fylde ties it up vs Wigan in the Cup with a spot. Now 1-1.
Another big home crowd tonight - they deserve to see a win.
It's all Villa now - what happened at half-time?
Now another Leeds booking thanks to a less than Pre Saiz challenge.
Brucey showing what he learned from the SAF school of management training.,
Sam thinks that Peter Banks is not Pre Saiz in his decision making.
What - boot in the eye?
BUGGER!!! Omar Bogle has given Evil Neil's lads a 3-1 lead vs the Canaries.
Another rash foul from Phillips there. Stupid.
Fortunately, it was a rubbish free kick from Snoddy.
Caleb Ekuban not pleased at being substituted.
At this point, I might take a point. I keep worrying that we're going to press the self-destruct button.
Just over five minutes and stoppage time to play now. Keep it tight, lads.
Jansson is involved in some naughty misbehavings.
Now it's handbags between Jansson and a couple of Villa players.
I'd pull him off now and put Etherington on.
A draw would not be the worst result in the world considering its' against one of the top teams in the division.
I agree - I got excited about three points there during the first half.
El Mohammedy is on for Albert Adomah in the final roll of the dice for Brucey
Ahmed Elmohady coming on for a late cameo - crikey, Villa have a deep squad!
A quartet of stoppage time minutes.
Into stoppage time now - Ayling is ailing a bit.
Maake that a quintet due to the injury to Ayling.
It's over in South Wales as Evil Cardiff have defeated the Canaries 3-1. A shame.
And finally Alan Hutton goes into the book.
BOOM BOOM. He sure is.
That is a shame. Ah well...
Still 1-1 between Fylde and Wigan in the Cup in a contest filled with drama.
Blow up, ref. I've seen enough.
Yikes! The Canaries in 15th. What's going on with them?
Grot on for Alioski. What's the point this deep in stoppage time?
A last, late substitution - Grot on for Ali.
Agreed, mate. It's time for this contest to come to an end.
It's over at ER as it finishes 1-1 between Leeds and Villa.
That's it, then. 1-1. I'll take it. It won't improve our league position but we're now on 30 points. 20 points to get for league safety.
A decent result even though you probably would have preferred a win.
I think Leeds will be more than safe. They need to challenge for the playoffs.
It finishes 1-1 between Fylde and Wigan in a derby cup tie. The replay will be at the DW.
