Tuesday Night Action!
My beloved Leeds have enjoyed their best start to a new season since I was 10. It's been thrilling to watch Marcelo Bielsa's side over the past two weeks. Here's hoping that it will continue today as the Whites travel to South Wales for a stiff mid-week test against Swansea City. #MOT!

A nearly unchanged side from Bielsa. Only young Shackleton in today at center back.
We're wearing our dark blue number while the Swans are in all white, stealing our theme.
A couple of nervy moments early on as the Swans press forward. Don't like it.
Wahey. I'm in now. Wee spot of bother but it's sorted now. MOT!
Crisp passing from the Swans early on - don't like it. We've yet to settle.
HI Bob.. and Steve
Hiya, Gooner - thanks for joining in. Hoping for another solid win today. MOT!
Hiya, UWS - great to have you on board.
Time to build from the back now. Come on!
Do Leeds look tired to you?
Ali seemed to be in but flagged offside. Shame. Just mistimed his run.
Swansea fans claiming a penalty. No way. Great challenge by young Shackleton.
The Swans want a penalty....never ref
End to end stuff now. Pablo with a teasing cross. Collected by the keeper.
Leeds sure move the ball quicker than another certain United
Kal Phillips in trouble now for that challenge. Yellow for him early doors.
Your captain is out injured
Both sides look fairly decent. It's going to be a lot tighter than Rotherham today.
Oh - the free kick was cleared out but only to Martin Olson who tried a pop. Well over.
Rotherham take the lead vs Hull
Nice idea from Pablo, but it was a touch heavy for Ali.
Not bad that you will have been able to see three out of the four league matches and their League Cup game
Saiz picks up a soft one in good range here. We'll take it. I'd love to see this one fly in.
I'm loving it. ESPN+ has been well worth the dosh so far.
Douglas takes and rolls a soft one low to the keeper.
Weak effort there!
Nice back pass
Swansea looking a bit too dangerous for my liking. Corner now.
Phew - that header from Roden could have gone anywhere. Over the bar.
Swansea pinning Leeds back a bit without creating much at all
We're giving the ball up too easily here. Not liking it.
Roberts earns another corner. No - the officials bail us out. It obviously struck Douglas on its way out. We'll take it.
Swansea surely have a corner but the officials are pleasantly blind at that particular moment...actually went off the hand!!
Oh dear
Sorry mate
Straight thru the middle..0-1
BUGGER! McBurnie scores for Swansea. That was coming, unfortunately. We've been pinned back so far. Need to come out of our shells.
1-0 Swans
Touch of fortune there as McBurnie nearly bollixed it up and then Peacock-Farrell surely should have done better.
Looks like Bielsa is getting set to make an early change - wow!
Looks like it will be Kal Philips to make way. Bold move. But Kal's on a yellow already and has coughed up the ball several times already.
Silly yellow card now for Kemar Roofe as he chased back.
Leeds have to make a chance....things can only get better
I hope so, mate. Thanks!
Hull tie it up at Rotherham
QPR haven't let in SEVEN yet
Oh - best move yet from us. Shackleton overlapped but then his delivery was right at the keeper. Great position, though. We need more of that attacking thrust.
LOL! Give QPR time.
Half an hour gone. We need to get one back by half-time. Come on!
Swansea appear to have taken their foot off the gas since scoring; that may help us out.
Leeds their own worst enemy right now!
Oh - Celina profits from a loose ball and runs at goal before shanking a shot wide. Don't like it.
I agree - we've been far too loose tonight.
Pompey one up at Bristol Rovers
Peterborough only nil nil
POMPEY ON TOP
Cambridge two down at home to table topping Exeter
Sub in the book sharpish...pretty nasty challenge
Ah shame - Saiz had a chance for a moment there but it was quickly shut down. Swans well organized at the back.
Oh - Celina with a lovely chip there - fortunately, over the bar.
Decent effort there by Swansea...nice chip just over the bar
YES....lovely equalizer there!!
YESSSS!!!!!!
Lovely goal there. Shackleton drove at the fullback and fired over a great ball to Kemar Roofe to score his fourth!
Roofe into the roof
That puts Leeds on top as well
Leeds and Pompey flying high
MOT!
We're looking sharper all of a sudden.
Bristol City have the first of seven at Loftus Road
Lamps Lot still scoreless at home to Ipswich
Barry Douglas needs to calm down now.
LOL! QPR are rubbish.
Baker nearly on to that ball. Just too far.
Bit of a bollocking for Pablo now.
We're finishing the stronger now, really controlling midfield. I like it.
Wally with a Brolly surely is on a short plank right now!
Right now, they are rock bottom
4 played
4 Losses
0 Points
2 goals
11 conceded
-9 GD
Bottom six are all ex prem teams
Brum, Stoke, Norwich, Wednesday, Reading and QPR
Hull take the lead at Rotherham
HT... Leeds match to win
That's it for the first half. Swansea will feel a bit hard done by, as they controlled the first half hour. But we finished stronger after Bielsa made the bold move of taking Phillips off and putting Lewis Baker on.
Out of the 24 teams in the Championship, 19 teams have played in the Premier League
Can you name the five not to play in the Premier League?
Without cheating
Great trivia question!
Brentford is an obvious one.
One
Wahay! We're top of the league now - goal difference over Boro.
I don't think Ipswich have ever played in the Premier League, right?
Told you that earlier NUMPTY
Yes they have... quite a few times
Finished in the European places
Lost to United 9-0
Coverage is back
City on loan man from NYFC on for Leeds
Let me know when you want the answers
One of these five could be #50 in the Premier League
Nice by Leeds but SHOOT!!!!
Rotherham is another obvious one.
Two
Great block by Berardi there.
Brentford, Rotherham, ?, ?, ?
Sorry mate!
2-1 down
The second half has started much like the first. Don't like it.
BUGGER! There's another one from McBurnie.
2-1 Swans.
Looks what. happens when a decent cross comes in the box
How was Olson allowed to just ghost by Shackleton there. Not good.
Okay - here are my five guesses:
1. Brentford
2. Rotherham
3. Preston North End
4. Millwall
5. Sheffield Wednesday
Saiz is not happy now after being hacked down twice in close succession.
4 ot 5
Wednesday were Premier League originals
Bugger! How on earth did Wednesday ever appear in the Prem?!
Oh - another close call there. McKay with a drive over the bar. Don't like this at all. We need some changes again.
Leeds hanging on.... COME ON LEEDS
It's LEEDS TIME
ooh, I thought that was in!!
Oh - Shackleton nearly scored the second there!
Great drive and shot - set netting.
They were near the top in the early days
Waddle, Hurst and co
They were the team United were 1 down to when Bruce scored in the 90th and 96th minute to win at Old Trafford
The first of SEVEN straight wins to end the season and win our first title in 26 years
Half an hour now for us to do the biz.
Bamford about to come on, presumably for Roofe. That's been the change in most of the matches.
Oh - McBurnie on his hat-trick. Peacock-Farrell was able to tip around. Good save!
Nice save by Peacock F
Derby take the lead against Ipswich
Still missing one...it's just a bit of gossip
Montero on for McKay for the Swans.
Bamford on for Roofe for the good guys.
Why take of Roofe...need goals
Oh yeah - Bristol Titties. I always forget they're in the league!
hahaha
I agree - I would like to see what Roofe and Bamford could do together. But that's been the pattern.
The players didn't hear me....I'll say it again...It's LEEDS TIME
Time for Bamford to make a big name for himself in Leeds colors tonight.
Cheers, mate!
Swans dropping back into their shells again - good for us.
Well, this paints sploshes on a blue shirt isn't exactly Leeds colors
Bamford nearly in there but he really needs crosses to do the biz.
Leeds take on Preston at ER in the Cup
Oh - great ball over there from Baker but Bamford was napping. Should have been there.
Yeah - next week. That one's on ESPN+ as well.
Almost something there through Pablo. Come on!
Derby double their lead vs Ipswich
Plenty of time for Leeds to WIN this
Decent ball in for Bamford there - that's better. And now a free kick.
Come on - this one has to go in!
Too long - nodded out for a corner.
An atrocious corner!!
You're a professional!!
Plenty of time - come on!
An atrocious corner!!
You're a professional!!
Oh - Saiz had a real chance and he blew it. What was he thinking?
a chance.... muffed it
Fer off after a fair performance.
That pun is dedicated to our missing punster in chief - MUR!
Pompey still one up
Posh still 0-0
Pompey still top
GEEZ
Get a good cross over!
I knew that you'd enjoy that one. ;-)
Leeds are making the wrong choice with the final ball
Rotherham 2 Hull 3
Balls - Klich gives up a free kick in a dangerous area.
I agree - a bit too Spanish for my taste.
What did you make of that Swansea free kick?
Bugger...Bristol Rovers have tied it up vs Pompey
Not enough urgency from Bamford there. He looks as if he's playing in the park with his kiddies. Corner.
Corner for Leeds...make it better this time...much better
YES!!!
Great goal!!!
Great turn by Bamford and cross to Pablo!
YESSSS!!!!!!
Pablo equalizes against his old club. Great work from Bamford on the wing and an early ball in!
Desmond!
Now let's win it!!!!
Defender made a hash of his legs there for the clearance
Absolutely
Great away support from our old firm.
Last change for the Swans
Martin Olson coming off and fellow Swede to come on.
Both sides going for it - I like it!
A little over five minutes to play now.
Bugger. Berardi with a silly foul there. Dangerous.
Don't get them being so stupid sometimes!
Oh - Van der Horn had a free header there. Fortunately, he put it well over.
They survive the stupidity
Free kick chance for us now.
Bristol City 3 nil up at Loftus Road!
Wally and the Brolly must but gone
Oh - what a save by P-F!
WHAT A GREAT SAVE!!
Phew!
I like the long ball there...it was needed... was that a pen?????
Oh - Bamford went down in the box. That looked a penalty to me.
almost another chance!
The game is really stretched now.
Yellow for Saiz there - silly.
Four minutes of stoppage time to come.
Time for one last big chance - come on!
Free kick chance now late on.
This is as amped up as I've seen Bielsa all season. He wants it!
Absolute rubbish from Pablo at the free kick. Corner.
And another free kick now. Let's make it count!
Free kick for Leeds
COME ON
It's LEEDS TIME
Play stopped for injury now.
That should do it
I have to leave
Still unbeaten and TOP OF THE TABLE
Congrats mate
Cheers, mate - thanks for joining in. That's it. Not displeased with the point. That was a heck of a match.
