League Cup Third Round Tuesday
A very good Tuesday afternoon to all of you out there in the LOB orbit. It's League Cup time...well, at least for some. Alas, my beloved Leeds United were knocked out by bloody PNE in the last round, so they'll be playing Boro instead this week. The highlight of the day's fixtures is surely Frankie Lampard's clash against his old boss Jose Mourinho when Derby come to Old Trafford. Unfortunately, I'll be marooned in a tedious meeting for much of the afternoon, so I'll be in and out. But I thought I'd start this thread for those of you who are less encumbered this afternoon. Cheers!

Hiya, chaps - I'm back from my tedious meeting and have dialed up the ESPN+ link for the United v. Derby match. United are 1-0 up already some ten minutes in through a Juan Mata goal. Apparently is was merely a Mata of time before the Red Devils scored.
That's a tribute to MUR this afternoon. Boom boom!
Oh - big miss from Lukaku there - should have scored. Derby lucky to only be one down.
Our second round vanquishers, PNE have scored against Boro. They're on a tear in this competition.
Norwich are 0-2 up away at Wycombe.
Another sitter missed by The Chunk. He was essentially under the crossbar and somehow put it over. Martial has been ripping the Derby defense apart.
Bailly puts a chance wide. They're all over these mugs so far.
Gabby Jesus has put Citeh 0-1 up at Oxford. Nice run out for the Citeh scrubs tonight.
Shane Long has put Burnley 0-1 up at Burton. So the Prem clubs are crushing it so far.
Norwich now 1-3 up at Wycombe.
Best move of the match for Derby. Nice little chip into the box toward Nugent but just mistimed the jump.
Half time at Old Trafford then. United only up by a goal but in control of this one.
Nearly an hour gone now in the second half and I'm off home. United still 1-0 up.
Condolences to MUR and UWS. United have been knocked out of the League Cup in the most dramatic terms, 8-7 on penalties with Scott Carson saving the final pen.
JOSE OUT!!!
