Wolves go into this one feeling pretty darn happy after getting one over West Ham – the continuation of whose death march you can follow later on – and have made a very solid start to life in the top flight.
Burnley’s problems are a little bigger. It’s probably a relief that a squad this stretched has gone out of Europe but that doesn’t automatically bring Premier League results.
Teams coming out at Molineux:

Wolves are all over these mugs. Burnley have clearly deteriorated since last season, where they qualified for Europe!
Not sure we’re in for many goals today but Wolves look very assertive when they step the pressure up. They’ve asked the questions so far.
Burnley don’t look very good on the ball at all, thus far. But they’re not being given much time on it. Looking like a tough afternoon on early evidence.
Better from Burnley int he last five minutes but Wolves are surely going to break the deadlock soon. Costa should have pulled the trigger earlier a moment ago.

I agree with you about Wolves' kit. I don't like how these sides are starting to wander from their traditional colors. When, for example, did Watford start wearing vertical stripes? They now look like Hull City.
Let's be honest, this one hasn't been much to write home about. I've been reading the Sunday paper while watching it.

Half-time - No one could be blamed for skipping this one. It hasn't been one for the purists. Burnley with the usual blood and thunder rearguard action that Sean Dyche demands. And Wolves didn't quite have the quality to press the advantage of their possession.

I was coaching Siena soccer yesterday at Berkshire CC
A strange incident happened. A foul was called on the field but somewhere else one of our players started walking out of his position and saying to the referee that someone was going to hit him. Everyone just watched as he was walking and the running as the other guy starting going after him!

Well, the guy was sent off but wouldn't leave at first. He then just jumped over the fence and was technically off the field. He kept saying he was going to go after him after the match.

The guy did say a few things as we were walking to the bus but nothing came of it

That is really bizarre incident . Wonder why the opposing staff didn't do anything as it was player safety.

Despite it being 0-0, Burnley looks like the newly promoted team and Wolves looks like the team that finished 7th last season.
I am still officially a coach on the team and get paid by Siena but Matt, who graduated, takes my place and I just pay him. He is in Boston this weekend that's why I went!

A long Wolves possession culminated in Helder Costa playing Doherty down the right and his pass into the box was diverted into the corner by Jimenez.
Not sure what Burnley's Plan B is now. Actually, I do. In matches I've watched, they tend to put Chris Wood on for Sam Vokes. One big lad for another. But never the two of them together for some reason. Do they dislike each other?

That's it as Wolves defeat a flat Burnley side 1-0 and it should have been more , but for poor finishing.

Back for the late one now. These are two sides that aren't very good - that goes without saying. Still - given the stakes - this could be an interesting fixture.
For West Ham, things can surely only get better. A winless, pointless and pretty worthless start to the season for a team that splashed out almost £100m on nine new signings this summer. Another defeat would usher in their worst ever start to a season.
The headline at Goodison is that Manuel Pellegrini has made six changes (!) to his side today. It's a gamble, but they've been shite, so why not?
