Saturday, Saturday, Saturday...is Football Day!
Morning, chaps. I'm starting this thread in the wee hours so that I can enjoy a nice lie-in during the first match. Fulham v. Watford just doesn't seem that inspiring so I'm going to opt for 40 more winks. That's followed by the 10am kickoffs, including Liverpool v. Southampton on the NBC Sports. I'll have my eye on Leeds v. Birmingham on the Guardian site. Then I'll have to head over to a Fredonia Open House at noonish. So, it'll be a short morning, but join me at any time. Cheers!
200 Comments:
Hi there, everyone. I'm here at the start of the second half of the match from Craven Cottage. Watford are currently 0-1 up through a goal by Andre Gray.
Watford are currently in 5th but a win here would lift them to 3rd, at least temporarily. Fulham would stay in 15th but would perhaps drop perilously close to the drop zone later in the day with a loss.
Oh - great run and shot by Gray, really tested the Fulham keeper.
GOAL! Bad boy Mitrovic pounces on a chance in the six yard box to flick home Fulham's equalizer.
1-1!
Mitrovic is now joint top scorer with Eden Hazard on five goals.
Oh - Mitrovic hits the bar!
Foster might have got a touch onto the bar there. Very, very close to a Fulham winner.
Full-time at Craven Cottage. Watford stay 5th temporarily and Fulham will jump to 14th.
Next up are the 10am kickoffs, including the NBC Match - Liverpool v. Southampton and of course the untelevised Leeds v. Brum, which I'll be following closely.

Bees take the lead at the Rams. Are they now top?
Glad to see light blue doesn't clash with royal blue in the match on CNBC. That should occur more often.
Terriers move out of the drop zone as they take the lead at the Foxes.
They're still a point behind us on and on goal difference. We have a four goal advantage over them. As the saying goes, "Goal difference is worth a point."
That is a sensible approach for Citeh and Cardiff.
Oh - Salah was threatening there, but the center backs dealt with it well.
Mattias Jorgensen AKA Zanka with the goal.
GOAL! An own goal from Hoedt gives Liverpool the lead. No will care about that down the line.
GOAL !!! POOL TAKES THE LEAD THANKS TO AN OG.
Liverpool pressure paying off there, with Shaquiri finding a great position and then firing a low cross in that Hoedt could only knee into his own net.
1-0 Reds!
Zanka has given Huddersfield an early lead over Leicester.

Cardiff won a tackle then Sterling immediately won the ball back and some passing between him, Sane , and Gundogan resulted in a long range effort in the upper 90.
