Johnny Hates Jazz 30th Anniversary
Even though he seldom contributes, a Lakenheath Old Boy has been busy as of late. My big bro Mike has been celebrating their 30th anniversary of their hugely successful album Turn Back the Clock. Last Friday, they released a 3 CD version of TBTC. A new acoustic version, a remastered copy of the original and then a set of extended mixes. A vinyl version is also available.
They have had a some radio interviews of late and I thought I would share. Here is a south coast radio show they were on recently. Mike hardly talks(mic wasn't near him) and the numpty called him Mike Nochito!

Cheers, mate - I'm looking forward to listening to the radio interview tomorrow. Can't wait to hear that acoustic disc - sounds like an excellent idea.
Cheers mate
I had a chance to listen in to the interview this morning and really enjoyed it - actually, I had so much fun, I also listened to the one with Le Tiss that was featured on the website.
Of course, for my taste, there was a bit too much "Clark" and a bit too little "Mike" in that interview, but I suppose that Mike is used to Clark being the face of the band, eh? Glad to hear that Mike has "aged incredibly well" over the years due to the "fresh air" in Britain. Wish I had! Really enjoyed the acoustic stuff. Who's playing the piano - very tasteful stuff.
Any of you LOBers who hasn't listened in yet, go ahead and let's be having ya!
One more question. Clark's accent - West Country? South Coast? Trans-atlantic? I can't quite place it.
Thanks Bob
Mike usually does talk quite often but he said there wasn't a mic close to him
Clark is from the West Country
Just added a second interview
This from a year or so ago on BBC Radio 2
Mike talks on this one
Glad Mildenhall gets a mention
Hope others listen
Brilliant! Cheers!
