We're Back in Business!
Football is back, gents! We've somehow been able to make it through another interminable international break. This morning, we're back with a bang, with the two Uniteds kicking us off early doors this morning. Leeds kick off against Blackburn at the top of the hour, whilst Chelski and ManYoo get going at 7:30am. So, pour yourself a strong cuppa and join me for all the action!

A very good Saturday morning, boys. I'm up early days for the crack of dawn hoping to see a winning outing for my Leeds at Ewood Park. Unfortunately there is no coverage on the Plus of the match, so I'm just following it on the LUFC website. Come on, you Whites!
Here is the Leeds line-up for the match at Blackburn:
Leeds: Peacock-Farrell, Berardi, Cooper, Jansson, Dallas, Phillips, Klich, Alioski, Saiz, Roofe, Roberts. Subs: Blackman, Forshaw, Hernandez, Pearce, Baker, Shackleton, Clarke.
I'm delighted to see that Kemar Roofe is back in the starting line-up and Pablo Hernandez is on the bench. That should be a real tonic for us.
At the same time, the preliminaries have started at Stamford Bridge where Jose Mourinho is enjoying his return to his old stomping grounds.
Bloody hell! Danny Graham has scored within two minutes for Blackburn. Grrr!
Good morning Bob up early to join you for the big match. How have you been this week?
That goal from Danny Graham cracker doesn't fell like a cracker.
Teams at the tunnel at Stamford Bridge now.
Chelsea: Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Willian, Morata, Hazard.
Subs: Fabregas, Barkley, Pedro, Caballero, Giroud, Zappacosta, Cahill.
Manchester United: de Gea, Young, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw, Pogba, Matic, Rashford, Mata, Martial, Lukaku.
Subs: Bailly, Sanchez, Andreas Pereira, Fred, Ander Herrera, Romero, Darmian.
Referee: Mike Dean (Wirral).
Morning, MUR - I've had a busy but good week. Thanks for joining me at the crack of dawn for you.
UWS is in the Big Apple this weekend, so he won't be joining us. Hopefully others will join in.
Agreed, mate. Hope UWS has a great time in the Big Apple.
It was a pretty quiet week here.Monday was a teacher workday and I took off yesterday.. Also had a spell of unusually cool weather.
They're off from SB on a spectacularly sunny London day
COME ON MAN UNITED!
COME ON MAN UNITED!
COME ON MAN UNITED!
And we’re off! Alvaro Morata gets the ball rolling!
Teams in their traditional colors, thankfully and Derek Rae and the Little Neviller on the microphones.
First corner to United. Come on, you Red Devils!
mATA WINS A CORENR ON HIS RETURN TO sb>
Great to see the teams wearing their first choice colors.
GRRRRRRR!!!! The Dean of refs officiating this match. Might as well be Dean Martin
Pogba blocks from his international teammate, Kante. Yes He can.
Alvaro Morata impedes Smalling as that cross came in.
We need a goal at Ewood Park, pronto. I don't want to go in 1-0 down at the interval.
Jorginho averaging 120 passes a match, which may not impress our Bob. Your thoughts?
Agreed.
MOT!
COME ON LEEDS!
United making most of the early running here at the Bridge.
Not impressed at all. Jorginho is a water carrier.
Oh dear - Matic trips up Hazard right on the edge of the box and the Blues have an early free kick.
cHELSEA WIN A FREE KICK OFF A CLUMSY CHALLENGE FROM yASH, WHICH HOPEFULLY is not a Hazard.
BLOODY HELL! Matic fouls Hazard in the D off a short Chelsea free kick
Alonso to take. Sideshow Bob also over it.
Marcos Alonso to take about a couple of inches to the left of the D
No - it's Willian in the end and he hoofed it well over the bar.
Free kick from Willian not like a Brazilian free kick, but a nightmare of a kick well over.
Still dark outside, as if it's 3 in the morning.
First half coming to a close at Ewood Park. Come on!
Matic booked for cumulative infractions as he fouls Hazard this time. Will that pose a hazard for United.
Kovacic hacks down Matic and Jose isn't happy about it. Close to a booking.
YIKES! Just noticed that the Tessiders won 1-2 at Hillsborough yesterday , putting them top of the table. this current score puts Leeds fourth and Blackburn a surprising fifth .
United were singing a Toon of being tow down at this stage of their last Prem match
UNited with a bunch of karate chops judged to earn United a corner.
Into one minute of stoppage time at Ewood Park. Come on!
Chelsea head clear then United with a 70 yard back pass to De Gea. No wonder why UWS gets frustrated watching United.
Did you see my update of the Championship standings and the result from yesterday?
Beilsa and translators will have quite a halftime talk and perhaps make a couple of substitutions.
YESSSS!!!!!
Right on the stroke of half-time, Gaetano has returned from injury to level it at Ewood Park! 1-1!
sliced apart as Hazard gets a pass from Kovacic and United clear for a Chelsea corner.
Sorry, it was Mateuz Klich with the finish. His fifth of the season.
Sorry, mate. The Blues take the lead through a free header for Rudiger.
DAMN !!!! A FREE HEADER FOR RUDIGER OFF THE CORNER AND HE HEADS CHELSEA INTO THE LEAD. HOW COULD HE MISS?
Nice corner from Willian , but atrocious marking from Lindelof.
Congratulations on Leeds tying it up.. Something must have Kliched and Berardi assisted with that. Leeds still in fourth while Blackburn down to seventh.
Thanks, Bob. Perhaps our United can emulate your United.
Leeds will be top with a win ahead of the 10 AM matches and the late match
A trip from Yash was a tad rash and it's a real Hazard as he's booked.
Derek Rae reminds everyone that the Wee Neviller scored a goal here twenty years ago. The anniversary of a collector's item,
We'll need to press for that winner in the second half. I'm off to fix my bagel during the half-time break at Ewood.
Rudiger picks up a yellow card to add to his goal. Busy afternoon for the German so far.
I wonder how many goal the Little Neviller scored in his career?
Enjoy a great brekkies. Meanwhile, Rudiger with a card to add to his goal.
MArcos Alonso broke the offside trap off a pass from Rudiger and thankfully, failed to control the pass.
According to Wikipedia , he scored nine in 505 club matches and none at international level.
United break and Rash is rashly tripped by Hazard about a foot outside the Chelsea box and is booked for that
Back with my brekkies to see Hazard take out Rash and collect a yellow for the striker's challenge.
It's a Mata of a free kick driven into the box and easily cleared. Chelsea attack of that and Morata fouled, but the advantage is played.
Welcome back. Sounds like quite a brekkies.
I've gone with a honey wheat bagel this weekend, instead of my usual everything bagel, so that I can enjoy some fresh grape jam that I made from our concord grapes from the backyard. Scrumptious!
Into the second half at Ewood Park.
That's a great plan. Well done.
Derek Rae teases the Little Neviller about is lack of Spanish ability. I'll bet that Phil was more mushy peas than paella during his time in Iberia.
Chelsea win a free kick as Smalling fouls Morata.
Back on for the second half at Ewood Park - come on, you Leeds boys!
He has a fairly trim figure, so he might have had some of that Mediterranean diet.
Just noticed that Fred and I inadvertently advertised for Dish Network on my FB post.
Does this Sarri side really play differently from Conte's Chelski? I don't really see it.
Are you and Fred on the Dish?
I don't blame the Wee Neviller. It sounded like Derek Rae said kipper . I would have been confused too.
Yes. We sure are. I'm watching and Fred with the usual morning nap.
Derek Rae is a linguistic trickster.
I think so. Conte's side was far more cautious than Sarri's currently is.
He sure can trick himself, LOL! He knows how to trip and fall over his own tongue.
A duo of stoppage time minutes at SB
Nearly an hour in at Ewood. Probably time for a few changes. I'd like to see Pablo get on and weave his magic.
Sarri chewing on his ciggy. Lighting up one is his escape route from SB
Cometh the hour, cometh the changes.
Chelsea one up at the half.
We've reached half time at SB. Sorry, mate. United troop in 1-0 down.
Kemar Roofe is book for a foul on the edge of the box. Probably time for him to be replaced. He's only just back from injury.
Bugger! Blackburn have taken the lead again through Darragh Lenihan,
Thanks, mate. Hoping to emulate your United
And right on time, Roofe is replaced by Pablo. It wasn't Kemar's day but still good to see him back in the colors.
Sorry, mate. Time for Desmond to make an appearance at Ewood Park.
MOT!
COME ON LEEDS!
Jose had a bit of ruck in the tunnel coming back out with Mike Dean. Not good.
Not sure why Jose is having a dispute with the Dean of officials. He needs to focus on United improving their performance.
Thanks, mate - we need it.
Second half underway.
COME ON MAN UNITED!
Oh - Morata has a half-chance early on in the second half.
Blackburn have made all three of their changes now. We've still got two in the locker.
Morata easily turns Matic and his long range effort is easily saved by De Gea.
Agreed. with the Wee Neviller that Matic needs to be substituted and that Matic has had a mare.
Hazard speeds past Yash and drives a shot straight to De Gea, then down holding his shin. Just caught by Yash.
Blackburn doing all of the attacking now. We need to turn this one around somehow.
Academy grad, Jack Clarke shoes, on for Stuart Dallas. One change remaining..
New boy Jack Clarke has replaced Stu Dallas for us now. Come on!
Based on the live report from FOTMOB, it seems end to end stuff at Ewood.
Sideshow Bob has a shot blocked for Chelsea corner.
Ten minutes left for us to salvage something from this match. Come on!
De Gea punches away the Chelsea corner then it's cleared.
Not sure why Fred is warming up for United. The last thing United need at this time is another water carrier.
Agreed. But Alexis might be one to save the day again.
GOAL! Martial levels it up for United!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! UNITED KARATE CHOP THEIR WAY TO AN EQUALIZER.
Game on now at Stamford Bridge.
Wax on, wax off, eh MUR?
Oh - Klich nearly equalized again. Great save by Raya.
Best spell of possession of the match for United. Pogba played the ball wide left to Shaw. His cross was headed out then Kepa saved a close range effort from Mata The a couple of headed clearances broke to Yash as his shot from the edge of the box was saved and and a close range rebound was karate chopped in.,
Bugger! Alioski went down in the box but no penalty given. But at least we're pressing now.
One last change - Jamie Shackleton has replaced Berardi.
Correct, mate. Definitely wax on for the karate kid!
Another academy grad? The final roll of the dice from Bielsa.
You're a real Sensai!
Kai has a free header from Pablo's free kick. Saved. Come on!
Only a couple of minutes from stoppage time at Ewood.
COME ON LEEDS! IT'S LEEDS TIME.
Hazard with a shot blocked for a corner that Shaw is headed by United.
Leeds have a corner after an Alioski effort is saved. Comes to nothing.
Cheers, mate - we need it!
Another penalty appeal is turned down, this time for handball.
Five minutes of stoppage time to come now.
Into stoppage time at Ewood PArk
Plenty of time for Desmond to arrive.
Clarke wins a corner but it's headed away to safety. Come on!
This drives UWS and I crazy. United have a corner, back pass to De Gea, then his clearance is straight to a Chelsea player.
Clarke again with an effort at goal. Saved.
Chelsea Shaw do have a free kick as Willian is tripped.
The Brazi combo nearly pays off as Sideshow Bob heads just wide from the free kick taken by Willian.
A Spanish clash as it's nasty foul by Mata on Azpi. Moe than a Mata of a foul. He's booked for that. Could have been an early match
It's over at Ewood as Blackburn defeat Leeds 2-1. Sorry, Bob.
First substitution and like for like as Ross Barkley on for Kovacic, who gets a standing ovation.
Bugger! Well, that's not a good start to the Saturday. Let's hope you lot can do better.
Superb acrobatic long range save by De Gea from Kante off a pass from Hazard. Then Chelsea win a free kick on the left touchline.
Free kick from Willian basically catching practice for De Gea.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! UNITED LEAD 1-2 AT SB THANKS TO ANOTHER KARATE CHOP CURLED IN THE CORNER, ROOTING THE KEEPER TO THE SPOT ON THE COUNTER.
Jose not celebrating as he promised in his pre match press conference.
Pedro on for Willian
Herrera on for Mata, who is applauded by both sets of supporters. A decent move as United aim to hold on to the lead.
United's last win at SB was SAF's last season ion charge of United. They won 2-3.
Back to the goal. A brilliant United counter. Yash played Mata down the right and he cheekily lobbed Sideshow Bob as he continued his run. He passed to Rash , whose pass to the edge of the box was brilliantly karate copped in the bottom corner of the goal, rooting Kepa to the spot.
Final roll of the dice from Sarri as Olly on for Morata. Sure hope Chelsea will feel Sarri when the final whistle is blown by the Dean of officials.
I missed it while I was waking up Kate. I'll look forward to seeing the replay.
Thanks for the well wishes, Bob. Your presence has inspired United to this 1-2 lead.
Hope Kate is doing well. You would appreciate both the passing and the great finish
Final rolls of the dice from Jose and Rash wasting time as he's supposedly injured.
A really slow walk off from the karat kid with a great double as he's replaced by Perreira. Alexis yet to come on.
Now the final roll of the dice from Jose as Alexis is on for Rash amidst a chorus of boos.
This would certainly be a season changing win for United away to one of the title contenders.
RUUDY NORAH! HALF A DOZEN STOPPAGE TIME MINUTES. WHAT FOR?
Six minutes of stoppage time to come now.
Agreed, Bob. This would be a rare win at SB for us. Last won here in SAF's last season in charge of United.
Giroud wants a penalty but that was an excellent tackle by LIindelof.
Olly goes down under a challenge from Lidelof , looking for a penalty. The Dean of officials having none of it.
Just over a minute of stoppage to play now.
Perreira gives away a free kick then booked for throwing away the ball.
Sorry, mate. Barkley has broken hearts right at the death. Massive scramble after a header off the post.
Desmond at the Bridge.
DAMN IT. ROSS BARKLEY SCORES TO MAKE IT DESMOND IN THE FINAL SECONDS.
A conflict breaks out as someone taunted Jose. Was it Sarri or was it one of the players?
And a big ruck on the benches after the Chelski players go toward the United bench to celebrate.
Now a fight breaks out on the pitch
It was idiotic behavior from one of the Chelsea assistants.
It appears that it was a member of the Chelski staff that interfered with matters. Now it's spilled onto the pitch. The ref should probably just blow up at this point.
It's over as it finishes Desmond. Both coaches with a handshake , but Jose said something to Sarri.
Of to take Elizabeth grocery shopping then will be back for the 10 AM matches.
That's that, then. Disappointing for United and Jose in the end when they were only a minute from a famous win. Tempers flared at the end then but it's honors even.

Welcome back, mate - how was the driving?
In the Scots Cup , Formartine United takes the lead at Albion Rovers , bottom of the Football League
After that last gasp equalizer, Chelski are top, albeit with Citeh playing now and Liverpool later.
Thanks, mate. Pretty smooth driving for a Saturday morning and back in time as the skies gradually darken
Chelsea will be pleased with their last gasp equalizer, but that's three consecutive drawn matches for them.

Tangerines take the lead vs the Real Dons.
Nice SPuds build up and Cissy has a shot deflected over for a corner.
Flappy flaps out the corner from Trippier./

We could have used some points today. We're still fourth as I type but that won't last long as other matches kick off.
Argyle takes the lead vs Richard Burton.
Scunny two up at High Wycombe.
Don't Call Me Schurrle has scored for Fulham away to Evil Cardiff.
