Sunday Morning in the Prem Returns
Morning, chaps! We're back at it this morning starting with Bournemouth v. Arsenal. The autumn was great for these two teams. In September and October they played 21 games between them in all competitions, winning 17 and losing only two. Arsenal shook off the early season rust and life seemed super under Unai Emery. Bournemouth continued their extraordinary story from the nether regions of L1 to the top six of the Premiership. So, who's going to enjoy this November weekend more? Join me to find out.

Good morning, Bob. Looking forward to joining you for what should be an exciting opening match. That's followed by Wolves vs the Terriers
In the Second City Derby, Villa lead Brum 3-2.

Doing well. Thank you for asking. How are you?
I'll be honest, I may skip the late one. Not sure I'm interested in Wolves and Hudders.
They're off from the Vitality
And we're away at the Vitality. Bournemouth in their usual stripes and Arsenal wearing their absurd turquoise away nonsense.
Not sure about the late one to be honest. Wolves may make it interesting. Not sure.
Both teams attacking. Wish we would see that more often
This one has some potential to be interesting.
It sure does and there does not seem to be a clear favorite .
Agreed. Gooner is a bit baffled by the Arsenal line-up. I'm assuming that Emery Board has studied the tapes on the Cherries and is trying to neutralize some of their danger men with a bit of graft. Ozil is a luxury in this kind of match.
Bournemouth have it in the net but it's flagged off.
GOAL !!! No it's not as David Brooks has a goal disallowed for offside. if he was it was by inches. Nice team move
Oh - Torreira off the post! Then Miki blasts over. End to end stuff.
OH! Off the Sunday Roast from Torreira after getting past Simon Francis then blasted over by Miki
Both sides playing well and going for goals. It is refreshing to see, as you said.
That sounds about right. Ozil normally starts, but Miki starting in his place. Thought there might be a place for Ramsey today
Surprised to see starting. Didn't think there would be a pl;ace for philosophers in this match
Villa take a 4-2 lead in the Second City Derby.
Cally Wilson wins a corner for the Cherries.
Sokratis using his brain to prevent a goal by Cally Wilson after Charlie Daniels played a nice one two down the left.
Here's a silly trivia question for you: This match is one of only three possible fixtures involving sides that have body parts in their names (BourneMOUTH and ARSEnal).
What is the other one?
That's a good question. I know that BRAINtree play in the fifth tier . That probably doesn't count
Begovic tips over a shot from compatriot, Kolasinac
These are Premier League fixtures.
OH!!!! Aubama shoots over the corner from Xakha Khan from close range
Oh - Kolasinac had a chance with the header but in the end nodded back to the crosser.
I got it. PlyMOUTH
Sokratis booked for grabbing Cally wilson just outside the box.
LOL! They're a long way from the Prem.
Jay Leno does well to turn around the free kick from Wee Ryan
I guess he didn't It's given as a goal kick. The Emery Board not pleased that Bournemouth got two bites at the Cherry for the free kick
The Second City Derby is over and Villa have won 4-2
GOAL! A cracking own goal by Lerma puts Arsenal into the lead.
OH!!!! THE GUNNERS TAKE THE LEAD DUE TO A BIZARRE OG BY JEFFERSON LERMA. RYAN GOSLING CHEAPLY CONCEDED POSSESSION . IT WAS PLAYED TO KOLASINAC AND WHAT WAS IN REALITY, A POOR PASS , CAME OFF OF LERMA FOR AN OG FROM 25 YARDS OUT, WELL PLACED IN THE CORNER.
I'll give you a hint on the trivia, mate. Two of them share the same city name.
Sokratis tackles Josh King for a Cherries corner off a long ball.
Who's the guy doing the color commentary on this one, mate?
Begovic does well to turn around a long range effort from Iwobi
It's Peter Drury AKA Peter Dreary . Jim Beglin assisting
I mentioned PlyMOUTH. Can't think of any others. Is it a Prem club?
Cheers, mate.
Yeah - all of them are Premiership clubs - two from the same city and then another.
Sounds like a London club. sorry I can't think of another one.
Arsenal really dominating affairs now heading toward the break.
Nope - all three are Northern clubs.
ManCHESTer United and ManCHESTer City ?
David Brooks offside off a nice team move as he was through on goal. Into stoppage time . A minute of that
GOAL! Josh King fires Bournemouth back into this one.
1-1!
GOAL !!!! JOSH KING TIES IT UP ONM THE STROKE OF HALFTIME WITH A SHOT IN THE UPPER 90 OFF A CHERRIES COUNTER. WEE RYAN WENT ON A SPEEDY RUN DOWN THE LEFT, PASSED TO CALLY WILSON, WHO PASSED TO DAVID BROOKS THEN PASSED TO KING, WHO SCORED WITH A GREAT FINISH
Yep! That's the two from the same city. What about the other one? Top club!
It's 1-1 at the half as the Cherries tied it up with the last kick of the half.
LIVERpool? Is that the other club?
The second half is underway from The Vitality in a vital match
There you go! Well done, mate. I'll have to torture UWS with that one if he comes on today.
All to play in this second half now.
Definitely not a penalty, Wee Ryan. Then Steve Cook with a perfect tackle on Aubama.
Never a penalty.
Cheers.mate. Tell him you snooze, you lose.
Nathan Ake booked for a foul on Miki. Thought that was harsh
Iwobi blasts a pass and it comes off for a corner.
Arsenal knocking on the door here.
A spell of pressure by the Gunners , but all their shots are blocked. Kolasinac wins a corner.
Horrible corner from Miki straight to the first man
Torreira has a long range effort take a wicked deflection for a corner.Corner from Miki headed away by Ake. Cherries now on the attack.
Iwobi wins a corner off of Wee Ryan
Charlie Daniels down off a barge from Mustafi. Seems to be okay, just a bit winded.
Miki gifted possession by Jefferson Lerma and passes to Aubama, who shoots well over.
David B rooks shoots straight at Jay Leno after Josh King held off a defender and passed to him
GOAL! Aubama slides in to put Arsenal in the lead again. That one was coming as Bournemouth were starting to look a bit ragged.
1-2!
Great move there from the Gunners. Iwobi slid a lovely through ball inside the defender to Kolasanac who ran onto it and knocked over the perfect ball for Aubama to nick home.
Oh - Miki was slid in there by Aubama on the break but he got it all wrong.
The away fans in full voice now.
Jefferson Lerma had been booed for a cynical push on Mustafi. The fee kick was taken shot and Iwobi played it wide left to Kolasinac and his pass was diverted in by Aubama for a 1-2 lead.
That booking for Jefferson Lerma was his fifth of the season, so he will b suspended for the match at Citeh next weekend.
Wee Ryan straight to Jay Leno off a pass from Jefferson Lerma
The Guardian blog: "That Sanchez-Mkhitaryan transfer really is one of those rare cases where both sides lost." Your thoughts?
Junior Stanislaus on for David Brooks and former LUFC academy player, Lewis Cook, on for actor, Ryan Gosling
It sure seems that way. That trade hasn't worked well for either side.I think United were the bigger losers.
I miss Lewis. He was a good egg.
Just to let you know that Leeds vs the Reading Railroad will be on ESPN Plus on Tuesday afternoon.
LOL. Two many Cooks for the Cherries Jubilees?
Lovely! I'll have to miss some of it for a tedious meeting but I should be able to catch some.
Kolasinac goes on a solo run and then gets a bit greedy as he shoots into the side netting.
Like for like as the French Hair Bear is on for Torreira.
Guendouzzi on for Torreira to bolt the door.
Oh - Stanislaus had a half-chance there. Scuffed it.
Thought you would like that. Leeds have an early match at Bramall Lane on Saturday. Not sure if that's on Plus.
Oh dear, Miki. Left his shooting boots at home today.
Junior Stanislaus with a shot comfortably saved by Jay Leno off pass from Charlie Daniels. Then Miki has a shot land in Row H, which is the upper deck in this stadium
I would imagine that the Plus will have our early morning clash with the Evil Blades next weekend.
Like for like as Ramsey is on for Iwobi. One change left for each side.
The final roll of the slot machine Eddie Howe and like for like as Louis Mousset is on for Josh King.
Probably so. It hasn't been listed yet, but hope that match is on Plus.
Oh - off the post from o.g. boy Lerma!
OH!!! A long range effort from Jefferson Lerma crashes off the Sunday Roast
Bournemouth really piling it on now, looking for Desmond. Wonder where they went in the first part of the half.
A clash between Cally Wilson and Jay Leno and both are the worse for wear, but seem to be okay
Mustafi down too. Didn't see him involved in the clash
Wee Ryan has a cross headed out by Socrates that deflects off of Mustafi for a Cherries corner.
The corner off of Daniels and Jay Leno forced to turn around a deflection off of Mustafi
Into stoppage time
We're singing about a quartet of those minutes
Four minutes of stoppage for Arsenal to sit out.
Just for UWS, Emery with a late, late substitution. Goal scorer Aubama coming off. Maitland-Niles on.
One of those annoying stoppage time substitutions, which is the final roll of the dice for the Emery Board as Eddie Nketiah is on for Aubama.
Agreed. UWS will be furious
Oh dear - Mustafi gives up a bad foul in a dangerous area. Free kick chance now for the Cherries.
Mustafi fouls Cally Wilson in the D, inches outside the box. Last chance for the Cherries.
It's taking forever to get this free kick taken.
Stanislaus blasts over and that's it.
Arsenal run out 1-2 winners.
The free kick is blasted over by Junior Stanislaus and that's it as the Gunners win 1-2 at The Vitality
As I mentioned, mate, I'm off now. That's enough for me.
I've got another great trivia question that I'll post tomorrow. Look out for it!
Off to take Sparky walkies . Will you be around for the late match?
Cheerio!
Cheers, mate. Great chatting with you. Enjoy the rest of the day.
CHEERS!
