A Late Start to a Sunday
I made the executive decision to sleep in through the mid-table early morning clash between Watford and Leicester at Vicarage Road; however, I'm looking forward to the two matches later on, starting with Fulham v. Chelski and especially the Merseyside Derby, which closes the weekend's action. Join me for the Sunday fun, won't you?

I made the same executive decision
I washable to shower and walk Shadow as well
As I get back from walk, Leicester shoot themselves in the foot... modern day goalkeeping...giving the ball away... UNBELIEVABLE!!
Watford win 2-1
Now on to a double header of derbies
West London followed by the Merseyside edition
Keep back in goal for the blues
Good morning Bob and Dave. I made the same executive decision and I must have turned on the TV the same exact second as uws.
The West London Derby is the second one of the weekend.
I hope the Dahlgrens have moved all the furniture out of the way for the next match at The Cottage
I am definitely in the Cottagers' corner today...come on you White!
Morning, boys - great to have you on board.
Morning David
So, Claudio Ranieri will not face his former club but Scott Parker will – as the caretaker Fulham manager. Ranieri was sacked after a miserable run of three wins in 17 games, leaving Fulham 10 points from safety and Parker, the Italian’s first-team coach, to pick up the pieces and smooth the club’s inevitable return to the Championship.
Former Chelsea player, Scott Parker, in charge at Bob & Kates. Chelsea had their starting Kappa back in goal.
Cheers, Bob and Dave. Great to be on board. Got some coffee brewing.
Scotty Parker's first line up... making one change from the loss at St. Marys
Fulham: Rico, Odoi, Nordtveit, Ream, Bryan, Chambers, McDonald, Babel, Cairney, Sessegnon, Mitrovic.
Subs: Ayite, Vietto, Le Marchand, Christie, Seri, Zambo, Fabri.
Sarri has caved and had Kepa stand on the Naughty Step for only one game
Chelsea: Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Christensen, Emerson, Kante, Jorginho, Barkley, Willian, Higuain, Hazard.
Subs: Pedro, Loftus-Cheek, Caballero, Kovacic, Giroud, Hudson-Odoi, Luiz.
Have you moved the furniture ?
The teams are out on the pitch at the Cottage:
Fulham: Rico; Odoi, Nordtveit, Ream, Bryan; Chambers, McDonald, Cairney; Babel, Mitrovic, R Sessegnon
Subs: Fabri, Le Marchand, Christie, Seri, Anguissa, Ayite, Vietto
Chelsea: Kepa; Azpilicueta, Rüdiger, Christensen, Emerson; Kanté, Jorginho, Barkley; Willian, Higuaín, Hazard
Subs: Caballero, David Luiz, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi, Pedro, Giroud
Referee: Graham Scott
Sorry, UWS - you just beat me to it...again!
NBC have fallen in my book recently
They were far better than Fox but did well for the World Cup
NBC have too many commercials now and them going right up to kick off
NBC used to show us all the games...now one or at most two at the same time
NBC gouging money off fans to get NBC Gold
and of course there are the three numpties
The furniture is still in place, mate. They'll just have to play around us eating brekkies.
Finally back... Chelsea make the 1.5 mile trip... COME ON YOU COTTAGERS
We are off
Off we go from the Cottage then....
I need a brace from you today and Kate adding one for good measure for the home team
Chelsea in sixth but if they win their two games in hand and they will be in fourth....need them to drop points
Two minutes into the match as Bob and Kate hosting some visitors from just around the corner,.
The Life of Bryan a life of stupidity as Willian is fouled near the corner flag.
All Chelsea... Higgy headed one wide
Higuain heads well wide off a cross from Hazard
I'm really surprised to see that Sarri has picked Kepa today - I would have had him cleaning boots for a month after his disgraceful antics at Wembley last week.
What did the Cottagers Board tell Scott Parker to do to Ranieri? They said beam him up Scottty?
ooh... Fulham with a chance... blocked and then the rebound hit just wide
Great block by Azpi then in the Life of Bryan an improved life as he curls a shot just wide.
Jose the Jerk was talking yesterday on BeIN Sports about Real Madrid
"It was not a performance of a happy team. Not a performance of a team with great belief or self-esteem. It was a soft performance"
DID YOU WATCH UNITED UNDER YOU???????
If Cottagers players don't show improvement then the new manager will be beaming them up
LOL! Sounds like he was describing one of his teams. It shows how far he's fallen if all he can do is be a talking head on a small station like BEIN
Aberdeen leading Rangers 1-0 coming up to half time in the Scottish Cup quarter final
Jose is just embarrassed that the Baby Faced Assassin has taken over so seamlessly at OT.
Scott Parker’s roaring his team on on the touchline. He looks a seasoned pro at this.
My favorite MLS ream, Orlando City, came from two down as it finished Desmond vs the Fake Citeh. Nani came off the bench to play the last twenty minutes for Orlando.
Celtic defeated Hibs 2-0 in one of the quarters yesterday
ooh Kepa drops it...shame it wasn't tapped in!
Oh - Kepa nearly made a right hash of that one. Fortunately for him Ryan Babel was napping on the job.
The Chelsea Kepa makes an absolute mess of a cross , but gathers before Ryan Babel can connect
Curling effort from Ross Barkley not too far over.
Babel...pay attention!!!
One nil Chelsea....bugger
Higgy with a nice finish
GOAL !!!HIGUAIN GIVES CHELSEA THE LEAD.
GOAL! Higgy pounces to knock in his third goal and open the goal for Chalks!
Not the goal I wanted to see...I think Kate should have saved it!
That goal is typical of the hospitality show at the Cottage this season. Sess fouled Kante in midfield. Rudiger played Willian down the right. He passed to Azpi and his pass was put away by Higuain
BEAM ME UP SCOTTY. Chambers booked by Graham Scott for pulling back Willian
I'll nag her about covering her near post.
Bob and Kate need to show improvement or else they will be beamed up by Sotty!
A little late now
The Cottagers about to become the first top flight team to lose ten London Derbies in a season. Talk about being too hospitable.
Mitrovic with a great volley...great save by the Whiner
OH!!!! Rudiger gifts possession toi Bryan m, who passed wide left to Sess and his cross was met by a great volley by Mitrovic and well tipped over by the Chelsea Kepa.
GOAL!!
Ex Gunner Chambers wide open at the back post
1-1!!!
GOAL! That didn't take long! Callum Chambers fresh from picking up a yellow card gets Fulham back in it!
GOAL !!!! THE COTTAGERS SCORE OFF THE CORNER FROM BOB'S CHAMBERS
The goal came from a shot corner taken short to Babbel. His cross was volleyed into the ground by Chambers and past the Chelsea Kepa.
Kante obstructs Cairney and somehow escapes a booking
Bugger... 2-1 Chelsea
Jorginho with a smart finish
This time Bob didn't close him down at the top of the box
GOAL !!! A COLLECTOR'S ITEM AS JORGINHO SCORES A ROCKET FROM THE D IN THE UPPER 90 OFF A PASS FROM HAZARD TO GIVE CHELSEA A 1-2 LEAD.
I'm certainly enjoying this edition of Goals on Sunday.
Higgy with another chance.... hit over
Oh - Higgy with a big miss there. Should have been three!
Jorginho started it , so he finished it. It looked like he started it with a foul on the Life of Bryan, but finished it well as Willian pass to Hazard to Jorginho for the great finish
Poor from Higuain
This half has gone by really quickly. Seems like it just started
Hazard with a shot off of Tm ream for a Chelsea corner.
Chambers with a pass intended for Sess deflected for a Cottagers corner.
Almost a great thru ball deflected for a corner...comes to nothing
Azpi down as the Chelsea did better , collecting that cross after the corner was headed away
Play resumes as Azpi is up after being winded.
Chelsea host Chicken Kiev in the EL on Thursday. Sound tasty?
Higgy could have easily had a hat-trick by now; Fulham's defending has been shocking.
Hazard with another chance after charity from Fulham....saved
Now it's Hazard through on goal - Sergio Rico did well.
Odoi had his pocket picked in a dangerous position, but is bailed out by a decent save by Sergio Rico from Hazard
Too much hospitality at the Cottage, LOL?
Not exactly a vintage Chelsea performance, but doing just enough against a struggling side.
Naughty by Emmerson on Mitrovic., He and his manager disagree, but a definite foul.
The two Daves of stoppage time minutes at the Cottage.
Great save by Sergio Rico from Higuain off a pass from Willian off a pass from, Azpi
Kate's not happy about the defending, for sure.
The Cottagers are in this match despite a not so great performance
Chelsea 1-2 up at the half at Bob and Kate's in this derby match
If Chelski keep playing even at mid-tempo, they'll score two or three more in the second half.
All square at Pittodrie
With a win here at the Cottage today, Chelski will draw within a point of Arsenal in 5th and two points from United in fourth. And they've still got a match in hand. The race for that last CL slot will likely run to the end of the season.
We're back on at the Cottage with a blast of The Clash. The Blues get us underway again.
Second half underway from Bob and Kate's
Agreed, Bob. The race for fourth is nail biting for sure.
I want Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal to drop off!!
Sergio Rico with a comfortable save from Hazard off one touch passing
Up next for FOUR from Two
Spurs away at Southampton...hope they play as well as they did at Old Trafford
Chelsea host Wolves.... Wolves usually do well vs the Top Six
United visit Arsenal....same as the Cup please
Last ten minutes north of the border
Still 1-1
Wonder what rules are in place for the Scottish Cup
Replays?
United at the EM in the late match on Saturday while the early one is the Eagles vs the Seagulls, which is for the birds.
Just read the text updates... Replay March 12
I know there were replays in the last round. Not sure about the quarters.
COME ON FULHAM!!
An all Championship quarter kicks off in a few minutes as it's the Tangerines vs Nessie. Hearts vs Thistle tomorrow.
Into the side netting by Willian . It was going to be difficult to score from that angle.
Chelski have started this second half as they finished the first. Willian runs through and tries to beat Sergio Rico from a tight angle.
Fulham almost get themselves in trouble... with all the money in the game.... how do managers allow players to take such risks
Where is ...when in doubt, kick it out!
Take chances down the other end!
Kante with a pass off of Tim Ream for a corner . Chelsea want a penalty for hand ball. Scotty says it's a corner.
Big shout for a handball against Tim Ream - didn't know much about it.
BLOODY HELL! Awful wording with the new hand ball rule to take effect.
Who thought Silhouette would occur in a Football law? Surely not Nostabobus nor Nostradavidus!
Our clocks change next weekend for the Sunday matches and the following weekend will all be an hour later
I have my baseball draft on Mar 16 but United don't kick off until a 3:55 EST
OH!!!! Mitrovic curls a long range effort just over off a deflected pass from Ryan Babbel.
Mitro hits one over the top..bugger
Ends all square
Replay time for Stevie G
Fortunately, I begin Spring Break next weekend, so that gives a week to adjust to the time change
Joprginho booked for a challenge on Sess. Seems a bit harsh
Zambo Anguissa on for Old MacDonald.
Line ups announce for the Scouser's derby
We can wait until after this one to post
Volley from Chambers blocked by Christiansen off the free kick from Cairney
Sounds like a plan. That's the fourth derby of the weekend, but the first outside London.
Geez... find the man with the cross!
Come on Fulham... the final ball is always off
Cairney has a go. Pushed aside by Kepa. Good period for Fulham. I'd love to see Desmond make an appearance.
The Kepa does well to push away a long range effort from Cairney then the Cottagers win a corner.
Willian blocks for a Cottagers corner.
Mitrovic with a weak header from a cross off the short corner.,
The sulky looking Jorginho replaced by Kovacic.
Naughtiness in the Life of Bryan as he tackles Willian after Scotty blows the whistle. BEAM HIM UP!
Desmond needs to pull his finger out .
Ayite on for Ryan Babbel.
I was youtubing the Leeds West Brom match
there are some great vids from the crowd
one was a Baggie fan....saying it was a zoo... best home fans he's seen all year
Babel had an urgent hair appointment.
Ayite wins a corner off of Azpi. Corner headed away then the Kepa pushes away a shot making sure it's not a happy moment in the life of Bryan
Kepa the Kipper... with a decent save
Fulham deserve something from this match
We are the best in the Championship, for sure.
Rudiger tackles Cairney for a Cottagers corner.
Pedro on for Hazard.
One change remaining for each manager
Definitely a dye job gone wrong for Ryan Babbel.
Agreed, UWS. It was a great atmosphere at ER on Friday.
willian has a shot blocked for a corner on the counter.
Did you listen to that download yet?
Corner from Willian headed away by the first man. Chrsitiansen with a foul on the counter off the corner. Should have been booked.
Which download?
Final roll of the dice from Sarri as Tongue N Cheek is on for Barkley
Ross Barkley trotting off - not really his day. Cheeky Boy off again.
Ten minutes for the home side to get a deserved point... and good for United too
Final roll of the dice from Scotty . Parker that is. Luciano Vietto on for Tom Cairney.
That means no time wasting stoppage time substitutions this match
Agreed. the Cottagers deserve a draw for their efforts.
Chelsea with a Prem match vs Wolves sandwiched in between a pair of EL matches vs Chicken Kiev. Would anyone scarf Chicken Kiev like Wolves?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0IE7JGhb9Y
I could murder a portion of Chicken Kiev right about now.
Take a look
Thanks,Dave. Thought you might say that, Bob.
Wow! Great video!
The Kipper with another save
Oh - bad boy Mitrovic nearly got in there to equalize.
OH!!!! The Chelsea Kepa pushes away a close range header from Mitrovic. Should have made it Desmond.
Hope Desmond isn't using the weather as an excuse for not showing up.
The life of Bryan shows that the life of a Prem defender can be filled with danger.
A quintet of stoppage time minutes that could become a half dozen.
Anguissa fouls Williian , who makes a meal of it to waste time.
DAMN IT!
Ball in the net... offside
Oh - Sessegnon thought he had equalized! But he's flagged offside. What a shame.
So close
GOAL!!! No it's not as Sess has a goal disallowed for offside. Desmond denied an appearance.
Looked like his right boot was offside . A shame!
Last chance saloon for Fulham... free kick... useless ... get it in the box
Free kick now to Chelsea...that should do it
BUGGER
Vietto called for a foul on Rudiger and that may do it.
That's it...what a shame
It's over at the Cottage as Chelsea scrape out a 1-2 victory. Were far from convincing, but an improved Cottagers performance.
Chelsea's game in hand is at home to Brighton
They do however have to go to Old Trafford so fourth is still in United's hands
Chelski hang on all three points.
Let's zoom up to Liverpool and the to north end of Stanley Park
While you're waiting for the next one, have a look at this brilliant YouTube tribute to Gianni Alioski that Doug Fusella sent me: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?shva=1#inbox/WhctKJVJhtHvwCkjGwwnXvKzwFvdTgQVXjrqClgNrWFfZTwFLVfdHtHXDFKdTQvKTKFjmdV?projector=1

200th league Merseyside derby
Brilliant..... going to be stuck in my head all day!
Super Caly Go Ballistic Dundee are atrocious....doesn't exactly work... but they do take the lead at Dundee Und
Teams in the tunnel....cue Z Cars
Absolutely! Love a bit of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."
Teams headed out of the tunnel and on to the Goodison pitch ahead of the Mersey Derby.
Clubs only half a mile apart . Thought it was a full mile. Why I could walk that.
Away we go
They're off from Goodison.
Toffees haven't won a Mersey Derby since 2010! About time to break that streak!
Back with my lunch for the Derby proceedings. Kate is chanting "Down with Jurgen!" because she doesn't want the Shield in the house. (sigh)....
LOL! Sounds like you were given a "PEP" talk!
Theo booked for a foul on Origi.
Theo picks up an early yellow card from Martin Atkinson.
What's on the menu? Any Toffees as an after lunch dessert?
Absolutely, mate. Toffee pudding for afters.
Everton doing well... almost in again
Van Dyke clears for a Toffees corner off nice one touch Toffees passing.
Everton pressing for an early advantage.
Three names wins ONE Liverpool corner.
Great choice of dessert.
Useless corner from Three First Names... modern day crap
The start of this match best described by a Beetles song. Helter Skelter!
Oh - the ball fell to Winaljdum but he couldn't readjust his body to knock it home.
