Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Good afternoon, Bob. Here to join you for the big afternoon after a big morning.
COME ON LEEDS! MOT!
Afternoon, mate - thanks for joining me for what promises to be a titanic struggle.
The team news out of Elland Road this afternoon:
Leeds: Casilla, Ayling, Cooper, Jansson, Alioski, Phillips, Klich, Hernandez, Roberts, Bamford, Harrison.
WBA: Johnstone, Adarabioyo, Hegazi, Dawson, Holgate, Barry, Livermore, Harper, Robson-Kanu, Rodriguez, Gayle.
Kemar Roofe is back in training but alas is not available yet. So, we'll be looking for goals again from Tyler Roberts and Patrick Bamford up front. Pablo will be pulling the strings in midfield with Alioski again deputizing as left back.
Wahay! The coverage is starting up!
Here are the stakes tonight. The Whites could go top on 67 points with a win tonight, while the Baggies could come within a point of us with a win. That would be catastrophic for our promotion hopes. Come on, you Whites!
Teams starting to arrive in the tunnel to the strains of the Kaiser Chiefs' "I Predict a Riot."
Lots of danger men for the Baggies, including top scorer Jay Rodriguez, Robson-Kanu, Dwight Gayle and Jake Livermore.
West Brom about to get us underway then, wearing their traditional change strip of yellow and green stripes. We're in our usual classic all-white
Oh what a goal!!!!!!!
Pablo, you beauty!
Congratulations. Leeds one up early doors.
Pablo's eighth goal of the season, and it couldn't have come at a better time.
Oh dear - Liam Cooper trips up Rodriguez setting up a dangerous free kick.
Fortunately, it hits the wall and goes out for a corner. What a start to this match!
Liam Mini Cooper with a fender bender as the Baggies have a free kick ion a promising posiution.

Great to see us back on top where we belong.
Crystal will be singing "Don't it Make My Brown Eyes Blue" after that free kick effort.
MOT!
We've won all 15 occasions that we've scored first.
Marcelo on his blue bucket, as usual.
I like how we're chasing down every ball here. We look really up for this one.
Just saw the replay of the goal. Nice finish
LOL! Perfect lyrics to describe the occasion.
Tyler Roberts with a sharp half chance. Saved.
Thanks, mate!
Nice break there through Harrison but he couldn't find anyone in the middle. So far it's all us going forward.
I'm loving this first quarter of an hour. Keep it going, lads!
I didn't like that risky backpass from Pablo. Keep it tight, lads.
Ali penalized for what looked like a 50/50 challenge. They can swing one in now.
Gareth Barry's free kick is brilliantly handled by Kiko!
Great pressure from our boys - keep it up!
Nice touches from Patrick. His hold up play is superb.
So far Baggies boss Darren getting No Moore points today, looking none too pleased.
Oh - Kal has a go from distance and the keeper found it too hot to handle.
Kal Phillips with a nice tackle in midfield , then a long range effort spilled by Sam Johnstone, then gathered,
Excellent sweeping up by Kiko and then Klich fouls. They'll knock another long one in.
The Baggies with a free kick in midfield because a Baggies player was Kliched. Long free kick from Gareth Barry gathered by Casilla.
Half way through this first half - I'm fairly pleased with proceedings so far.
So far, Leeds with a solid performance in this promotion six pointer.
Tyler Roberts called for a soft foul on Craig Dawson, who acted more like Les , when challenged.
Barry can keep taking those free kicks like that all evening.
What was Les Dawson's catch phrase? I can't remember.
YESSSSS!!!!!
A superb team goal finished off by Patrick!
2-0!
WAY HAY ! PATRICK BAMFORD PUTS LEEDS TWO UP AS ALI PASSED TO KLICH, WHO PUT BAMFORD THROUGH AND SCORED WITH A GREAT FINISH PAST SAM JOHNSTONE

Pablo with another shot from distance. This time is well over the top. Maybe deflected?
Long range effort from Pablo Hernandez lands in Row E for Effort
We're temporarily down to ten men now.
Jack Harrison down to ten men for the time being as Jack Harrison is being treated for a bloody nose,.
I like to see our goal difference growing again. Now at +19.
Harrison back on , but without a number
AN increased goal difference would be the icing on the cake.
I'd have that half-time whistle about now.
It could make the difference between, say, first and second or second and third. It's very tight up there.
Bamford with a long range effort a few feet over
We're really snapping into the tackles tonight. Luv it!
Darren Moore trying to listen to Bielsa'a tactics. He needs to know Moore Spanish to accomplish that
Agreed. A superior goal difference would be like using a Blade to cut through a Canary like a knife through butter.
Bamford hesitated too long and Mason Holgate was there to tackle him and clear.
Into the two minutes of stoppage time.
This LOB blogging duo of stoppage time minutes
Ali wins a late corner for us. Luv to see this go in.

That would be lovely
Bamford holds up a player and WBA have a free kick.

Hal Robson-Kanu over with a close range header off the free kick from Barry off a rare misjudgement from Casilla
Gareth Barry gets the first caution of the night, upending Tyler.

No surprises that he was the first booking of the match
Pablo trips up Robson-Kanu and now the Baggies have another decent free kick chance. Don't like it.
Pablo Hernandez called for a trip on Rakeem Harper just outside the Leeds box.
Gayle straight into the wall and then Kiko collects. Phew!

Good clearance from Kal there from a threatening cross.
Long cross from Hal Robson-Kanu headed out by Kal Phillips for a Baggies corner
Vicious stuff from Barry again - should have gone off.

Crystal Gayle wrestled down by Klich near the halfway line
The hour mark arrives so changes are imminent.
Cometh the hour cometh the changes and Gareth Barry, who is on thin ice may be the first one to be replaced.

Wonder who Bob will be rooting for in the Plastic Ware Derby on Monday. probably a Not So Big Club
We want four! We want four!
Leeds crisp with the tackles.
Patrick is on a hat-trick now - he's on six for the season.
Hope Leeds get some Moore goals. Darren , not so much!
Definitely have to plump for Not a Big Club in the derby at their death trap stadium.
Steady. A fourth would be confirming that Biela's been peeking over a bush at the Baggies practice.
Jefferson Montero on for Hal Robson- Kanu on the final roll of the dice for Darren Moore. No Moore changes, Darren!
Free kick chance now out wide left.
LOL! Nice one, Gooner! Welcome!

Great tracking back by Dallas.
Holgate with a challenge on Dallas that's no more honest than Watergate!
Two Baggies players injure themselves there.
Two Baggies players collide. Sam Field back up , but Mason Holgate still down on the Field.
ER sure hasn't been the Field of Dreams for Sam Field and his Baggies teammates.
Five minutes left for us to add to our tally.
Long range effort from Klich curled straight to Sam Johnstone.
Is that kid that's coming on a Jim will fix it winner. He can't be older than 12!

It's over as Leeds thrash the Baggies 4-0. '
CONGRATULATIONS, BOB!
Wahey! Very helpful for the goal difference. Congrats!
Well, that couldn't have gone any better. We've certainly laid down a marker there with a 4-0 win over one of our main promotion rivals. We're back on top now, and the others will have to chase us. Norwich play at Millwall tomorrow and are a point behind us and the Blades have the Steel City Derby on Monday and are three points behind us.
67 points from 35 matches now. +21 GD. 11 matches to play.
