A Rubbishy Saturday
Let's be honest - today's offerings aren't the best, as the Premier League gods have saved all of the best matches for Sunday. So, what are we left with. The action starts with Leicester v. Palace at 7:30. That's followed by a couple of drab matches at 10am and then Spurs v. Everton. Maybe it's the Covid that's got me down but that's mighty slim pickings.
I may be a bit in and out but I'll look forward to your chat.

Good Morning everyone. I'll only be around for the first match. I agree with Bob's post even though I think there may be goals in the late match.
Foxes vs Palace is 0-0. When the Foxes broke the announcer said that Saka didn't have much support. That may be true after the mid term elections
In the FA CUP Chesterfield one up at the Anstey Nomads. That could be a rout. Foirst nomadic team to play in the FA Cup?
Luton one up vs QPR in the Championship. Hatters sixth for the time being. QPR could go top today if they come back
Rotherham vs Terriers is 1-1. Terriers may finish out of the droo zone with a win today
In a repeat of a controversial Fifth Round FA Cup replay in 1978, Blyth Spartans host Wrexham. I think that replay was at SJP while this match is at nearby Blyth. It's 0-0 early on
It's 0-0 at the half at the KP. The Foxes have been the slightly better team and they're off the foot of the table ahead of Forest on goal difference ahead of the 10 AM televised match. Palace behind the two Mersey teams on goal difference and ahead of the Hammers in the same category
Off to take Trooper walkies on a sunny, but nippy morning,
Back from walkies and still 0-0 in the second half.
Chesterfield two up at Ansty Nomads. Blyth Sprtans vs Ryan Reynolds's lads is 0-0 early in then second half.
Morning, David. Just settling in after a late morning routine with the twins. They're feeling better so they kept us up a bit last night.
This one's nothing to write home about - just as I suspected.
Luton s QPR is still 1-0 . Rotherham now leads the Terriers 2-1. Terriers remain second from bottom, a pair of points from safety
Good morning, Bob. Sorry to hear about that. How are you and Kate doing?
Guaita saves a header from Timmy Castegne. It was a comfortable save.
Chesterfield smoking their ay through as they go three up at Anstey Nomads
Leeds plays at the KP on Thursday. Bob must feel confident about getting a result in that match
Luton goes two up vs QPR. So much for QPR going top.
Thanks for the well wishes, David - we're on the mend after a few challenging days. I'm hoping to be able to test negative this weekend and be back to work on Monday.
The Fourth President booked for diving in an attempt to win late penalty. That's an impeccable offense. He will be suspended for the match vs Leeds on Thursday.
It finishes 0-0. The Foxes off the foot of the table ahead of the 10 am televised match.
You're welcome. Hope you're able to go back to work on Monday.
That's it for me. We're off to the Pumpkin Chunkin' Festival. Will be around tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of the day.
CHEERS!
That's that - it finishes 0-0 at Filbert Street. Robbie Earle describes it accurately as "crap." A really damp squib to begin the Philly Fan Fest this morning. The Premier League suits not really giving NBC Sports a break here.
Enjoy the festing today, David!
Next up - Wolves v. Forest - more bottom of the table dross.
Two Leeds fans at the Philly Fan Fest. Leeds are all over the world!
Morning Boys
Sorry I was late but as you said....rubbish game
Only two matches at 10pm
Rubbish!
Fulham also kicking off against Bournemouth on Peacock. Kate, the Cottagers leading scorer, is sadly sidelined by Covid.
A slate of midweek games this week
James Maddison took a dive to try and win a penalty in the last action of the morning match...he got a yellow...and banned for the visit of Leeds on Thursday!!
Morning, Dave - it really is a sad day of footer - you would have thought that the schedulers would have at least put Citeh v. Liverpool on for the punters.
Cherries have taken an early lead at Bob and Kate's place
Are the midweek matches to make up for the weekend that we lost to the Queen's death?
Morning Bob
The Philly Fanfest was probably a library !
Both of us in the sick bay today, sadly - the Cherries could take full advantage.
No, they are scheduled for WC make up
United host Spurs
United missed a trip to Palace for the Queen
Actually, it looked really lively, despite the raw weather and rubbish match. Even Robbie Earle said on air that it was "a load of crap." I wonder if he'll get into trouble with NBC for that. Becky Lowe looked really nervous.
How are all four of you feeling?
I did hear Robbie E say that....Becky refused to eat a Philly cheese steak
Robert Plant in the stands watching his beloved Wanderers
Wednesday take the lead at the Abbey Stadium
Wednesday's city rivals also take the lead
We're on the mend. The twins are out of danger. We suspect that they got it first when we took them down to the local hospital to get hip x-rays. No one in the place was masked and they were all up close to them! They developed fevers on Sunday night. Then Kate started to feel bad on Monday and I did Tuesday night.
Leaders Plymouth take the lead
Plymouth and Wed need to stop being on such a roll! I want Town and Pompey to go up
Good to hear you're on the mend.
I'm not sure that Diego Costa is going to do anything but pick up a paycheck for Wolves - he's well past it.
I'm hoping to test negative this weekend and to be back in the classroom on Monday.
Today would have been Tony's 69tn birthday.
Had a lovely message from your brother this morning
Very kind of him
Fingers crossed for you
Fulham ties it up
Diop or one of the twins that tapped it in
That is nice - happy birthday, Tony. Chelskilad is sorely missed around these parts.
Thanks mate
Forest want a handball
VAR checking
Did hit the arm but by his side....who knows what the rules are these days
No Pen
Steve Bruce-less Baggies take the lead at high flying Reading
Ipswich losing at home to Lincoln!
Cherries re-take the lead...this was Kate's goal
That was a good call for me - not intentional.
NBC chose the wrong game....again
Agreed....but who knows what the rule is anymore
Intention doesn't seem to matter any more!
Most handballs are unintentional....or the player is a moron
Im off to the loo.... goal coming then!
Oh - what a sitter missed by Costa! He was offside anyway, so it wouldn't have mattered but....
Oh - off the post now! Wolves deserve to be one up.
The Nocito Curse Hasn't come into effect yet.
YOu would think that NBC would have a shuftie at the fixtures when scheduling the fanfests. Very weak gruel here. At least two toothless drop candidates on their coverage today. Robbie spoke the truth.
We've reached half time and the Philly Fan Fest has now seen a match and a half without the net bulging.
Morning, Steve - weak gruel indeed. I"m off to whip out the smelling salts in the shower.
Dirty Diego runs into Henderson deliberately late. I hope Dean's tetanus jabs are up to date.
Peep. Peep. And that's another half of crap to go along with the first two today. I'm going to the library to experience something more entertaining.
That's it for me boys
Have to go do some unknown errands
Enjoy the rest of your day
Cheerio, Dave - I'm back to feed the twins and follow the last twenty minutes of this one and then I'll likely call it a day.
