Saturday's Alright!
Morning, chaps - it's another big weekend in the Premier League. It all starts with a bang this morning with Liverpool v. Chelsea. In years past, this was a top four affair; this season, it's ninth vs. tenth. Wow! One of these teams has the chance with a win to kickstart their season; a draw really does nothing for either. In the traditional 10am slot, there are several matches involving teams at the bottom. I'll be particularly interested in West Ham v. Everton. Of course, I'll want a draw in that one. Then finally the late one between Palace and Newcastle is a test of the Champions League pretensions of Eddie Howe's side.
I'll look forward to chatting with you today.

The NBC Sports crew is live in Orlando this morning for the usual fanzone action.
Neither team are yet in pipe-dream territory regarding a top-four finish. But they’ll be cutting it fine if they don’t get a wriggle on soon, and with little margin left for error, three points today are something close to a necessity. Chelsea are without the suspended Joao Felix but could hand a debut to Mykhailo Mudryk, while Liverpool may welcome back Darwin Nunez from injury. All told, then, this has the potential to be a cracker.
Shocking that this one is on Peacock.
The team news for this one:
Liverpool: Alisson, Milner, Konate, Gomez, Robertson, Bajcetic, Thiago, Keita, Elliott, Salah, Gakpo.
Subs: Kelleher, Fabinho, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Tsimikas, Nunez, Matip, Alexander-Arnold.
Chelsea: Kepa, Chalobah, Silva, Badiashile, Hall, Jorginho, Gallagher, Cucurella, Ziyech, Havertz, Mount.
Subs: Bettinelli, Azpilicueta, Humphreys, Koulibaly, Chukwuemeka, Loftus-Cheek, Mudryk, Aubameyang, D Fofana.
Good Morning, Bob. Just woke up. Thanks for getting us started,
Morning, David - just getting back to the match for a moment during our morning routine with the twins. 0-0 in the second half now.
The new boy Mudryk finally being deployed by Graham Potter now.
Good Morning, mate . How are the twins? Keeping you busier than these two mediocre teams?
I have a nickname for the Chelsea new boy How is Moody Rick?
Canaries were three up at Coventry, but now 2-3. All the goals were scored in the first half.
According to Charles Darwin, Nunez on for Keita due to Survival of the Fittest
Canaries now lead 2-4 at Coventry and are up to fifth place, but that will surely change after the 10 AM matches.
Keeping us very busy, mate. How are things your way?
I'm not surprised by this scoreline. These two sides have spent megabucks but they don't seem to be able to break down opponents.
We're doing well, thank you for asking.
You should be surprised. The announcer said that this would be the first 0-0 scoreline between these two in the Premier League era. That's a long time.
Lots of postponed matches in Blighty from L1 down the pyramid due to various weather conditions.
The two subs nearly combined there.
I wonder what's going on weather-wise.
I tried to check and I read rain, snow, and frozen pitches. I guess which one depends upon how each part of England is affected.
In the Scots Cup only three matches have been postponed. I thought the weather would be worse north of the border.
You will be really shocked to read that Celtic have thrashed Morton 5-0 in the Scots Cup. A giant killing?
A quintet of stoppage time minutes to be put out of our misery.
I'll take some more goalless action in some of these upcoming matches.
The only postponed match in the Championship is a relegation six pointer between the Tangerines and Terriers. Mick has just been appointed the new manager of the Tangerines.
I would brew a strong pot of hot coffee then, LOL!
The Canaries have won 2-4 at Coventry
This one has been put out of it's misery as the teams draw 0-0 for the first time in the Premier League era.
Time to take Trooper walkies . Didn't miss a goal during my trip to the bog and don't expect to miss any during his trip either.
A draw does those sides no good at all.
Enjoy your walkies!
Thanks, mate. Back off a seasonably chilly morning walk. Unlike those two sides Trooper did the business and Bob would love a photo.
They're off from the London Stadium. Will both of these managers be around for the next match?
That's a good question, mate. As with the first match, a draw is best for me but not at all for these teams.
Well done to Trooper, getting the biz done. The twins are taking care of their biz as well - I've had multiple diaper changes already.
Goalless after 15 minutes, just as the doc ordered. It's cereal time for the M&Ms.
LOL, mate! Are the twins telling you what they think of the matches? They have insight far more advanced than their biological age.

Rotherham takes a surprise lead at the third placed Hornets
Barnsley now three up vs Accrington Stanley. Bob will want the same for Leeds if they face them next week.
First goals of the day in the Prem. Both from South Coast clubs . Mitoma gives the Seagulls the lead at the KP as the Seagulls are now with ahead of the Spuds on goal difference.

GOAL! JARRED BOWEN GIVES THE HAMMERS THE LEAD, A HAMMER BLOW TO BOB.
VAR checking for offside. It stands which will not please Bob
It came off a short corner from Bowen ,. He got the ball back then past to Soufoul whose poor cross was headed out then a cross from the left from Emmerson was Headed on by Zouma and smashed in by Bowen
Marc Albrighton ties it up for the Foxes vs the Seagulls
The Hammers are now out of the drop zone up to sixteenth place and replaced by Wolves who face a daunting task at the Etihad tomorrow. Leeds fourth from bottom , ahead of Wolves on goal difference
Oxford United took the lead vs the Tractor Boys, but now tied up.
The Shrews take the lead vs Cambridge , who are now in the last drop spot behind Morecambe and Wise on goal difference.
The Gils , bottom of the Football League, take the lead at Colchester
GOAL ! JARRED BOWEN AT THE DOUBLE AS HE PUTS THE HAMMERS TWO UP
Bugger! A brace from Jared Bowen and the Hammers are cruising it.
Sorry, Bob. A really simple Hammers goal. Iwobi easily dispossessed deep in the Hammers half and they broke through Bowen , who played Antonio wide down the right. He went easily past Dark and he passed for an easy tap in at the far post for Bowen
Hammers two up at the half. Sorry, mate
Half time - scores not really going our way. Bournemouth are 1-0 up, Hammers 2-0 up, Brighton and Leicester drawing. Only the Soton v. Villa match is going our way.
Jarred Bowen with a double to celebrate twins on the way. I'm sure you will have a congratulatory massage for him
The table makes for some scary reading now. Leeds down to 17th, level on points with Wolves in the drop zone.
Sorry, mate. Some encouragement is that Wolves is at the Etihad tomorrow. I don't see them getting anything out of that match. Leeds has a chances vs the Bees.
Oh - DCL should have scored. He looks a shadow of the player he used to be.
Yeah - I don't see them getting anything either. But their new manager has had an effect.
Lights out for Lamps, are do you think that bulb is still flickering ever so slightly?
Still plenty of time for Forest to equalize. Sorry to say I don't see the Toffees coming back. Surely Lamps is being readied to walk the plank.
DCL not the same player since coming back from injury. Will he ever be?
Blackburn takes the lead at Ashton Gate. Hornets equalize vs Rotherham. Blackburn replace the Hornets in third place
Shrews now three up vs Cambridge , who are now third from bottom, but a point t from safety
Pompey takes the lead vs Exeter
Harvey Barnes gives the Foxes a come from behind 2-1 lead vs then Seagulls
OH! Pickford tips a piledriver from emerson on to the bar . Nearly 3-0
A Brighton goal would really help, as Leicester would drop below us again.
JWP gives the Saints the lead vs Villa. Sorry, just not your day, mate
BLOOIDY HELL! Leeds in the drop zone as the Saints move out. I know some people would disagree with me at this stage of the season, but I think a must win for Leeds tomorrow.
That puts the Toffees rock bottom. Surely Lamps is out. Again, people may disagree, but surely it's time for a change. Also in the boardroom.
PHEW! The goal by JWP was disallowed for offside, but Toffees still bottom and Leeds back out of the drop zone. A mighty relieved Bob
Sam Surridge ties it upon for Forest at Dean Court. Cherries now in the drop zone , replacing Wolves , who are ahead of them on goal difference.
Seagulls tie it up at the KP. Now Desmond
You will be pleased that Olly Watkins has given Villa the lead at St. Mary's. Saints back on bottom , behind the Toffees on goal difference
Are you still on? Haven't heard from you in ages.
The last few minutes help a bit.
I'm in and out dealing with the twins. Sorry.
No probs, mate. you must feel like Lights out Lamps today, LOL.
Phew! Brighton have leveled it - a Leicester win really would have been bad for us.
I think the results at Dean Court and St. Mary's are more important. It's a good equalizer at the KP and helps, but not as crucial as the South Coast results.
I'm assuming that this is curtains for Fwank. I hear that Jeese Marsch is also close to the sack. They've been interviewing possible successors - Potch seems high on the list. Even Sean Dyche.
Hammers win 2-0 thanks to the double from Bowen expecting twins. Any advice for him or none ?
Pitch would be an excellent replacement Goodison Park, but I don't see him taking the job. I think the Toffees have fallen so far that they may have to settle for the likes of Sean Dyche
Matches wrapping up - some reasonable scorelines in the end but the Hammers win really hurts us. We're now two points off the bottom!
I'll likely be in and out some more during the late one.
That is unless you were talking about ER. Jesse is always close to the sack, but not as close as frank. Stick a skewer in him and he's done. Jesse still medium rare. do you concur with that evaluation?
Have fun, mate. I'll be rooting for Becky's eagles.
I'm back from a refreshing shower to follow the late one. Nothing of import for me in this one, but you and Dave will want Palace to stop Newcastle's run.
A Palace win would really help, but I will take a draw from this .
Looks like you're going to get that draw, mate, which will put the Toon temporarily in third level on points with United.
