Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Bates to Nobble Chelski!

Good old Ken Bates may have redeemed himself in my eyes with news this morning that he's planning to bite the hand that once fed him by giving testimony against Chelski in a "tapping up" investigation. Let's hope it leads to a Juve-style punishment. Wouldn't we all love to see Jose and co. in the Coke next season?

Yeah, I love this development. Just keep the pressure on these blue gangsters.

We're doing our bit by nailing Cashley to the cross. We may well name him to the CL side against Zagreb and then for sure it won't be Chelsea that comes out for him. Or Madrid.

Success for Bates this time is too much to hope for but just keep piling it on and make it uncomfortable for Roman and Maureeno.

Nice one Ken!

Yeah, I love how you're holding Cashley ransom with the CL tie coming up Wednesday. I don't know why Jose doesn't pony up the 25 mill for the guy. Of course, the Arse are having a laugh with that price, but what does Roman care about money. Still, I reckon they'll give him a pass if he's cup-tied for the CL. Same thing goes for Reyes vis a vis Real. If they play on Wednesday, they'll be staying. Good news for you lot.

Are you gonna get to see any of the Amsterdam tournament? Nothing on FSC.

I say name Cashley to the starting 11 against Zagreb and then sub him off after the kick off.

Then limit the rest of his appearances for us to the Carling Cup feeding the likes of Bendter, Traore, and Lupoli and the rest of the under 18s so that the message is clear to him--crime does not pay!

Reyes, sell him. If we could get 12-15mil for him, sell him. He's not happy, he only excels when Henry is pushed in centrally, and can't handle the physicality of the Prem. Sell him.

I like it! Love to see that treatment for Cashley. I really don't understand the whole business anyway. Chelski have Wayne Bridge, who - when fit - is easily the player that Cashley is, so why bother. And they've got tons of cover in that position - Carvalho, Gallas, Ferreira, you name it.

Who exactly is this fit Wayne Bridge bloke of whom you speak? Therein lies the rub.

As for Chelski's motives towards Cashley, their only motive at this point can be spoiling any attempt to give them a run in the Prem. They buy players that they don't intend to use -- SWP and maybe Cashley so we can't have them, Maniche, Bollox, and that Obi kid so that Yernited can't have them. I didn't pay enough attention to see who they've robbed off the toe of Liverpool, but you get the picture. Clearly that's what they're doing. And right now, the kind of player that's going is either content to cash in and sit the bench, too countless to name, or made an example of if they have the temerity to complain about their lack of appearances, Drogba, Gallas, Carvallo, etc.

Chelsea are THE pernicious force that we thought Yernited were. They were nothing like as preditory.
