Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Lamps Defends Himself

From today's Football365.com:

"Frank Lampard has hit back at continuing criticism of his England performances and insisted: 'Stop just judging me on how many goals I score.'"

Alright, Frankie, how's about we judge you on your crap passing, coughing up possession in midfield and hoofing the ball into Row Z then?

Honestly, with Lamps in such bad form, I'd prefer that Macca drop him, stick Stevie G. into his central spot and play the two wide men against Macedonia next month.

What do you think?

He's just mining a vein of very poor form. McClaren and Maureenyo could do him a favor by resting him for a few matches, keeping him in the squad, so that he could start afresh for Chelsea. Once he returns and starts doing well in the league for the Chelseosi, he could then be given a bigger England role. That's what I'd do anyway.

Lamps misses a penalty again today and even Mourinho had some sharp comments about him after the match. Honestly, this kid has to get his head straight soon or he's liable to piss his career away but quick.

Time to move on probably. Too bad he flagged just as it was rumored that Barca would pick him up.
