Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Last Minute Christmas Idea

Alright lads, in case you're in need of a last minute gift idea for Christmas, here you go. Definitely the funniest bit that's been on SNL in yonks. Enjoy!

(P.S. - it's the uncensored version, so be careful round the kiddies)

Every word but dick I think.

Best thing on SNL since Chronic-cals Of Narnia. Actually, better than that.

Yeah, the chorus was edited to go - "It's my bleep in a box." A bit silly since Jon Stewart uses the word "dick" all the time on "The Daily Show." I would've gone with "Cock in a Box," to be honest - a bit funnier sounding IMHO. But beyond that it's perfect, right down to the early 90s boy band clothes, facial hair and lame dancing.

My favorite bit -

1) Cut a hole in a box
2) Put your junk in that box
3) Let her open the box

Very, very funny stuff. I don't know why that can't sustain that level of writing every week.

Nope, best bit is

Christmas,... Dick in a box,
Hannukah,... Dick in a box,
Kwanza,... Dick in a box...

Timberlake is funny when he's on SNL.

I thought the first three sketches, it was all Jason.

I agree. Whenever he's been on the live performances have been so electric that - despite my better judgments I've had a listen to his music online. Overproduced crap IMHO - not a patch on what he does on SNL.

It's interesting that there are maybe three or four people who seem to just have a certain chemistry with the SNL set-up - Tom Hanks and Alec Baldwin spring to mind readily - whereas those you'd think would be made for the show such as Jack Black just don't get it done.

Yeah, I really don't have any time for his music. The bits I've listened to on iTunes leave me wondering what all the fuss is about. The hype around his cd makes me wonder if his publicist is really busy on his behalf because I just can't hear anything special.

In fact, I thought his musical performance on the show sucked the life out of what was a pretty lively affair up to that point.
