Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

On another subject, what is with all the internationals being played in England.

Tuesday Night
Australia 1 vs Denmark 3 at QPR
Ghana 4 vs Nigeria 1 at Brentford
Brazil 0 vs Portugal 2 at Arsenal
Greece 0 vs South Korea 1 at Fulham
Of course Wednesday
England vs Spain

Does the entire international stage revolve around England?

Yeah, I wondered about that. Apparently FIFA encouraged it because of the number of international players playing in England these days. What a change from the 70s when you just had British players like Frannie Lee who laid a lovely ball off to Denis Law who cheekily backheeled the ball in the ManYoo net to banish the Red Devils from the First Division!

Shut it.

Your comments on the team for today?

Oh, today? I thought you were asking about that brilliant Man. City team from 1974 that demolished your lot......

Never mind. I'm with you. I don't what Macca is thinking here with putting Crouchie up front alone and no Roon. All in all it looks a tired outfit, with the Nevillers in the back, Michael Carrick in the holding position and Gerrard and Lamps again bottling up the midfield. Is he playing for a draw in a friendly?
