Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Guess Who's Coming to Denver?

Here's a special Saturday night brain tickler. Which Premiership side has recently inked a new special relationship with the Colorado Rapids? Apparently the term that sealed the deal is that the "Crapids" will change their name to "(Premiership side name) Colorado."

Any guesses?

Congratulations, you have finally stumped me.
Of course, it s not a true English Trivia question.

The answer to my trivia question from yesterday.

The question was
What player has played in all five tiers of English football(non League included) and won a Champions League medal?

Answer:
Steve Finnan

I won't be around for United's victory over Spurs.
I am going to a fellow United fan's house to watch the match.
COME ON YOU DEVILS!!!

Steve Finnan, eh? I would've never got that one.

So, no guess on the Crapids question. Come on, Davey. That's not like you. Alright, I'll put in a guess for you:

Wigan Colorado - incorrect, sir. Sorry.

Colorado Academicals? Colorado Athletic?

Sorry, mate. It's a Premiership side - and not Charlton - and the new name of the Crapids will be a combination of the Premiership side's name and "Colorado," as in "Charlton Colorado."

fI have just got home from my friend's house.
Pretty dubious penalty but we had a cert before that.

Great second half display.

I am a happy chappy.

Yeah, good display from Man U. Commanding and never in doubt.

But part of the paid admission to a United game should be an opportunity to punch Skippy in the mouth for being such a diving twat. As good as he is, he simply must give that up. Such a shame.

Evra's looking quite good too and is justifiably keeping Gabby on the bench.

Sorry, Sir Trev - not "Reading Colorado." Next guess?

One comment on the ManYoo-Spurs: (To the tune of Big Ben)

"Same old Skippy/Always cheating."

I have not thought of this question much but my guess would be Fulham. They have a lot of Yanks on the team. McBride was on the Rapids, wasn't he?

On 606, that I just finished listening to, I was surprised that no one was slagging off Ronaldo.

Sorry, no - not "Fulham Colorado."

Btw, McBride played for the Columbus Crew.

Typical ManYoo sentiment - doesn't matter how we win as long as we win. Shocking. I ask you!

Btw, it's not "Manchester United Colorado" either, you'll be happy to know.

We hammered Spurs with a great, powerful second half display.

Okay, you lot are hopeless. Here's the answer. The Colorado Rapids will henceforth be known as:

Arsenal Colorado!

God help me if they run out in an Arsenal kit. That would present me with a big problem.
