...And the Bottom!
And now that the big boys have had their say, it's time to get down to the real business - the relegation battle. My eyes mainly be on Elland Road, where the Whites must beat Ipswich to have any hope of staying up. We also need some help with Hull. It's all on the line. It's not an understatement to say that this match is one of the most important in the club's history.
Come on you Whites!

And here are the boys who will get the job done today:
40. Casper Ankergren
15. Frazer Richardson
20. Hayden Foxe
24. Manuel Rui Marques
10. Michael Gray
28. Robert Blake
5. Radostin Kishishev
6. Alan Thompson
11. Eddie Lewis
9. David Healy
25. Richard Cresswell
And off we go!
Come on you Whites!
Come on you Hammers!
And we need some help from Cardiff, who've been in rotten form recently and are now all but out of the promotion race.
There are two relegation dogfights as well in the Premiership:
Wigan vs. West Ham
Sheffield Utd vs. Watford.
I am here. I just got back from my Setanta owning friend.
What a morning.
I actually called it from 2-0 down.
I read your comments. Were you able to watch the Chelski game? It seemed it.
COME ON LEEDS
LEEDS HAVE SCORED
Spurs score against Boro.
I hate Boro. They played a blinder last week!!!!
YESSSSSSSS! Morning, Dave! You must be a happy chappy - where were you?
I was a friends house that has Setanta. He is from Newcastle.
Such a happy chappy.
Good job from your lot so far.
Long may it continue.
Were you able to watch Chelski?
Yeah, check the thread below for my full commentary. Incredible comeback by your lot. You know that you've done well when someone called Eagles scores your fourth!
I didn't know that the Chels game was on FSC.
I did read most of it when I got home.
Southend 0 Luton 1
Yeah, I was surprised too. I noticed it on the listing yesterday. They had a full half-hour "Super Saturday" lead in and then the full match. Good stuff. But I'm sure you enjoyed watching your lot. You must have been worried at 2-0, eh?
Great score! Let's have some more good news from Cardiff.
Btw, that Richard Cresswell goal lifts us over Hull and out of the drop zone.
I knew it wasn't been shown at Noon but I didn't know it was on.
The way everything ended up, I am glad I didn't know.
Citeh 0 Villa 1
The UEFA Cup slots are pretty much fixed, eh? Should be Bolton, Spurs and Everton, right?
I knew that Leeds were out of the zone but Shut it!!! It's still too early
So, you like that picture I sent you guys yesterday.
Pompey have scored against Liverpool.
Did you see the plans for Pompey's new stadium?
The Hammers have scored!!!!
Norwich are losing to Sotton
Yes, well done Hammers! They need some help from Watford, though.
If I think that Leeds have sunk low, what about Bradford City? They're two nil down and could be relegated to the bloody fourth division today!
With West Ham winning, they will be equal on points to safety.
United may not need the last game of the season and rest their big uns for hopefully a COUPLE of Finals.
Pompey have gone two up.
Can you say UEFA CUP!!!!
I don't think so.
Why not?
So far, Cambridge are avoiding the drop into oblivion
Coventry 0 WBA 1
Stoke 0 Colchester 1
They could make the play offs
I reckon that Pompey have a tougher run in than Spurs do.
Ipswich are getting some chances.
Southend are two nil down
They could go ahead of Everton.
The Shrimpers are going down, the Shrimpers going down, eeayadio, the Shrimpers are going down, down, down!
Sheff Utd 1 Watford 0
Not good. They may be safe
Fulham are in major trouble.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Boro left.
Coventry down to ten men
Not good. Watford need to score at least one. Fulham are in pretty deep but still, West Ham would need a couple of wins to get near them.
As of right now, Fulham are ONE point away from Fulham. Goal Difference makes it two. West Ham win this and next week and Fulham lose all of theirs, WH are a head of the Cottagers
From 365: "As the half-time whistles are blown around the country, let's recap on the crucial goals. In the Premiership West Ham are leading at Wigan, while Sheffield United are also in front against Watford. In the Championship, Leeds are ahead against Ipswich, while Hull are 0-0 at Cardiff and Southend are losing 2-0. Ten-man Blackpool are 2-1 up against leaders Scunthorpe in League One, while Rochdale lead League Two leaders Hartlepool 1-0 at Spotland."
Citeh have missed a pen.
Barton does a Johnny Wilkinson.
Hopefully same again next week.
From The Beeb
Howls of derision all round and City still haven't scored at home in the league since New Year's Day.
Again, let's hope they don't start next week.
The Title could be over next week.
If we can win at Citeh and Arsenal get anything off of Chelski it would be over
I reckon that it will be. This was the crucial weekend. Now can you keep it going on Tuesday?
Carvalho is out of this week's game according to 'The Special One"
Great goal by Berbatov.
I want him on United
UH OH
Hull have scored at Cardiff
It could easily unravel for Chelski this week - they could be out of two competitions. Would a Cup double be enough to keep Jose around? I doubt it - I think he's off in the summer.
OH NO! This can not stand!
Boro are pathetic.
How could they play so well last week?
Bloody Dean Windass! He should be helping out Bradford City.
Stoke have tied it up with Colchester.
I cannot believe that Cardiff are going to let bloody Hull win at their patch - just disgraceful!
WEST HAM ARE TWO UP!!!!
Where are you Sir Trev?
Well done, the Hammers. But will it be enough?
Wolves 1 QPR 0
Birmingham are stil 0-0 with Wed. and are now down to ten.
Stoke are now leading Colchester.
It was all looking so good for United a couple minutes ago
Cambridge have scored.
They look safe now
Liverpool have a goal back at Fratton
Blackburn 1 Charlton 0
Everthing is going the Hammers way except for the Blades
Can you believe that the World Cup Final is being delayed by rain.
They should just play it tomorrow and not use the D/L Method
You know, with Barnsley losing to Leicester, there could be another escape hatch. They've got WBA away next weekend - an almost certain loss. A win for us would make us safe.
Boro have scored
Stoke score again.
Charlton are down to ten.
Thatcher is off for two yellows
Doesn't really matter - the Aussies are a shoe-in for the title.
The Shrimpers are trying in vain to beat the drop, but they're going down, down, down!
What a save by Robinson
You have a better goal difference than Barnsley...stunningly
Yes, we do!
Leeds lead is hanging by a thread.
Ten man Charlton have scored.
D. Bent.
"A balls up from the Rovers defense"
Yeah, that's what 365 is saying. About ten minutes to hang in there.
A Birmingham goal
Come on you Whites!
Plymouth score a pen against Preston
Come on you BLUES!!!(Cardiff)
Citeh are two down Villa
They better not turn it on next week!!!
Blackburn have scored again!!
Millwall have scored against Bristol City. That could open up the door for Forest
West Ham have scored again.
They are playing like they are going for Europe.
Another goal for Rovers and Spurs
Great goal for Spurs there. Nice team play.
4-1 to Rovers.
Charlton are sinking
Brucey's boys are two up.
Two United old boys for promotion?
About five minutes left - hang in there boys!
Could be.
OH NO!!!
Ipswich have scored!!!
88 minutes
How many times this season have we given away late goals - disaster!
They would be down!!
Six minutes of stoppage time at Elland Road
Yes, I think so. The goal difference would be just about impossible to make up against Hull.
We need a goal and now. Club history riding on it. Come on!
It is NINE goals.
It is over unless they get a goal
Cardiff 0 Hull 1
Final Score
THEY NEED A GOAL
Time to put the goalkeeper up in attack.
Wisey needs to go.
That would be a silver lining. I can't stand him
Ipswich almost just scored again.
Two minutes of added time left
West Ham have won... I know, you don't care
Southend are down.
One minute of stoppage time.
Leeds fans have started running on the pitch to try and get the match abandonned.
Other fans are booing them.
Players are off the field.
Reports comning in that the game is over
Sorry mate, I am thinking of you.
A sad sad day
Bloody Norah!
Yeah, we're all but down.
We'd need to win at Derby next week by nine goals and have Hull lose. Not possible. We're down.
You guys could beat Derby 5 nil and Hull lose by four.
I am still with you.
I won't be around next Sunday morning. I have my first outdoor game
The game at Elland Road is not over yet.
The ref says there is still another minute left
IT is on Five Live right now
The players are back out with a corner kick for Leeds. It is 12:26
Everyone is in the penalty area
Bloody hell, they're still playing! They've been off for some thirty minutes and now they're going to try another corner....
It's cleared. They're on the attack again. Only Leeds could do this to me. I'm going to have an aneuryism!
It has now finished.
What a bummer.
It looks like you were oblivious to all this.
And now it's all over. Still going down.
Again, sorry mate.
WIN THE LEAGUE NEXT YEAR!!!
Cheers, mate!
Sorry, Bob. . . every week it seems like LUFC concedes a late goal . . .but a lifeline for my Hammers though . . . .We'll need full points from Bolton next week.
Thanks, mate. It definitely hurts to think of the club dropping into the third tier for the first time in its history. I'm also alarmed about the disgraceful behavior of Leeds fans at the end of the match and toward Ipswich fans. We'll likely get hammered by the FA for that. I'd like to think that we'll clean house over the summer and bounce right back but the club is mired with financial difficulties already and it may take some time to get out of it. I'm going to have to think hard before plonking down more money for FSC next season. At a certain point, there's no a lot of fun watching the likes of Villa and Spurs when you're club is playing Yeovil. Instead I may pay for the live streaming access on the LUFC site. Cheers.
