Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Can I answer this one?
I haven't cheated(just like with Andre K.)
I thnk I know two right off the bat.
Aston Villa and Blackburn.
I will think about #3 and give someone else a chance.
Well done, mate. You've nailed two of them down. One more to go and it's a tricky one. I'll give you one hint - they're still in the Premiership today.
I think I know.
I will give it a shot.
How about Derby County?
I think I want to change my last answer.
You tricked me by saying the last one was a tricky one. That made me think it was a team that we wouldn't normally think of. I don't think Derby were in the inaugural Prem.
The answer has to be Everton not Derby
Right on the second guess, mate. Everton. Do you ordinarily think of them? I don't - I reckon that they're one of many who make up the numbers in the Premiership these days. And if they go into the next season with James Beattie leading the line again with AJ, they'll be mid-table once again.
Yes, Villa, Everton and Blackburn were in the original Football League in 1888 and part of the first year of the Prem. So who won the league in 1888 then?
I would always put Everton in all of those types of questions. I know they have NEVER been out of the top league. Arsenal have never been relegated but they weren't in the top to begin with.
I think the Original Invisibles won the league.
Preston North End.
If you are asking for winners of the original Premier League... that would be MANCHESTER UNITED!!!
Just for good memories for you, Who wond the last English First Division?
That would be wee Gordon Strachan and Lee "On Me 'ead" Chapman, mate! What a team, eh? What a team!
Are you watching the "World Series of Footie?" I watched a bit of the Chelski vs. Suwon match the other night and it was pants. The only bright spot was the new Chelski away kit - boom boom!
Excellent question, Gator B, and well answered United . . . I knew none of the correct responses, of course. . . .
To be honest, I'd have only got Villa. The others I wouldn't have had a clue. I might have guessed the Arse.
