U.S. vs. Colombia Live!
After being eliminated from the Copa by the travesty that was Mexico vs. Chile last night, the U.S. boys go into tonight's match with Colombia just trying to avoid the wooden spoon award for the tournament. We'll need a big performance from "Double T," who has been pants in the past two weeks.
Come on!

Seven changes for Bob Bradley side; I'll try to spot them while their playing - I see:
Guzan
Califf
Moor
Kljestan
Mapp
Johnson
Gomez
Moor picks up a silly early yellow for a rash challenge. Looks like white boy rasta Beckerman is on.
Early free kick chance for Kljestan goes well wide.
Clark in the whole again.
The D.C. lad Bobby Boswell looks to be replacing Bornstein.
And it looks like Heath Pearce on the left side of midfield.
GOAL! And it's Castillon who nods home for Colombia's first. Oh dear, we're in deep trouble now. 0-1.
Drew Moor is having a shocker. Already on a yellow, he nearly gave away a penalty five minutes ago and completely lost Castillon on the back post there.
Bit of the "Oles" from the Venezuelan crowd here; Hugo Chavez must be loving the U.S. display in this Copa.
Dangerous free kick....
And we're missing all the headers in the box here. Guzan lost the ball there too and it rolled across the six yard box just waiting for a Colombian tap-in. That was a real let off.
The atmosphere seems to be quite a bit more hostile tonight for some reason and some challenges are really flying in. The youngsters will have to watch themselves or they'll be taking the proverbial early bath.
EJ seems the only U.S. player on his game tonight. He wins a tasty looking free kick opportunity and....
Mapp swings it in and it's cleared away for Kljestan to have a whack at.
Nice run there from Hercules Gomez, although I do agree with Hudson that he could have dished off to EJ earlier. Picks up a free kick.
The U.S. is playing a bit better in the second period here after a rough opening fifteen minutes, but they really need a goal before half-time in order to stay in this.
Kljestan now goes into the book for a reckless challenge down the side.
And it looks like we got away with a bad foul on the edge of the area there too.
Whew, we're getting done at the back with this new set up.
So if we started a "C" team against the Argies in the first game, this must be the "D" team. No wonder the Conmebol bigwigs are plenty pissed at Bob Bradley. This is a poor, poor show.
Oh dear, now it's a penalty for Colombia! A through ball catches us out and Guzan catches the striker. I agree with Hudson - it was a stone cold pen.
Up steps the Colombian and it's a good penalty from admittedly a poor pen.
Now, maybe that penalty save might spark a bit of a revitalization among the U.S. side. The defending really has been shocking.
To be fair, I reckon only about four or five of these players on this display are fit to wear the shirt:
Guzan
Conrad
Clark
Mapp
Johnson
And it's another scything tackle to deny Colombia, this time from Clark and he's lucky not to pick up a yellow there.
Oh dear, the Colombians are through again and if not for a hilarious whiff there, it could have been another.
Half-time: 0-1 Colombia - well this has been a dispiriting performance so far. We're being outplayed by a really ordinary side and are in danger of going home rank bottom of this tournament.
Second half starting....
For some reason, Eddie Gaven has come on for Gomez, so only EJ is up front now.
Oh, Justin Mapp goes in two-footed and picks up a yellow. It could have been worse if the Colombian had made more of a meal of it.
Better possession here but they need to make it count with some real chances. So far Eddie Gaven's header over the bar has been the best chance of the half.
Another great Hudsonism - "pussycat power." Brilliant!
Charlie Davies coming on for Mapp.
Wow, both Hudson and Schoen seem to be writing the epitagh on Taylor Twellman's international career. The guy's 26. Surely he'll have some role to play in WC 2010 qualifying?
Oh, a ball clears everyone as it fizzes across the six yard box. That just needed a toe in for the equalizer.
A good flash of speed there from Charlie Davies. I like to see that from a young player. Haven't seen him before, but apparently he's playing in Sweden somewhere.
EJ's wasting a lot of good opportunities. You just imagine that he's got the speed to burn by some of these defenders but just doesn't have the confidence.
Lee Nyugen on now for no apparent reason. He's far too slight to make any impression at this level. I can't imagine that he causes any Dutch defenders any worries.
Fifteen minutes left to rescue some face for the U.S. here.
Great saving tackle there from Ngyugen. It certainly looked like the tap-in was on there.
Shame. Kyle Beckerman is caught ball watching and has his goal wiped off the sheet for offside.
And now the Colombian keeper has been sent off after picking up a second yellow for time wasting. It's thoroughly deserved as it's absurd that the Colombians are playing for time. And the keeper is taking his time going off now!
Full-time: So that's it. Three games, three losses. Two goals scored, eight conceded. Not bloody good enough.
