Mourinho Sacked!
Wow! I knew that the blood was bad between Roman and Jose but I didn't realize just how bad. Chelski have sacked "The Special One" this morning in the wake of their disappointing result against Rosenberg. Whoever replaces Mourinho will have to deal with those galactico-sized egos just as he did. Good luck to em.
Any thoughts, lads?

Gator, this headline should read
"Egotistical, Annoying, Ill-mannered Wanker Sacked."
1. I hope he takes up the Portugal job because we'll have seen the back of him until we're drawn against them in some competition. Good riddance.
2. Chelsea undeniably are going to be worse off without him because it's not him, it's the players that have underperformed and the back-room mafia that undercut him.
3. Let this be a lesson for Arsenal to take to heart. Defend yourself from oily, criminal Russian oligarchs. They will never have your club's best interests at heart and their unwanted attentions will drag you down. Drive these vultures back east of the Dnieper River and keep them there.
4. This is likely to further screw the Spuds because you can bet that Juande Ramos is now top of the list for Chelski. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when Levy next talks to Jol. "Uh...Martin? Quick word?" "Get shhtufft!"
I can't believe that I actually feel a bit sorry for the Portugeezer. I never bought the "Special One" nonsense; yet, in fairness to the man, he's one of the very managers who's been able to take a group of huge-priced, egotistical players and made them work. Granted, he only really had Chelski clicking for about a season, maybe eighteen months and then heavily relied on the brilliance of Essien and Drogba, but I agree with you that Chelski will almost certainly fail no matter which Juande they bring in.
Really, feeling sorry for this little tosser? You should have that checked out medically.
I'm not a doctor, but I'd say that you might be suffering from overwork or sunstroke or flipping malaria with that kind of sentiment.
The normal reaction to news like this is euphoria followed by long periods of hilarity as those mobsters and primadonnas lurch around to find a solution.
Keep taking the treatments Gator. I hope you're resting comfortably and taking light refreshment soon.
Sunstroke, definitely. It's still bleedin' 95 degrees down here in the Swamp! I shall try to up to quota of Gatorade.
This reminds me of when I had FIFA 1994 (?) on the computer and I was managing West Ham and over the course of two seasons I led us out of the First Division and into the Premiership. We won the title and then in my fourth campaign we were mid-table after about 8 matches, but we'd just won our first leg in the European Cup and I got bloody sacked and then offered a position with Southampton . . . I never played that effing game again.
I reckon that Martin Jol should have some free time on his hands in a few days. Maybe he and Jose could just swap places. They wouldn't even have to put their properties on the market.
I have never liked his "act" even when he was with Porto. I know the same could be said about SAF or AW but he went one step further. He could have won and lost with some class. He never gave the other team any credit and was too much the "Special One"
My two thoughts on where he will end up as soon as I saw the news were Portugal and Spurs.
I wonder how hard the Spurs board will go for him? He is exactly what they want.
As for Chelsea, what is going to happen? Is Roman going to be fed up? Could this be another Leeds United fall? I have always thought that Leeds are a bigger club than Chelsea. If it happened to Leeds it could definitely happen to them.
I think a lot of players were Jose's and they will leave as soon as they can. I think the Chelsea Ship has sailed.
Totally agree with Dave. I've thought for several years that there were some big clubs that were building on sand. I thought Liverpool might be the first to drop, but they've managed to slip into the Champions League - usually third or fourth slot - year after year, so they've hung on and look pretty good this year. Not Chelski. Roman is clearly arsed off about the way they're playing and how long will it be before he takes his money and invests it with another side - or takes it down the dogtrack, for that matter. Chelski will be left with a whole lot of white elephants such as Cashley on an ungodly amount a dosh every week and will struggle to keep afloat. Totally agree with Dave.
Well, great minds think alike!!!!
Everything is pointing to a non-compete clause in his compensation package which means that he won't likely show up at Spurs. And I don't believe that this Avram guy is long-term material at Chelsea.
What at time to face Chelsea, eh Davey? Bet you can't keep the drool off the replica shirt thinking about Sunday.
Knowing my luck, they will play a blinder just for Jose
I doubt it, Dave. It really could be the best chance that you've had in ages to do them over proper.
As for new manager choice, Steven Cohen was plumping for Guus Hiddink.
I can't believe that Hiddink would want any part of the Mafia circus around the club. That's going to be a real damper to finding a top man to take the job. Sure, Roman's got his ill-gotten billions to throw around, but it's not like the top men around are that short of a few bob that they need to sign on Satan's dotted line.
