We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!
News out of Blighty today seem to suggest that Kevin Keegan has seen quite enough of Newcastle after that 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Arsenal at the weekend and has walked out on the club. Newcastle have issued a statement that they have not sacked King Kev but that doesn't preclude his having thrown the toys out of the pram now, does it?

Some websites said he was sacked but then the club said he wasn't.
I think with all the fans on his side, he'll come back.

Wisey should never have left Elland Road. We loved that Cockney geezer at Leeds. Not that we'd have him back now. But Gus Poyet? All is forgiven, Gus, we'll have you back as Macca's #2 any day.
Wise is a muppet - he will be a hate figure at Newcastle.
Poyet will be a great pick and a repairing with Wise so makes sense to me. I think Poyet will do it.
However - Ashley's illegal pint downing shows what kind of tool he is. Working for him is a disaster and he has not followed through with the money he has promised - or Wise has failed on the recruitment front with the promised money - one of those 2 statements is true.
I like Newcastle but I want to see Ashley suffer for this.
