It's the end of the world as we know...but I feel fine, because it's a big day of international footer. First up is Scotland vs. Norway at 10 a.m. EST, followed by England against Kazakhstan at 12:15. I've got the Scotland vs. Norway match up now. It's coming through GolTV, which means it's the Geordie madman Ray Hudson doing the color. Magic!
The big front men for Norway, especially Villa's John Carew, are causing all sorts of problems for the Scottish defense.
Twenty minutes in and it's still 0-0. The Scots really need a result today.
Darren Fletcher seems to be the lynchpin for the Scots today. Ray Hudson is complaining that his being made captain by George Burley inhibits his creative role.
I don't know about playing James McFadden as an out and out striker. He's much better in the hole or coming off the bench for the unpredictable. The Scots don't seem to have the quality striker like Andy Gray, Kenny Dalglish, or Joe Jordan in this current generation.
