Rotherham vs. Leeds Live!
The rest of you have your fancy Dan Champions League and UEFA Cup matches to watch your heroes in every week. Me? It's the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy away to Rotherham today. Sure, I know what you're thinking. It's not the Nou Camp. True enough, but it's the first time I've seen my Whites in live action since the first round of the FA Cup last season against Exeter.
So, I'll be watching and cheering the boys on. Come on, Jermaine!

Hurrah! The feed is up and running and everything is looking fine. Anybody else out their in blogland who's got a taste for some Johnstone's Paint action this afternoon?
United We Stand take notice! It's that immortal Old Trafford marksman Gary Birtles doing the color commentary this afternoon. Magic!
Cagey opening here in the first five minutes. Rotherham are one of these clubs that's been in financial straits and were docked 17 points at the beginning of the season. But they're already in the black so they're a quality side.
First chance from a set piece for the Leeds boys...
It's Robert Snodgrass who takes and strikes the bar with his effort. Tremendous!
Bugger! I was dealing with a student at my door for five minutes and I've come back to find that bloody Rotherham have scored. We're 1-0 down.
Snodgrass with another set piece. He lofts it in to Michalik but it's cleared out.
GOAL! Yes, Jonathan Howson sticks it home after an almighty scramble in the box. Any one of six players could have scored their but it's Howson that brings us level.
1-1!
Nice raking shot from Neil Kilkenny goes just a fraction wide.
Bugger! Penalty to Rotherham.
Come on, Lucas!
Oh, Lucas saved the first effort but the Rotherham skipper stuck in the rebound.
Rotherham 2-1 up with half-time approaching.
We've had enough chances in this match to be up. We need to get the equalizer before the break.
Half-time: Rotherham 2-1.
Disappointing, really. We should be in the lead but I think we have enough to dig this one out in the second half. But Rotherham are a decent side and they're giving us a fright here.
I am here, I will look for the link
I have the feed up and running.
What is this stadium. I didn't recognize the teams at first.
Leeds in blue!!
When is the last time you saw one of their games.
Yeah, I'm not on the blue and white striped away kit. I much prefer the traditional yellow.
We're playing away at Rotherham who are near the bottom of Division 2 because of a 17 point deduction. They went into administration this summer.
FSC showed the FA Cup first round clash with Exeter City last season, which ended in a 0-0 draw and we lost the replay. (sigh)
Yikes!!
Nice cross
What is going on?
Bloody hell! We're 3-1 down. We're in a deep hole now. Why on earth did Macca rest Beckford and Becchio for this match? What else have we got going this week?
BTW, I know it is Rotherham but it must be a new stadium.
Did you notice that it's your man Gary Birtles doing the color commentary?
Dunno - I don't like Rotherham. I don't have any idea what their old ground looked like either.
I read your comment. I wouldn't have recognized the voice. He was never a real RED DEVIL. He was all Forest in my book
That was a hopeless shot from Andy Robinson. It would have been in Row Z but there's a huge track round the pitch.
BLOODY HELL
FOUR!!!
4-1! Unbelievable!
Do you want me to turn it off? All I have seen is Rotherham goals!!
Good news, Kathy just delivered cheese on toast to me
I'm going to slink off home from work and go soak my head. I cannot believe that we've been on fire all season and the game that they broadcast is the one where we're getting mullered.
Now you're just mocking me with your cheese on toast.
We were doing fairly well in the first half, definitely in the contest. Not now. I wouldn't bother sticking Beckford now!
So, you're leaving me alone!
Yes, Leeds are back, Leeds are back!!
Yes! Big Enoch sticks one in from an acute angle. 4-2. Game on!
By the time you get home, they will be winning
All of got here in my office are some pistachios in my desk drawer. I'd love a bit of cheese on toast.
Nice passing by Leeds
This one's for big Lubo!
Go on, Enoch - get onside, mate!
Come visit again and Kathy will deliver some to you
There it is - the Don Valley Stadium, whatever that is. Any ideas?
What, I've got to drive six hours for my cheese on toast?!
Leeds have won 6 consecutive games?
Bloody hell, Showumni has been hopeless today. His single contribution in the first half was hacking down a player for which he should have been booked. Now he's been offside about five or six times.
I don't know what they're talking about. We just lost to Peterborough at the weekend. Maybe we had won six before that.
they are passing the ball around well.
Does this bloke know the the offside rule?
It's still amazing to me that I can sit in my office and dial up a match that's being played three thousand miles away that most in the UK wouldn't even bother to watch! Incredible!
I'm not sure...he's from Barcelona.
Very funny
I know, this website is stunning. I hope it continues.
Free kick chance and the big boys going to come on up top
Just wide
Who's this Argie plonker
Alright now, here comes big Jermaine Beckford and his sidekick Luciano.
Beckford seems to be giving up after being knocked off the ball twice
Who? Becchio? He's a guy we picked up last January. He's our second top scorer. A good foil for Jermaine now that we lost Tresor Kandol.
We've taken our foot off the gas here. We're letting Rotherham back in.
I didn't know he was there that long.
Get a haircut!! Pruttin too
Becchio's got the girly Argie headband, doesn't he?
Yeah, I agree with you about Prutton. Disgusting.
Great cross and header and sadly great and then off the crossbar!!
I hate that except for Tev
of course I meant great save
Again, Leeds look like a great passing team.
Nice save again.
Leeds are down to ten with a hammy problem
Should be a magic day on Saturday, eh? What do you think of the squad with no Mikey?
My cousin from Ohio is visiting me on Saturday at 1 o'clock ish. RIGHT DURING THE ENGLAND GAME. It starts at 12:15
No goal!!! Lucky buggers
What kind of wall is that? Oh bollocks, they've let a header loop in! No, it's been flagged off. Well in, linesman!
good decision
Well, he's gonna have to watch the match, then, isn't he?
Eight minutes left to get two back and earn a penalty shootout. I don't fancy it. Beckford looks like he can't be bothered. What's he waiting for - a call up to the national squad?
Roon and Crouch up front for England, then?
I thought the same.
Does Leeds have a game this weekend?
Not sure who I would start up top.
I definitely would want Crouch and not Defoe
Yeah. Only Leicester have the weekend off because the international break. As if they've got anyone that Don Fabio is looking at!!!
I just don't understand teams at this level resting players even if they have league matches coming up. MK Dons won this thing last season and look how much they've improved in the past couple of years. It can only help morale and finances even if it's a small trophy.
That was a ridiculous dive by the Rotherham git. He just fell over.
I think teams should think that with every trophy
Looks like it is over.
I have to leave to go to another kid's practice.
Unlucky, better luck on the weekend.
Cheers
Dave
There was no contact there. Gary's a pillock!
Cheers, mate. Talk to you at the weekend.
Into stoppage time.....
This one's all over and we're out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. I'm thoroughly disgusted with the whole thing. What a disappointment.
