Premiership Live!
Before my inevitable fall from grace, let me just note my position at the top of the heap of the Ronaldo the Slave predictions league. I'll be looking for a similar return today as we get set for a full slate of Premier League goodies on offer.
All that and Leeds away to Walsall. Join me if you're snowed in, won't you?

Here are my predictions for today:
Stoke 1 Citeh 1
Arse 2 Hammers 1
Villa 3 Wigan 1
Bolton 1 Spurs 1
Fulham 1 Pompey 1
Hull 1 WBA 0
Boro 1 Blackburn 1
United 2 Everton 1
Newcastle 1 Sunderland 1
Liverpool 1 Chelski 1
In the early match Stoke and Citeh are at 0-0. That's fine for me. I've predicted a lot of draws this morning, for some reason.
Huge blow for Stoke as Rory Delap is sent off for kicking the ball against Shaun Wright-Phillips when the Man City winger was on the ground. Stoke down to 10, still 0-0 at the Britannia Stadium
Against all the odds, Stoke lead Man City and it's James Beattie again! He beats Wayne Bridge at the back post and powers a header past Joe Hart in the City goal. Stoke 1 Man City 0 in first-half injury-time.
The whistle blows for half time at the Britannia Stadium, Stoke lead Man City 1-0.
I've finally got a decent stream up for the Stoke-Citeh match and it's brilliant, straight from Sky Sports with Andy Gray doing the color. Check it out at:
http://www.justin.tv/footballnowlivefg
Half an hour left for Citeh to pick this one out. A win would lift Stoke out of the drop zone.
Robinho has looked flat this week. He's got to have that arrest for sexual assault on his mind. The club has already fined him two weeks wages for the incident.
Stoke are predictably parking the bus now, trying to hold out for 25 minutes with ten men.
Decent half chance there for Robinho. He was unmarked with back to goal, swiveled and tried to hit one on the volley. Didn't quite come off for him.
Dutch wonderkid DeJong is coming off. Disappointing day for him. Caicado on.
You know, earlier in the season, players like Stephen Ireland and SWP were really linking up nicely with Jo. What happened to Citeh?
Fifteen minutes left for Citeh now. A loss would drop them back in it for sure.
The real relegation dogfight today is Boro vs. Blackburn. A result for either club would launch them out of the drop zone. That along with a Stoke win here would make a lot of Premier League managers nervous tonight.
Stoke rather predictably bring on an extra defender for the last 12 minutes or so.
Craig Bellamy has a bit of space at the top of the box and isn't too far away with his effort.
Into the last ten minutes now. It's desperate stuff for the Stoke defense.
Bellamy wins yet another corner now. It's all one-way traffic.
SWP seems to be being booed at every touch by the Stoke fans - why?
Stoke fans are leaping up and down celebrating as if their side has won the Cup today. Steady on.
If that James Beattie goal proves the winner, it will go a long way toward justifying his transfer fee. A priceless strike for Stoke.
SWP goes down in a heap in the box and the Citeh players are surrounding the referee now. Elano is brandishing an air yellow card at the ref.
SWP is on the turf again and does win a free kick this time. Dangerous one here. Elano to take...well defended.
For all the Citeh pressure in the second half, I can't remember Thomas Sorenson having a real save to make.
Three minutes of stoppage time now...
Seconds left now...
And Stoke have held out for a memorable home win. That James Beattie goal lifts them out of the relegation at least temporarily today. As for Citeh, it's another blow for Sparky and it drops them right back in it.
Stoke 1 Citeh 0
Hey Bob
I am back from basketball.
Shocker for Citeh.
Hughes must be in trouble
WELL DONE AT BEING TOP OF THE HEAP!
Villa and Wigan are on FSC
I am going to try and bring up the Arsenal West Ham game on ATDHE
p2p does have a link for Soccer Saturday starting at half time
Bugger, the Arse link is for PCs only
Iraq goals looks like they have the Arse link.
After we get through the Iraqi pre-game, hopefully there is English commentary
Chelskilad said he would be around this morning.
Let's hope he does
Morning, Dave! How's the weather in Scotia? We're doing okay here. I did notice that SS link, which I'll investigate at half-time. FSC are setting up for the Villa-Wigan match. I'm trying Justin.TV for the Arse-West Ham match. There's one bloke who seems to play the Transporter series non-stop and then pops the match on when it starts, so I've got the Jason Statham going right now.
Let's hope Chelskilad is around for tomorrow's epic encounter.
Still Statham - I'm trying another link. I'll let you know if I get a good 'un.
Nice clear link from iraqgoals for the moment. Weird line up for us. Kolo and Gallois together and no RVP.
The Arsenal game has started on iraq goals and FSC are still babbling on. SHUT UP WARREN!
Oh no. Steve Bennett in charge. That could play a factor.
Villa getting set to kick off here.
Hi Guys .
I am about , but will be in and out .
Good win for Stoke . I fear for
Hughes .
Leeds are kicking off at Walsall right about now. Come on, you Whites!
They are finally off on FSC
ooh, Diaby should have done better there!!
Adebayor with the games first chance and then Diaby just over the bar!!
Positive for us
What's the Iraq Goals link, lads?
I checked out the SS link I don't think it is going to work. It is same link that is on the Sky web page and is blocked in this country
Villa go close
Villa bombing up the pitch right from the start. Gabby Ag got free on the left, crossed for Ivanhoe. Just behind the big man.
Welcome, Tony!
Morning, Gooner - good luck with the Hammers today.
Okay, Tony is here.
Time to pick on Chelski
Stockport have taken the lead against Hereford. Not good news for Bob
Morning Gooner
Lots of snow here in Scotia
Worlington has snow in the forecast.
We may get a noreaster on Tuesday or maybe just rain
We have already used up all of our snow days
I'll stake my ground by saying I don't like Mark Hughes. I don't blame Davey for sticking up for him, but he was a spiky sort of player who I never rated as high as commentators every did. As for his managerial career, he was responsible for gathering one of the most brutal set of athletes (and I won't dignify Brett Emerton and co.s status any higher) at Blackeye, and now he's in the crap at the helm of the Citizens. The sooner he is gone, the better.
Got the Arse-Hammers link up on Iraqgoals. Lovely!
I am not sticking up for Hughes at all. I think it is too big for him
Arsenal have started brightly. I don't know if SIr Trev's lot have got it out of their own half yet
Uh oh, Leeds have fallen behind after 7 minutes
Mornin' all.
Good luck to Leeds this morning.
Pretty happy with our pressure, but don't know why we're crossing the ball when Bendtner isn't crashing in on goal. After all, he and Gallois are the headed goal threats.
Carlton Cole was on side there. Risky stuff from the Arsenal backline playing so far up the pitch.
Hey Bob, I see your predictions. You brag about being in first place and then you predict United will give up a goal for the first time since our trip to the Emirates on November 8!!!
I agree with the assessment. Canby Town is about his managerial level.
Bugger!
I could be wrong about my predictions today but my league position doesn't lie, does it?
Is there any way that both teams could lose tomorrow?
Just wondering
I keep forgetting to pick my predictions. It's been too busy at work and I'm completely shagged when I get home.
Oooh, Eboue in completed pass shocker!
I reckon that Sparky could do well with a yo-yo club at the upper reaches of the Championship.
Next year, I'm going to look for a game called, "I Don't Have A F*****g Scooby Doo What The Score Is." Might do well there.
A draw tomorrow has to be your best result, Davey. I know you'd like a mass suicide on the pitch, but it ain't gonna happen.
You're not doing that badly Gooner. Still in the top reaches of the league if memory serves. Trev, however, has clearly been letting the kids make his picks.
Who did Martin O'Neil take over for"
Was it O'Learey
Fulham have taken the lead against Pompey
HOOOOF! goes Denilson. That was MLS quality.
C'mon lads, don't waste that positive start.
shame
Still 0-0 in the FSC match. It just seemed as if the matches this weekend would be fairly tight. Sorry, Dave, but I can't see you lot running up a score against Everton.
How a big fight and have both teams docked points!
Do you like that idea Tony?
Maybe Hughes will go to Pompey.
I don't think Adams is going to last long
Not a single shot for us yet at Walsall. What the bleedin' hell is going on there.
Well, until Tuesday(except for Chelsea) we only win 1-0
Alright, Bendtner did well to keep up front there. He's been drifting into the middle too much for my liking.
Northampton are beating the leaders
MK Dons have taken the lead
Not going well four our Bobby
Yeah, Martin came in for O'Leary who is probably still drawing a salary from us. I know that El Tel is still on the payroll.
Interesting, West Ham are the last to win at Highbury and the first to win at the Emerates
Not good at all so far.
Nick really climbed for that, maybe early?
I missed the Arsenal line up
I see Bendtner and Adebayor are playing
Where is RVP?
Sotton have taken the lead against the red hot Swansea
Cardiff have done the same against Forest
Chelskilad is notably silent on your idea of a circular firing squad tomorrow, Dave.
Leicester have tied it up
That stat is testament to my lasting shame. We sucked so bad at that Emirates game.
Hey, did Bob tell you I'm off to London at the end of Feb?
That was a nasty tackle!!
Clumsy there from Diaby and he's out of the derby. Ah, there's confirmation that they're resting RVP for the Spurs match.
No he didn't.
Lucky you
Are you going to be able to get to a game?
Ramsey and Wilshere are available, and Diaby's form has been quite rubbish. His passing is quite shocking at times.
We're home to Fulham, so I'm going to try.
Have a donor kebab with Dad for me, eh? Extra chili sauce.
Uh oh, lost the Iraqgoals feed.
Only that one goal at Craven Cottage so far in the Prem. A bit quiet.
me too
Gabby Ag should have scored there from the corner. He nodded a free header straight at the man on the post!
The Yank saves Villa
Hereford have pegged Stockport back. Good news that one.
Friedel makes a nice save with his feet there.
Half an hour gone at Walsall and still no shots for the Whites. Grrr.
Stockport have been pegged back.
Things are all changing in League 1, right Bob?
Any of you get the link back?
The natives are restless at the Riverside - poor fare so far from Middlesbrough. Blackburn looking much the better side.
Yeah, plenty of goals in Div. 1. Tranmere have leapfrogged us into 7th with a goal at Crewe. We need a win today, no doubt. Beckford's back, Trundle has been in good form. No excuses.
No, I haven't got it back. Gooner?
I checked out the ATDHE site and the Arsenal game is no longer just for windows. The link is frozen at the moment but I am sure it will come back
Gareth Barry chops De Ridder. Good free kick opportunity for Wigan now. Villa haven't looked that good, truth be told.
Bolton in front against Spurs - free-kick from the impressive Mark Davies whipped in and Sebastien Puygrenier makes no mistake to give the Trotters a valuable lead.
Bolton have taken the lead against Spurs
What is up with Spurs!!
Did you see that Defoe could be out for the whole season?
Stockport back in the lead. 2-1 there.
Atdhe link is up and running but no sound.
I had this for the United WBA game until half time
Yeah, that's why 'Arry is in for Robbie Keane. They've got to get on their bikes, though. The window closes on Monday!
Huddersfield have taken the lead agains Peterboro
Mine's still frozen on a West Ham player's chest.
That's a good score for us.
Mine was too but it is now up and running... again with no sound
Into the last five minutes in North London
Can't find a link yet. I've checked Ustream, Iraqgoals, ATDHE...., nowt.
Weird that myp2p doesn't show any Prem matches, no?
That was a risky header there from Bramble
The Atd link is working for me
From the statistics, it looks as if we've been totally outplayed at Walsall. Simon Grayson's got to rattle the teacups in the dressing room. No excuses from this shite.
YOur the one that said the Prem was stopping them
Yeah, there's no Prem on myp2p until they settle their legal matters.
I'm going to try the SS link there during half-time though. Adthe still frozen for me.
Back to the ATDHE mute offer.
Better than nothing.
The Dons are two up
Vela is on, who went off?
Chelskilad has buggered off
There it is - good feed on Adthe now. Cheers, Davey!
I just looked it up
Eboue came off
Eboue went off in the 36th minute for Vela. Must be an injury, no?
Off the line by an Arsenal player
Great save by Friedel
Must be.
What a save from Brad there! Point blank header tipped over. He's a tribute to all 40 somethings everywhere.
Hull have taken the lead against WBA
Half-time at Villa Park. Villa lucky to still be at 0-0. Friedel's kept them in it.
Half time at Villa park
The Arse link has had a bit of trouble. Let's hope they sort out the sound. Again, the sound clicked on for the United game recently
Half time at the Emirates - 0-0.
I refreshed ATDHE and they've changed their feed again to something with about a 3-minute delay. But there's sound.
I just opened up the Arse link again and it seems behind because it just went to half time but it has sound
snap
Leeds go in at half one down
No luck so far with the SS link on myp2p sadly. Will have to settle with Christian and Warren.
Looking at the Premiership table, you'd have to predict that forty points will not secure survival this season. There's usually at least one no hoper on around 10 points at this stage. WBA on the bottom have 21 and will probably go down but there are a load of teams on 24 and below and Hull on 30 will have to look over their shoulders.
How is Liverpool vs. Chelski a "table topping clash?" It's #2 vs. 3.
I like the Setanta around the grounds at half
No Chelskilad has not "buggered off".
I said I would be in and out . And
yes I did catch those Chelski/Costa
comments !!! Clutching at straws a
bit aren't we Dave ? Have you no faith
in your lot ?
Yeah, that groundhopping keeps me at the keyboard.
The Chelski Costa game could be 3 v 4
They're off at the Em with sound
Teams back on at Villa. I reckon that this is a big opportunity for Arsenal today. Wigan look a bit up for it and might pull off a result against the Villans.
They're off at Villa Park
Yep, there's confirmation of the "injured Eboue." Just as well, IMHO.
Wigan are a decent team. They gave us all we could handle at OT and did the same to Costa
My lot have the Hammers next week at Upton Park
The Dons are 0-3 up. I'm not sure that we can really worry about Leicester and the Dons at this point. We'll do well to qualify for the playoffs at this point.
I think MK are catchable
The Arse have some sustained pressure here
Wigan are ordinary but organized. I'm not sending any flowers to their ground for their efforts in football.
Yeah, they're not likely to go down, but if you won't watch the MLS, you should decline to watch what's being served at the JJB.
Desperate defending from the Hammers now.
I concur.
Wigan sure looked good going forward at Old Trafford. I was very impressed and nervous at the same time
Great opportunity spurned there from Diaby.
Even league winning sides have an off-day.
Leeds have started brightly in the second half.
Dave !
No reply to my comment then ?
Crikey, we could do with some guile and craft in the midfield combined with a good finisher up front.
WBA have tied it up with Hull
As for tomorrow's game, I want both teams to get docked points
Villa hit the post
Neat stuff from Bendtner there but it's all thirty yards from goal.
That's Steve Bennett in a nutshell. Two minutes away from allowing somebody to lay his arm over Nasri's neck to get the ball off him, he books that bloke for kicking the ball away.
The epitome of a lazy cop. Shameful.
Don't be greedy, Davey. Just hope for a 0-0 draw.
Okay, as long as we get three this afternoon
That's Arsenal youngster on the scoresheet for West Brom. You could use his firepower today, no?
Jay Simpson, I meant.
Yeah, Torres and Cashley in a girly slap-fest, followed by a sending off, and then an assault on a spectator brandishing a cell-phone at Cashley as he heads down the tunnel.
In the melee afterwards, Stevie G slips on a pool of Tiny Terr's tears and strains his groin.
Dream-scenario.
Stockport now 3-1 up. Dons 4-0 up. Our position is the same though. We need a goal and soon.
You're not asking for much there, are you Gooner? I thought Davey was being unrealistic!
He's getting into their 11 every game. He'd never start with RVP, Adebayor, and the returning Eduardo ahead of him.
Good luck to him and if he does well, and wants to return, he'll get his chance.
Love your thinking Steve... love your thinking
The Dons are four up!
It's the anti-anxiety meds I've had to take this season talkin'
John Carew coming on for Villa
See, that's why I'm on the tablets. Ade-ade-ade, stick that one away.
Hate Carew.
RVP to come on then. Who's coming off?
Hate his haircut
Bob, what's the news at Walsall?
Diaby sacrificed? I think RVP would be a welcome introduction because there is potential here.
Must be Bendtner to come off. Yes, RVP to come on for Nick.
Spurs are now two down
Who's the professional Jock doing the color here? It's not Andy or Lou.
Gooner's favorite Trotter Kevin Davies on target.
It's Nick. I might have left him on.
Well, well. Cheltenham have got one back against the Dons.
Davies = T**T
Millwall have taken the lead against Stockport
Three games in the Premiership still at 0-0. Not good value for money there.
