One thing about FSC picking up the CL for next year is that it's finally time to say a unfond farewell to the worst football pundit in the world. He's so flippin' awful, it makes a good story even in a country that would have to you.tube him to find out just why we hate him.

Terrific stuff, Gooner. During yesterday's United-Porto CL match, The Onion Bag suggested that Vidic should have headed a ball that was about ankle height.
I'd love to think that FSC picking up the CL next season - btw, don't be surprised at a Bretos/Sullivan commentary team for that - will be the end of Tommy's career. They'll know doubt slide him into the already overcrowded Thursday night MLS coverage. Be afraid.
I'd be kind of surprised if they went Bretos/Sullivan. I bet they might have thought of it for a moment, but that anonymous caller to the FSC show told 'em straight:
Get the commentator right because we can always go directly to the source with the pirated streams from Justin, and etc.
I bet we get at least the Ian/Robbie team if not better.
And who knows, maybe a team like Healy?/Mustoe might jump to FSC. Certainly Smyth won't because he's got the horse racing and the hurley/Gaelic games gig. Derek Rae can always go back to the NE Sports Network if he drops the affected Rob Roy act.
It'll be interesting but I bet the conversation went like this.
FSC Suit: "Max, Christian, we got the bid for the CL starting next August"
Max, Christian: "Hooray!"
FSC Suit: "Yes, it's very exciting and we'll be auditioning on-air talent...not so fast Max."
