Champions League Live!
Plenty of great footer on today, highlighted by Arsenal trying to right the wrong of "that indirect free kick" back at the Emirates this evening. We've also got a couple of Premiership matches that effect the relegation battle and a full slate of Championship and League 1 matches including Leeds at Tranmere. Join me for the action!

C'mon you reds!
Absolutely - up the Gunners!
I've got a great link up for Gillette Soccer Special on Sky:
http://www.justin.tv/vip__tv#r=rO2oZd0~
With a number of injuries piling up for Arsene Wenger, Arsenal start Nik Bendtner up front alone Rosicky and Arshavin flanking him. Diaby fills the hole left by Cesc in midfield.
Terrific link for the Arse match here:

Teams in the tunnel.
In the studio, Ruud, Tony Adams and Graeme Souness.
Interestingly, all the pre-match chatter is negative about Arsenal's chances tonight. I don't see it that way. A 1-niller will be enough to see them through with the away goal. I think that always gives the home side the advantage. An early goal will settle the nerves.
I've just had a peek at the Leeds side for this afternoon. It's an unchanged side from the one that couldn't see off Brentford at home at the weekend.
Kick off time at the Emirates!
Come on, you Gunners! Come on, you Whites!
It's nice to see us on 69 points just for kicking off at Tranmere. I'd love the full three points today. Only Millwall of the top six play other than us.
Lively start for the Arsenal here. That's heartening to see.
Leeds on the attack straight away. Becchio going close with a header. That's been the pattern recently, but I can't remember when we scored in the first half.
Arsenal in full flow now. Arshavin was nearly in at the back post.
GOAL! And wouldn't you know - it's that man Nik Bendtner who couldn't buy a goal on Saturday who's scored.
Arshavin was nearly in again and when the ball popped loose, big Nik slotted home.
1-0 Arse (2-2 on agg.)
Another problem for Porto now. The goalkeeper has stayed down after that collision with wee Andrey.
YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Robert Snodgrass opens the scoring for us tonight with a corker of a free kick.
0-1 Leeds!
That's Snoddy's 11th of the season and it makes the table look even better for us. We're on 71 points now, five ahead of Charlton and eight ahead of Colchester after their loss yesterday.
I'm informed that that's the first first half goal that Leeds have scored since Old Trafford. Maybe that's an omen then.
15 minutes gone in tonight's fixtures and everything's going just peachy. Keep it up, lads.
Diaby comes close with a half chance from a corner. It's all Arse at this point.
YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
It gets better and better!
JB notches his 26th goal of the season with a simple penalty after Gary McSheffrey was brought down in the area.
0-2 Leeds!
Oh - nearly 2-0 Arsenal. Arshavin wriggles his way to the by-line and crossed at the six yard box. Bendtner just couldn't get the touch.
Bugger! Just when I was starting to enjoy the afternoon, Tranmere have pegged us back to 1-2.
Come on!
Millwall are 1-0 up and Swindon 1-0 down so they switched positions. Millwall up into 5th now on 62 points.
GOAL! Arsenal go 2-0 up!
It was Arshavin as the architect there. He weaved his way through the area and then tapped across for Bendtner to score easily. A whiff of offside but I think he was level while the Porto defenders were standing there like statues.
McSheffrey with a screamer saved by the tubby Tranmere keeper. Gary seems reborn today, no doubt after a real bollocking by Grayson on Saturday.
In the Premiership, Birmingham have taken a 0-1 lead at Pompey.
Sunderland are 1-0 up over Bolton. Lovely.
Hey Bob.... I walk in and see Bendtner knock in Arsenal's second!!!
Your lot are up two as well... good day for the Dahlgren brothers!
I have the Arse on MSG Plus
I will look for a Soccer Special on the net
It's quite an old ding dong at Tranmere tonight. It could easily be 3-5 Leeds at this point. Are there any defenders playing?
Lovely... an SS link on Justin TV
Fiorentina are beating Bayern
There was a nice Soccer Special link up on P2P earlier.
Good day indeed for us...so far.
Welcome, Dave! Good to have you on board.
Two goals for Nik Bendtner tonight after Saturday when he couldn't finish a fish and chip dinner. Football is a funny old game, eh?
Tranmere are giving me heart palpations. They're getting far too many chances tonight. Come on - keep it tight, lads!
Almunia passes it straight to a Porto player, who might have done better to get it on target.
Oh dear - after setting up two, Arshavin misses one of the easiest chances of the evening. Should have been 3-0!
Weird - the guy running the station has switched over to Arabic commentary. I'll be put on a CIA watchlist if this keeps up.
Half an hour in and I'd have to admit that Leeds are being outplayed by Tranmere. For weeks now we've been dropping points while outplaying the opposition. Now we're getting played off the park but leading 1-2. Go figure....
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
Becchio with #3! Fantastic!
That gives us a wee bit of breathing space. I was very nervous there for a few minutes.
Ipswich are 1-0 up against Cardiff. They could really use that win.
That header is Luciano's 12th goal of the season. What an important one that is. He's been in decent form since returning from injury. Seven goals since the New Year.
The Dons are 2-0 up over Swindon.
Arsenal have been completely dominant in midfield this evening. Porto can barely get a touch.
Bendtner rifles another at goal. He's got a point to prove with the home support tonight, for sure.
Cleared off the line!
Becchio goes into the book for unsporting behavior now. Nearly half time.
I am back from picking up Matt
Good job with the 3-1 lead
Again, I am watching MSG Plus for the game. Are you not at home?
There should be a link. I have Alan Perry and Andy Gray
Pompey are two down... bugger
Into the three minutes of stoppage time at the Emirates.
Corner to Arse...
I'm at work. I've got a mid-term to give at 4:30. I'm hoping that we're 1-5 up at that point.
There is no hope for Pompey this season.
Half-time at the Emirates then.
Arsenal, and particularly Nik Bendtner, will be delighted with that first half performance.
2-0!
3-1 up at half... not bad at all
The administrator has switched over to BBC coverage now!
Lineker with El Tel, Alan Shearer in the studio. Hope he keeps it on that.
Not bad at all. Hope it stays that way. Uh oh - he's back on Al Jazeera Sport - I had no idea there was even that channel, I swear. You'll come get me out of Gitmo when they toss me in, won't you, Dave?
If both scores say the same, The Arse and Fiorentina would go through
Yep - that would be fine by me. Of all the Serie A sides, Fiorentina's always been my favorite.
Teams back out at the Emirates. Porto have made an attacking change. Porto get us underway.
Come on, you Gunners! Come on, you Whites!
Maybe.... if you get off the Chelsea bandwagon and get on the United Championship surge
Second half underway at the Em
Eight goals in his first season at the Arse for Vermaelen. That's useful.
I'm not on any bandwagon, mate. I don't have a horse in the Premiership race after all. I just call them the way that I seem them. You lot have a tough run-in and Arsenal have injuries.
I would luv it if anyone but Chelski won the championship - how's about that then?
What's Harry Redknapp doing at the Emirates?
Firorentina double their lead
Thank you
Oooh - Falcao rifles a shot at Almunia. Arsenal are in danger of letting Porto back into this tie. What are they playing at?
You just keep thinking, Butch. That's what you're good at.
Porto goes close
Keep it tight Gooners
Nearly an hour gone at Tranmere. Still 1-3. That suits me.
The keeper made a mess of that shot from Arshavin but the ref bails him out.
Best of luck for the rest of the match
I'll keep the home fires burning during the midterm
Cheers, mate. I'm going to stick it out as long as I can. Nothing to set up tonight, just hand out the exams and that'll do nicely. I love mid-term week.
Bayern get a goal back
3-3 on agg and all tied
An hour gone at the Emirates now. Keep it tight, you Gunners!
The Tractor Roys have doubled their lead!
Struth... off the line from Arsenal!
Off the line by Nasri! He just kind of kneed it into Almunia's arms.
GOAL! Bloody hell - what a goal by Nasri! He beat about eight players!
3-0 Arsenal!
Charlie Nicholas and I are both nervous!
Arsenal have shown nothing....... and as I type.... NASIR scores a great goal.!!!! Dribbled around everyone and buried it in the far corner!
Fiorentina extend their lead and take the lead over on agg. Bayern still just need one goal
Sunderland double their lead
Bayern do get that goal
3-2 and are through on agg as it stands
THE ARSE SCORE A FOURTH IMMEDIATELY!!!
Eboue one on one with the keeper and finishes well
Bleedin' 'eck - I just came back from my classroom and there's Eboue slotting home #4 for the Arse.
Wow!
Twenty five minutes left at Tranmere. Still 1-3. Suits me just fine.
Keep it tight, you Whites!
What a finish from Eboue! Even better on the replay.
YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
Beckford with #4!
Still all quiet at Tranmere... that'll do nicely
I guess not.... well done
Beckford's found his scoring touch again. He was stuck on 24 goals for yonks and now he's hit three in the past two matches.
More of the same please on Saturday against the Saints, please!
Nasri coming off to quite an ovation. His goal opened things up. Denilson on to tighten things up.
Sunderland have a penalty and Bolton are down to ten men 3-0
Wilshire went off to hurt
Still hoping that Bolton will go down.
Fiorentina have the goal they need disallowed for offside
Theo on for Arshavin now for the last fifteen minutes.
You're off soon, maybe your 5-1 score will happen before you leave
Hulk has been rubbish tonight.
Cambridge take the lead at Kettering
I'm leaving it to the very last minute. When I went down to the classroom a few minutes ago to turn the lights on, there were a dozen students in there hosting an informal cram session. Cute, huh?
Isn't that special!
They probably think you're hard at work getting the test set!
WBA take a late lead against Wednesday
Snoddy and Becchio off now. They've had great nights. Tresor Kandol and Max Gradel on for the last ten minutes or so.
They know better!
I've turned the tv over to FSC to see the end of the game in Italy
That's it for me, today. I'm hoping that Tranmere can't score three in the last ten minutes.
I'll catch you tomorrow for the United match, eh? Cheerio!
Millwall double their lead
In Italy, an inviting cross came across for the Italians but there was no one there
Take care mate
4 to go of the 90 in Florence... home side needs a goal
Bristol City take the lead at Selhurst Park
Darren Bent scores his hat-trick.. Four nil
Into 3 added minutes
Arsenal have a pen...Bendtner for his hat-trick...he does
Five nil... Steve will be a happy chappy!!
Pompey get a late goal back
All over at the Emirates
FIVE NIL TO THE GUNNERS!!
Well done Steve!
It is over at Fiorentina, 3-2 to the hosts and 4-4 on aggregate but Bayern go through on away goals
Pompey have lost 1-2
Cambridge win at Kettering
Swindon get a late goal at MK Dons but still losing 1-2
Leeds have won 4-1
A VERY GOOD NIGHT FOR THE DAHGREN BOYS!!!
HOPE WE CAN SAY THE SAME FOR ME TOMORROW
Take care everyone
UWS
A stupendous night for the Dahlgren boys. I love it - Beckford's back in the goals and Nik Bendtner scores a hat-trick after his howler of a match on Saturday.
