Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

VDS
Neville
Rio
Vidic

Valencia
Carrick
Fletcher
Nani
Berbatov
Dempsey is in the Fulham team... I didn't know he was back so soon!
Roon

Game starts at 9:30. I thought it was a 9 o'clock kick off
I have a sky link at this link
http://footballstreams.tv/watch_1.php
The sound is a little iffy but the picture is good
My link is working wonderfully!!
Rooney hasn't scored a goal outside the box for two years???
I am going to miss the very beginning of the match
Let's hope United are ahead when I get back
I am back.. no score after 12 minutes
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MANU
Dempsey has a nice pop
Fulham attacking from too much for liking
This link is working well but it pops up some very inappropriate websites!
Rangers and Dundee United are having a ding dong battle in the Scottish Cup
It is 3-3 at Ibrox
Tony will be pleased... Ferrari just won the first Grand Prix of the season
Chance for Nani to get a free kick in the box...headed behind for a corner
Come on United... Berb and Roon almost connect
The Colorman starts talking about United get the calls in box at Old Trafford! When is the last penalty United got at OT... I dunno
oooh, Berbatov heads one just over!! Should have put it in.
Nice move
Come United... you owe this Fulham lot a right pasting!
United starting to turn the screw but still haven't hit the target
Rangers and Dundee Utd drew 3-3. The Glasgow club were 1-0 down and then 3-1 up
ooh... great shot by Roon well saved by Schwarzter.
Knock it off!!
Everton have confirmed that Donovan's loan deal has ended
Man U's next to home games in the league are against Costa and Chelski
Bolton away in between
Bugger... Nani should have done better. He did his Defoe impersonation and was a ballhog
Just past the half hour mark and still no breakthrough!
Roon gets a head on goal but straight at the Aussie
Dempsey has a weaker shot than his first easily saved.
Good to see him back
Nani has been getting the ball all the time on the left. Valencia has hardly touched the ball
Come on Man U
Come on Man U
Come on Man U
Struth!!
Zamora played in by Murphy but he lobs it WAY over VDS's bar
Fulham's only away win this season has been at Fratton Park... don't start winning now
Valencia just touched the ball and it was awful... he has been invisible
Into the 40th minute and still no breakthrough
Berb has a shot blocked... Fulham have just been throwing bodies in front of shots
First booking of the day for Antonio Valencia.... at least he's done something
10 attempt to 5 in favor of the good guys
Still nothing to show for it
A goal before half would be lovely!
Roon hits one just wide
Free kick chance for United on left side of the box
Cleared
Half time comes and it is still scoreless
We need a goal onslaught in the second half
Morning, Dave. Sorry to join you late. Spring Forward always confuses me. Thanks for the link.
Doesn't sound like I've missed all that much.
Well, you're top of the league at least, eh?
Morning Bob
It has been a good match. United have had plenty of chances and possession but Fulham have been dangerous going forward
They've been showing the Bobby Zamora chance from the kick off over and over. He was never going to score that one. Never.
Teams back out. Damien Duff coming on for Simon Davies.
Teams are out for the second half
Duff is on
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ROONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
JUST LIKE WEDNESDAY!!!
GOAL! Well, that was quick. Roon!
YOU BEAUTY!!!!
He was just waiting for me to start watching, obviously. I claim that goal.
Made by Nani... just like Wednesday... I'll take three in the second half just like Wednesday
I'll give you all the credit in the world... can I have more
Keep it tight United... keep it tight
Absolutely.
Interesting comment on the Beeb
Would Darren Fletcher (were he English) be in your starting XI for England in the World Cup? We had a massive debate/argument for hours in the pub last night and are still no further to an answer. Thoughts?"
No. End of debate.
He is one of the first on the teamsheet for United. I think he is better than Barry
Oh - what on earth was that from Nani?!
What a scramble in the box!!
How did Nani score first
Come on United... score a second
The Guardian podcast were commenting this week that this is "a fairly ordinary United side elevated by the presence of one Wayne Rooney." That's my view too.
Danny Murphy thugging it up. Gets a yellow.
Well...of course Darren Fletcher will be in the Scotland XI for this summer's tournament. Oh....never mind.
I know what you mean about United... but they said that about Ronny too. We've survived without him
There's obviously a system that's been devised by Fergie that includes Fletch in the center of things. I have no doubt that he's a key piece of that system. I just think that without those special players around it doesn't work as well.
I want to see Valencia into the match more
Ex Red Greening coming on
It's your old boy Jonathan Greening coming on.
Corner not given and then is!
Come on United... we need another goal!
25 to go
oooh, Vidic hits one just over... nice try!
Acrobatic effort there from Rio.
And now Drac with the acrobatics - well wide.
you were right, rio not vid
You send the end of the debate??? It is still going strong on the Beeb
said not send
What I have to say about this squad is that we don't have the Solskjaer, Sherringham taking over for Cole and Yorke
This is still too close for my comfort
Dempsey trooping off for Erik Nevland.
Dempsey being replaced by another ex Red
Sung Ji Park has had his tradition puppy stew for lunch and is ready to come on.
Park on for the very ineffective Valencia
Off the shoulder effort from Roon.
Zamora clean through - predictable results.
Zamora almost in.... good job Vidic
Come on United... score another
Zamora receives the ball and goes across Vidic. He should have just kept between the ball and defender
Free kick chance... Roon or Nani... come on... hit the target
Nani hits it over
Under 15 to go
This one's in the bag for you, no?
OT pretty quite with 10 to go
Nice run from Evra.
The OT faithful have all picked out their mobiles and are calling the engravers.
I hope you're right but... it is still 1-0
Remember...it's Bobby Zamora up front.
ooh, great run by Fletcher... nice save
Good save, Swarzer.
He's already scored against us this season
I WANT ANOTHER GOAL!
ROOOOOOOOOOOOON!
Great work from Berba.
YES!!!!!!
THANK YOU!!
GREAT PLAY BY BERBATOV AND COOLING FINISHED BY ROONEY!!
Berbatov showed some pace there!!!
He is up to 32 goals!
Neville coming off for Fabio
1515: Rooney is now 10 goals short of Cristiano Ronaldo's magnificent 42-goal haul of 2007-08. Our friends at Infostrada Sports point out that he's just matched George Best's 32-goal haul from the 1967-68 season. Which is nice.
YES!!!
Berbatov scores United third!!
That's what I like to see!!
We have matched Chelsea's goals this week
8 games to go... if we win them all... we're Champions!!
3 added minutes at OT
Roon really wants the hat-trick but both chances blocked as the final whistle blows
Well done United!!!
Top of the league!!!
United held their serve!
Next week
Chelsea away to Blackburn on Monday (I think)
United home to Costa del Pool on Sunday
Arsenal home to West Ham on Saturday(late game)
Adavantage Gooners
Off for walkies
I will be around for the Sunderland Citeh game some of the time
Good morning. I missed the United game. I slept in late. Wasn't feeling well yesterday, but feel much better now. Looking forward to Sunderland vs Citeh. United back on top where they belong.
Teams getting ready to kickoff.
Good morning MUR.... good win this morning
I have the game on the same link as I had this morning. The boys have taken control of the TV
Good morning UWS.We needed that win or we would have been in dreaded third place. I am on Spring Break this week, so I can you for all the matches this week.
I think this will be an open match. Both teams have had a chance. The last time the two teams met was Mark Hughes' last game in charge, an entertaining 4-3 win.
Sunderland take the lead!
FSC are over 2 minutes behind the computer!!!
GOAL!!! 1-0 Sunderland. What a header by Kenwyne Jones. An excellent striker's goal.
I sense a lot of goals today. Not sure why FSC is so far behind.
Sunderland really up for this game. If Citeh lose they will be out of the top four.
Nice pressure by Sunderland . They earn a corner.Cleared away, but they keep possession. Header by Jones much weaker than the goal. Straight at Given.
Another chance to Jones dragged wide. Sundeland with all the nice passing moves. Citeh looking rather predictable.
Shot by Frazier Campbell well wide after a nice long throw flicked on by a Citeh player.
Nearly an equalizer by Barry. Just wide. Citeh have had some promising moves the last few minutes.
Roque Santa Cruz on for Wayne Bridge. Is that tactical or is Bridge injured?
Free kick by Kieran Richardson wasted after a rugby tackle by Micah Richards.
Sunderland take a well deserved half time lead
Halftime. 1-0 Sunderland. Citeh will need to do much better if they want to get back into the game. Excellent performance by Sunderland.
Morning, MUR. Great day for United fans, eh? I'm really surprised at how poor Citeh have been today. They've had two weeks off but they seem so lethargic.
Agreed.Citeh lucky its only 1-0. I slept in late so I missed the United game. We needed this result.
I just hope Citeh play this bad against United at Eastlands
I agree with you UWS. Tomorrow Costa Del sol vs bankrupt Pompey on ESPN 2.
As for the run in, I think all the teams have some tough games. United play some top teams but all but one are at Old Trafford
Here is the run in for the top three
Chelsea
Blackburn A
Aston Villa H
Man Utd A
Bolton H
Spurs A
Stoke H
Costa A
Wigan H
Portsmouth A
Arsenal
West Ham H
Birmingham A
Wolves H
Spurs A
Wigan H
Citeh H
Blackburn A
Fulham H
United
Costa H
Bolton A
Chelsea H
Blackburn A
Citeh A
Spurs H
Sunderland A
Stoke H
Tevez nearly scores when clean through. Well saved by Gordon. Now SWR nearly scores.
I can see Chelsea stroll against Blackburn, Bolton, Stoke, Wigan and Pomepy
Struggle against United Spurs and Costa
Arsenal stroll against West Ham, Wolves, Wigan, Blackburn and Fulham
Struggle against Birmingham, Spurs and Citeh
United stroll against Bolton, Blackburn, Sunderland and Stoke
Struggle with Costa, Chelsea, Spurs (all at home though) and Citeh
Another chance for Citeh. Must have been some halftime talk. Looked at the run-ins. All three times have an equally difficult schedule. Should go down to the final weekend. Key games are United vs Chelski at OT and vs Citeh at Eastlands.
Handbags at the SoL
Some handbags. between Barry and Meyler. A pair of yellows.
Yellows given to Barry and Meyler
Free kick to Sunderland. Obstruction by Richards who has had a difficult day.
These teams just don't want to bury Costa!!
Still 1-0. Sunderland managing the game really well.
If it was up to me I would have Costa buried.
Great save by Gordon off of a Tevez shot
Citeh nearly score. Nice reflex save by Gordon. Some frantic defending. Sunderland need another goal to seal the three points.
Adam Johnson on for SWR. Let's see how this affects the match.
Johnson wins a corner.Poor corner never rose off the ground. Sums up Citeh's day. Tevez well off target.
Sunderland sub. Zenden on for Malbranque.
Corner to Citeh. They are still in it.
Bellamy clean through. Saved by Gordon's feet. Citeh have had their chances this half. Craig Gordon looking like a good candidate for man of the match.
Phil Bardsley on for Frazier Campbell. Almost like a United Old Boys reunion while winning against Citeh. A right back on for a striker. Time to sit on the lead.
Close Bellamy fouls Hutton just outside the penalty area. Now we know why Bellamy is not a defender.
Free kick wasted.
Four minutes of stoppage time. Another save by Gordon. This time from Bellamy.GOAL 1-1. Adam Johnson scores. Nice shot curled in the top corner. Great substitution.
Great save by Gordon off a deflection and then a GREAT goal by Adam Johnson... is he English??
I believe he is.The ex Boro player scoring against Sunderland.
Santa Cruz shoots into the crowd. Time for one more goal scoring opportunity.
Wasted cross by Bellamy.
Game over
Citeh are two points behind Spurs with a game in hand
They are two points ahead of Costa with a game in hand
Take care everyone
UWS
Final whistle.1-1 and a vital point for Citeh away from home at a difficult venue, especially after a poor first half performance.
I will see everyone tomorrow.
