The Bounce Back!
After that humiliating mid-week match against the team that dare not speak its name, the mighty Whites are looking for a big bounce back in the Championship as they travel to the south coast to meet up with old friends Gus Poyet and Kasper Ankergren. I'll miss much of the first half but I'll be around for the second half action. Join me if you're around this afternoon.

I'm back just before kick-off. This link seems to be working but they're playing golf at the moment:

The line-ups for this evening's encounter:
Brighton: Ankergren, Greer, Dunk, Calderon, Painter, Noone, Dicker, LuaLua, Bridcutt, Barnes, Mackall
Subs: Brezovan, Hoskins, Navarro, Vicente, Vincelot
Leeds: Lonergan, Lees, Bromby, O'Dea, White, Snoddy, Howson, Clayton, Pugh, Keogh, McCormack
Subs: Rachubka, Kisnorbo, Vayrynen, Becchio, Forssell.
Brighton start the match in 3rd, so I'd be happy with a tasty point on the road tonight at the Amex.
Sounds like a brilliant atmosphere in the Amex stadium tonight. I'm off to do a couple of errands and will be back by half-time.
Hey Bob,
Best of luck tonight
Sorry I won't be around.... surprise surprise.... I am at one of the boys' games! Today it is Jon, yesterday was Matt, Wednesday it was Tom and Tuesday it was Matt and Jon.
Tomorrow, Tom has a game in the afternoon so I am going to miss the second half of Stoke v United.... phone call please!
Oh my gosh... LEEDS ARE TWO UP!!!!!!!!!!!!
33 minutes in
Link is very choppy but I am not going to change because I have to go soon
Still 2-0 with 10 to go til half
Back to bragging!!
Matt scored on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday. Yesterday, he played so well. He didn't do one thing wrong. Every time he had a chance he put a great cross in and scored and got an assist
As for Tom, his team were losing until he broke and had a one v one with the keeper... he did the exact same move as Torres... rounded him but this time slotted it in
Jon had a couple of assists
I'm done!
The link just popped off the game
I have found a link that works
my premiumtv ... sky sports 1.... stream 2
Leeds have taken their two goal lead to half
Goals were scored in the 18th minute by Keogh and McCormack after 24
Leeds up to sixth as I type
Wow! Hiya, Dave! I'm back from my annoying errands and couldn't be more delighted with a 0-2 lead. I'm still on the same link but may switch to My Premium if it gives me trouble.
All set for the second half then.
Come on, you Whites!
Ross McCormack continues to be top scorer in the division - now on seven goals in the league, eight on the season. Marvelous strike rate. And Keogh has added a second goal. A really dynamic strike partnership building there. I didn't expect it.
Teams are out for the second half at the American Express Arena... does that have the same ring as The Goldstone Ground?
Away we go
Good afternoon BD and UWS. I am here to join you as I have a late conference period today.
Leeds on the back foot from the off. Poyet made one change at half time bringing on Vicente.
Rats, you guys will be both around and I have to leave!
GOAL! Bloody hell - we've been pegged back already. 1-2!
What happened?
Oh Dear.... not good
Afternoon, MUR! Welcome! I feel like I should leave again. We were playing well while I was away. Two minutes in and we've conceded.
It was a Leeds throw and threw it right to a Brighton man
Mikael Smith benefited from a rotten throw in straight to a Brighton player there. Keystone Kops defending as usual from us.
I am off in a few minutes... sorry I won't be around to support your lot Bob
I tihnk Brighton have pulled a goal back and it is now a slim 1-2 lead to Leeds.
The crowd is going absolutely potty now - great atmosphere in the ground. The Amex Stadium doesn't have the same ring to it as the Goldstone Ground but it does sound and look good on telly.
I'll take the 1-2 right now. Blow up, ref!
Corner flag it, lads!
Best of luck Bob...we're off
Come on Leeds!!!
Howson's in trouble now. A wild slog at the player. Should be a card.
Have a good one, mate!
A mad scramble in the box after the free kick. That Mackail-Smith bloke is a real handful in the box.
Long ball stuff from Lonergan again - his distribution really is rubbish.
About thirty five minutes left now then.
We really need to put our feet on the ball now and keep possession but we keep lumping it long for the two strikers.
Giving up a lot of free kicks in dangerous areas now.
Simon Grayson's looking rather concerned. I wonder what he's got up his sleeve this half.
BUGGGGGERRRRRR!!! Penalty conceded by Bromby against Makail Smith.
Terrible decision by Bromby lunging in there.
Ashley Barnes with a short run up and....
Scores! 2-2!
And ominously Barnes ran into the goal and retrieved the ball. We've got half an hour now and the Seagulls have their tails up. What's happened?
And now Andy Keogh has gone into the book for dissent. Lack of discipline there.
We're down to 9th now. Nothing has gone right for us since I got back to my desk.
I am back. I got a call for another tutoring job , but did watch all the action. I was disappointed to see Brighton make it 2-2 from the spot. I agree that it was a terrible decision from Bromby.
You can blame me . I was teaching during the first half.
Oh - Ross is brought down just outside the box. He was flying there. Greer is booked.
Free kick to Leeds just outside the box. Greer comitted the foul.
Oh - McCormack drilled it low across the area. Needed a touch but whistles by the post. Casper just touched it around.
Just wide from the free kick. Tipped by Ankergren.Keogh headed wide from the resulting corner.
A free header there for Keogh but it was well wide. I don't think either defense has shown up. This is wide open. Good response from us though.
I'd never blame you for this catastrophe, mate. It's all down to the men in black and day-glo green.
COME ON YOU WHITES!
25 minutes and change left on the clock.
Thanks!I thought I may have been a bad omen!
Next you host Pompey. I think I will be neutral as UWS likes Pompey.
Time for a change, methinks and Simon does too. Keogh off and Becchio on. Come on, El Torrero - let's have one from you, lad!
Becchio is on for Keogh as Grayson is looking extra firepower from Leeds.
Ashley Barnes is booked for a rash challenge.
Yes - we've had a difficult fixture list to start with but it gets a bit easier for us in the next month with Pompey, Peterboro and Coventry.
That was nasty from Barnes. A deserved yellow card.
I tihnk you have a Friday night game at Donny in three weeks, so I should be around for support in the second half like today.
Just over twenty minutes to play. At this point, I'd take the away point, ta very much.
Nice one. There's an intriguing early match between Citeh and Everton tomorrow morning. Will you be around for that one?
Gary Dicker is booked for what was really a cheap shot.
I will definitely be around. It won't be early compared to today, but I will have some extra strong coffee ready. Jacquelyn now catches the bus at 6:33 , so Elizabeth is up at 5:45 and I am up at 6:10.
It will still be dark outside.
No doubt - I'll need to tuck myself in early tonight.
I will sleep in about fifteen minutes later than I did this morning.
This game has settled a bit, which suits me just fine. Another Brighton lad goes into the book - Painter.
Now Marcos Painter is in the book for Brighton. Lots of indiscipline on both teams.
Fifteen minutes plus stoppage time remaining.
Much better from us, pressing the Brighton back four until they give the ball up. Aidy White swung a super ball over but it was well cleared.
Danny Pugh is the next recipient of a yellow. On his debut for us. He learned that challenge at Stoke no doubt.
Danny Pugh, the former Man Yoo trainee and Stoke player ,is in the book. I think the ref is getting a little card happy.
I thought it was a soft yellow.
Dangerous ball from LuaLua but his ball was too long for everyone, fortunately.
I get to go home in about forty minutes. I will look forward to starting the weekend.
Just a wee bit over 10 minutes to play. I'm reasonably satisfied with an away point.
Me too - I thought I might catch a movie with a couple of friends. It's a really dreary day today - good day to head to the cinema, IMHO.
Another Leeds change as Mika Varynen is on for for debutant, Pugh.
Pugh is off and replaced by Varynen, a player I don't know at all. I think he's Finnish but most of his experience is from the Dutch Eiredivisie.
It sounds like a plan. Melanie has piano practice at 5:45, then the rest of the evening is free.
I remember those days of after school piano lessons well. Good times.
I agree. I might bring some papers to grade while she is practicing.
Decent attendance - 20K+ - we usually add about 5K to that.
Casper does wellto come out of his goal to gather the long ball.
BUGGGGGGGERRRRRR!
Mickail-Smith again. WTF!
I can't believe we've thrown away a 0-2 lead away from home at half-time. I must be cursed or something.
BLOODY HELL! CRAIG MACKAIL-SMITH HAS BRIGHTON 3-2 AHEAD WITH A CLOSE RANGE FINISH. LEEDS WILL NEDD TO COME FROM BEHIND AFTER BEING TWO UP AT HALFTIME.
Come on, lads! Get it back now!
Simon's not happy.
Sorry Bob. There is plenty of time for Leeds to get an equalizer.
COME ON YOU WHITES!
15 goals conceded in eight Championship matches so far. That is tragic defending.
We have to play it to feet. Lobbing it into the box won't help.
Will Hoskins is on for Lua Lua. Leedsa counter with a change as Mikael Forsell is on for Snoddy. Grayson is gong Finnish as the match is reaching the finish.
Oh - Varynen drew a great save out of Casper and Clayton couldn't follow in accurately!
Good response though.
That should have been 3-3 as Casper saved well from Varynen , but Adam Clayton shot the rebound over when he had an open goal.
A lot of Finnish striking power now for us - come on - Viking Power!
Just over a minute remaining plus stoppage time.
Brighton are now by the corner flag to run out the clock.
The Brighton goalscoring hero is coming off to a great reception. He was really dangerous in the second half.
Romain Vincelot is on for Craig Mikail-Smith as we enter stoppage time.Four minutes of stoppage time.
Four minutes of added time now.
Come on, you black and day-glo greens!
Thank you, Casper - he lumps it right back to Lonerggan.
Credit to Ashley Barnes as he slid into the advertising boarding, but got on with it when he could have pretended to be injured to waste time.
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
Ross! 3-3!
Brilliant stuff from Howson to reach that long ball and then pull it back to Ross.
A really vital goal and a vital point!
Yellow card for Ross for taking his shirt off and swinging it about. Silly.
YESSSSSSSSSSSS! 3-3 LEEDS WENT ROUTE ONE WITH A LONG CLEARANCE FROM LONERGAN AND ROSS MCCORMACK FINISHED FROM CLOSE RANGE. HE IS BOOKED FOR REMOVING HIS SHIRT WHILE CELEBRATING.
One more chance, perhaps.
It was a superb assist from Howson.
We do give value for money, don't we. Another game, another seven goals. Wow!
I'm happy with the point - it pulls us up temporarily to 9th place.
The match ends 3-3 and you can tell that Gus looked really disappointed as he shook hands with Simon Grayson.
That's that - a good start to the weekend. I'm off home. I'll look forward to chatting with you tomorrow morning. Cheerio!
I mam happy for you as Leeds slvaged a pint with a dramatic late equalizer. Well done you black and glow greens.
Cheers,BD. I will catch you early tomorrow morning.Leeds are now in ninth place.
