Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

MLS is 3rd most attended spectator sport

The MLS has been better attended than the NHL, and this season breezed by the NBA so that now, it's only behind MLB and the NFL in attendence.

That is quite an achievement. it shows what a great sport association football is. I don't know that it will surpass the NFL and MLB, but you never know.

Holy crap! And I wasn't even watching this season. If the Revvies could ever assemble a decent side, MLS might actually have a chance to take on "America's pastime!"

Significantly, the article points out that the MLS average attendance is roughly half of MLB's so there's quite a ways to go to catch them. And the TV contracts that the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL has are still well ahead of anything that Garber can command for the MLS. But even TV ratings are climbing for the MLS and especially the Premier League in the USA. The tipping point may come yet.
