Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Why couldn't they get two ENGLISH players to make the draw? You couldn't understand the Chinese bloke!
WOULD YOU ADAM AND EVE IT WITH THE MANC DERBY!!!!
The highlights are a Manchester Derby in the Third Round after they thrashed us at OT and defetaed us in the semis. That's the last team we wanted.
This is the second year in a row that we will have a Dahlgren Derby at The EM in the Third Round
I was shocked when I saw a Manc Derby , also a Dahlgren Derby for the second year in a row.
I am not pleased that Budweiser sponsored the draw.
I have a link for Everton vs Stoke
It is www.firstrowsports.tv/watch-everton-fc-vs-stoke-city.html
I miss the old FA Cup!
Again, the Final is not the last game of the season!
Also, I want to complain that Bob is going to be in Belize again!!!!
Where are your priorities!!!
A moments applause for Gary Speed who played two seasons at Goodison.
I have to do some errands. I will try and join when I get back
Celtic won this morning. Only a 4 points behind
TTFN
The Manc derby is absurd for the 3rd Round - should be the final!
I agree. He is missing a Dahlgren Derby AGAIN!
The match kicks off at Goodison
Good Morning BD. Did you see that there is a Dahlgren Derby at The EM for the second consecutive year?
I saw that - not keen on that draw at all. We've had United and now Arsenal twice. I think there's a fix against us at the FA.
It's been all Everton in the opening minutes without having any shots on goal.
The balls must be loaded. Why do wee keep getting Citeh?
Will Gooner see the draw as a birthday present?
How did Bily miss that shot? His volley ended up being a pass to a Stoke player?
Wolves Vs Sunderland kicks off in just under an hour. Neither match is a thriller as the highlight of the day must be the FA Cup Third Round Draw.
Stoke win a corner as Baines is guilty of a poor cross ang Heitinga concedes a croner from a Shotton cross.
GOAL 0-1 STOKE AS WHITEHEAD VOLLEYS FROM A HEADED CLEARANCE FROM THE CORNER AND IT DEFELCTED OFF OF HUTH WHO HAD THE LAST TOUCH AND WILL BE AWARDED WITH THE GOAL, HIS FIRST OF THE SEASON.
Walters fouls Osman just outside the box.
The free kick from Baines is deflected for a corner as he looks to make ammends since he lost possession that led to the Stoke corner.Sorensen catches the everton corner.
Stoke don't score from the corner this time as Whitehead completely misses his kick from the same spot that his shot led to the opening goal
Stoke looking to win at Goodison for the first time since the early 80s.
Sorensen is down injured from the Baines cross as he clashed with Tim Cahill.Cahill is called for a foul , but I didn't see a foul.
There are some final scores from earlier today:
Evil Cardiff 1 Birmingham 0
BD will not be pleased
Dundee United 0 Celtic 1
Someone will be pleased
In the FA Cup :
AFC Totton 1 Bristol Rovers 6
Walters has a shot blocked after a great run.
Sutton United vs Notts County kicks off at noon eastern as Sutton defeated Coventry City in 1989, just two years after the sky blues won the FA Cup.
Etherington wins a corner off of Seamus Coleman
Shawcross headed wide from a Whelan corner.
Stoke move up to eighth place if they win at Goodison. A great way to celebrate making it to the knockout stages of the Europa League.
Baines wins a corner off of Shotton.
The corner is cleared by Sorensen and Marc Wilson.
everton win a corner as the ball bounced in the box and Sorensen saved and it went off of Marc wilson.
Bily is called fro a foul to end the Everton pressure.
Dean Whitehead is down injured , but should be okay.If the Toffees lose then it will be their fourth home defeat of the season after losing only three all of last season.
Tim Cahill just fails to make contact from a great long ball.
Cahill has gone 24 games without scoring, which is surprising for such a prolific scorer.
Shawcross has a header deflected by Timmy for a corner off of a free kick.
Shotton fouls Coleman and receives a lecture from Lee Mason as there will be two minutes of stoppage time.
The Everton fans are upset after Osman was called for a foul on Crouch when Osman fairly tackled Crouch.
Heitinga has a long cross headed out by Shawcross for a corner.Hair Bear heads just wide for the corner , then there are some afters by Hair Bear and Shawcross.Lee Mason lectures both players
Halftime and 0-1 to Stoke at Goodison. The Potters are looking for their first win at Goodison since 1981.
I am back and it is 0-0 at Molineaux between Wolves and Sunderland in their first match without Brucey while Stoke lead 0-1 at Goodison.
Marc wilson is booked for dissent after conceding a free kick.
Steven Flecther thought he gave Wolves the lead with a header , but the keeper caught it right on the line.
Kieran Westwood made the alert catch.
Big Nik heads well wide for Sunderland from a cross.
Andy Wilikinson is on for Woodgate as a Leeds Academy player is subbed. BD will not be pleased.
Sunderland just sacked Brucey and in the opposition dugout is Mick McCarthy who was also sacked by Sunderland. Will he be shown the door at Wolves in the near future?
It is scrappy in both matches. it makes me wonder why I am watching?
Seb Larsson has a long range effort easily saved by Westwood.
Crouch heads well wide from a free kick by Glen whelan.
Westwood catches a poor Wolves free kick.
Larsson wins a corner off of Jarvis.
The first chance of the match as The Orange has a header saved by Henessey from the corner.
Berra tackled O'Shea, another former United player, rugby style from the corner. It could have been a pen, then Steven Fletcher has a shot well saved by Westwood, but he was well offside.
Jack Rodwell is on for Bily.
Sorensen is down injured after a clash with Cahill. Everton players wanted a penalty, but Lee Mason says corner.Begovic is warming up.
The replay shows that it was a fair challenge and Sorensen is okay. everton fans boo.It is actually a throw, not a corner. Now Osman wins a corner.
Sessignon goes down like a sack of potatoes in the box and Phil Dowd in his emphatic style yells no. The correct call.
Velios gets it all wrong with a header from a great Baines cross, then Stoke clear for a corner.Sorensen is down again and the fans are furious.
That should be it for Sorensen as he appears to have suffered a concussion from the earlier challenge. Disgraceful behavior from the Everton fans as he receives stick while dazed. That is highly unacceptable.
Begovic is on for Sorensen in case the Toffees fans thought the big Dane was faking.
Hair Bear and whelan are lectured by Lee Mason. Why Hasn't Hair Bear been booked after numerous warnings?
Denis Stracquilari, the Argentine, is on for Velios.
whitehead is fouled by Hair Bear.
The free kick from Whelan is headed out by Hair Bear for a corner.
ward wins a corner off of Larsson after Hunt headed on. The corner is cleared.
Cahill wins a corner off of Shotton.
Jon Wlaters has to leave the pitch due to a bloody nose.
What a reflex save by Westwood from Jarvis from close range as Wolves should have taken the lead.
Magaye Gauye is on for Tony Hibbert as Lee Cattermole received his customary yellow for a late tackle.
That could have been the lead for Sunderland as a great passing move as Sessignon had shot cleared off the line by Stephen Ward.
Hennessey was beaten
One minute of stoppage time at Molineaux.
Halftime and 0-0 at Molineaux in what has been a scrappy first half in a tense relegation battle, but both sides had a couple of good chances at the end of the half.
Seven minutes of stoppage time at Goodison due to that Sorensen injury.
I am back from the lucky chair , which describes this match, and have found out that Matty Upson was on for Ehterington to waste time and to have an extra defender on the pitch.
Whitehead fouls Coleman outside the box, but a corner is awarded.Begovic catches after some head tennis.
Into the last minute of stoppage time.
Rodwell shoots wide and Stoke win 0-1 at Goodison as it is their first win at Goodison since 1981.A chorus of boos from the Toffees fans.
The second half kicks off from Molineaux.
I'm back for the start of the second half of Wolves v. Sunderland. Bit of a bore fest in the first half. We spent most of it opening birthday presents.
I'm actually okay with the Cardiff v. Brum result. A draw would have been better but I'm still a bit worried about Brum's matches in hand situation. We're in 5th now.
Sutton United vs Notts County kicks off as the teams battle for a third round trip to Donny. THRILLING!
Hello BD. welcome back. As i typed on your fantastic Steve post I really regret that I am not there to celebrate. Perhaps that can be part of the LOB reunion this summer.
A poor finish by Big Nik As Sunderland should change from former Man YOO scrubs to former Man Yoo/ Arsenal scrubs.
The Orange fouls Kevin Doyle just outside the box.
Jaime O'Hara find Row M from the free kick as the rain is pouring down in the West Midlands.
It looks like Eric Black is in charge of the Black Cats today.
WOW!! WHAT A GOAL BY KIERAN RICHARDSON WITH A ROCKET OF A FINISH AFTER SUPERB PASSES BY SESSIGNON AND BIG NIK.GREAT COUNTER AS COLBACK CLEARED FROM A WOLVES CORNER.
0-1 TO SUNDERLAND.
What a vital goal in their first match without Brucey. It seems like a great reaction to Martin O'Neill's appointmnent
Sunderland last won at Molineaux in 1998 with a goal by Kevin Ball when Peter Reid was in charge.
Rpnald Zubar had a shot deflected by Jack Colback for a corner, then Kieran Richardson shoots well over from long range , looking for a second goal.
Richardson is having a great half as he made a timely clearance from a great cross by Stephen Hunt.
A great Sunderland counter by Cattermole and Big Nik is ruined by a poor pass by Ji Don Wong.
Sunderland are starting to take control after a really scrappy first half.
Ronald Zubar is booked for a foul.
Great goal by ex-ManYoo Kieran Richardson. Sunderland just edging Wolves in this scrapper.
Stephen Hunt goes on a run past O'Shea , but the former Man Yoo defender did well to recover and Block Hunt's cross.
Hello BD. There was probably more action opening the presents than there was in the first half of this match and the second half of the Goodison match combined.
Great tackle by Zubar on Richardson as he was through and Hennessey was in no man's land.
A double change by Wolves is about to come up.
Adam Hammill is on for Stephen Hunt.Another former Man Yoo scrub is on the pitch as Sylvain Ebanks-Blake is on for Kevin Doyle. That makes four former Man Yoo scrubs on the pitch.
Ebanks-Blake's first action is to foul Colback. The former Man Yoo players have finally played well and Wolves will be hoping for the same from Ebanks -Blake.
Westwood catches a cross from Jarvis.
El Mohammedy is on for Ji Don Wong.
An obvious penalty as Larsson goes on a solo run and is obviously fouled by ex Black Cat, Craddock.
Larsson to take the penalty.Hennessey saves a poor Larsson penalty and the Black Cats hold on to a one goal lead.
GOAL!!! 1-1 AS STEVEN FLETCHER SCORES STRAIGHT DOWN THE OTHER END OF THE PITCH FROM A SUPERB CROSS FROM MATT JARVIS.
Can you Adan and Eve it as Wolves scored just 25 seconds after that penalty save and just four passes after Hennesey's long clearance?
Martin O'Neill and the Sunderland fans are not amused.
There are actually five former Man Yoo players on the pitch as Bardsley is on for Sunderland.. Wolves now starting to dominate.
Now Sunderland have a corner.
Roger Johnson heads away the corner and Dave Edwards hoofs it clear
GOAL 2-1 WOLVES AS FLETCHER SCORES HIS SECOND.
I am back just in time for injury time
Sorry about not being around
I wanted Sunderland to win this one
Cardiff won today.. shame
Wolves have won
Martin O has a job to do!
Just heard that Sunderland missed a pen!
Take care boys
Talk to you tomorrow
UWS
