Euro 2012 Draw
So, today is the day we find out who plays who in the summer.
Ready for some draw info? Good. The 16 teams will been drawn into four groups of four teams each (Groups A to D). Poland have already been placed in Group A as A1, with co-hosts Ukraine in Group D as D1.The two remaining teams in Pot One - defending champions Spain and Netherlands - will then be drawn as either B1 or C1. With me so far?
Then the teams in Pot Three are picked out, which are Croatia, Greece, Portugal and Sweden. That leaves England to find out their fate last of all as Pot Two is decided. Fabio Capello's men are in amongst Germany, Italy and Russia in the last pot.
Hopefully, I will be able to follow between classes

I agree that the hosts should automatically qualify for the tournament but not #1 seed... especially if there are two!

England's group is not as easy as the Polish group, but we skipped by the group of death and the group with Spain and Ireland.
You're right. It could have been worse.
Cheers, UWS. I was on pins and needles just scrolling through your comments. I'm delighted. No - it's not the doddle that Group A would have been. That's a rubbish group and a half. But I like England's group and I also like the way that the matches fall. The first match is likely to be tight - I'd predict a draw. Two wins against the lesser sides and we're in the quarters. Decent!

Are Spain going to win? Are they going to be like France and fall? NO TEAM has EVER won three tournaments in a row
If England don't win their group, they have to play Spain
If Spain and Holland win their groups and get through the quarters.... they meet in the Final
If England win their group and get through the quarters... probably Germany!
I just had a chance to look at the groups and can conclude that Group A is a joke( a sick joke).Group B is a group of death, but Germany and Holland should qualify.I would love to see Ireland qualify from Group C , but the best they can do is finish third which isn't good enough. Spain and Italy will qualify from Group C. England should qualify from Group D with either France or Sweden , but the group is strong enough so that England will go home early if they play poorly.Even if England win the group, they will probably play Italy in the quarters. As UWS stated they will play Spain in the quarters if they finish runners up. either way I don't see England going past the quarters.Sorry lads. Finally that joke of a Group A where Russia and The Czechs should qualify, but am not sure which of the two teams will win the group.
