Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

An they're off from the SOL and Jonas wins an early corer off of Adam Johnson.
Sunderland clear the corner from Cabaye.
It should be a typically feisty Tvyne-Wear Derby.
GOAL !!!! AND NEWCASTLE TAKE THE LEAD AS A CROSS FROM, BEN ARFA CAM OFF OF MIGNOLET'S FEET AND CAABYE FINISHED EASILY FROM CLOSE RANGE
Hearts lead Motherwell 1-0 at the half.
Nice solo run by Colback, then lays it off for a blocked shot , which lands to Fletcher in an offside position.
Ben Arfa went down like a sack if spuds looking for a free kick just outside the box and Martin Atkinson was having none of it.
Now Ben Arfa fouls Danny Rose just outside the Newcastle box.
The free kick goes straight to Krul
Ameobi is down as he is fouled by Larsson.
Mignolet does well to tip over the free kick from Cabaye.
The corner from Cabaye fails to beat the first man, but goes out for another and it is actually a goal kick

WOW!!!! THE VILE TIOTE IS SENT OFF FOR A NASTY FOUL AND ABOUT SIX TOON PLAYERS SURROUND THE REF AS THE REPLAY SHOWS IT WAS A NASTY CHALLENGE ON STEVEN FLETCHER
At first, it seemed like it should have been a booking, but another angle shows it was a rather high challenge on Fletcher as Newcastle will play the remainder of the match a man down, hanging on to a one goal lead.
Craig Gardener fouls Santon just outside the box as he was beaten for pace.
Craig Gardener fouls Santon just outside the box as he was beaten for pace.
A horrible free kick from Cabaye. what a waste!
Ameobi was booked for a foul on Fletcher about a minute ago. I completely missed it, but David Pleat thought it was harsh
Adam Johnson curls a left footed shot wide after great work by Danny Rose and two blocked shots.
Cabaye receives a lecture as he fouls Colback about thirty yards from goal
The free kick from Gardener goes through a crowd of players and goes just wide.
The free kick from Gardener goes through a crowd of players and goes just wide.
Adam Johnson took Sunderland's first corner that was headed away, then Cabaye was called for a foul just outside the box
Gardener had a shot deflected for a corner that was taken by Larsson and headed away
Now James Perch is on for Shola Ameobi, who goes straight down the tunnel. Was it tactical or is Ameobi injured?
Poor cross by Gardener , straight to Tim Krul.
Now Newcastle win a corner off of Cuellar.
Nice short corner as Cabaye passed it to Collocini on the D , his shot was blocked and a half volley by Ba nearly went in.
High and wide by Gardener from long range
Three minutes of stoppage time
Halftime and Newcastle lead 0-1 at the SOL. The Toon are a goal up and a man down, just like Pleat likes it!
The second half is underway
Morning, MUR - I had a wee lie-in this morning. I'm enjoying reading over your first half comments.
It's about time that Chekh Tiote got a red card - his first in the Premiership after many, many yellows.
Fletcher heads well wide off a cross from McLean
Good morning , BD. Hope you re we;ll rested and ready to go. It was an enjoyable red , and early in the match too.
Great run down the left by Larsson, but his cross was easily cut out
Despite being a man up, I don't remember the Black Cats forcing a save from Tim Krul
Hearts have defeated Motherwell 1-0 and move up to 7th while Well move down to 6th. Hard to believe St. Johnstone is up in second place , only three points behind Celtic.
Cabaye is on thin ice , after numerous fouls, and yet to be booked.
It should have been a Sunderland corner as the Toon headed away the free kick, but a goal kick was given

I'm getting loads of stick on Facebook for Friday's incident with at Sheffield Wednesday.
Sorry to hear that , BD. A shame that one idiot ruins it for everyone else.

Not sure why my comments have double posted
Another striker is added as the unusually quiet Sessignon, is replaced by former Man Yoo and Toon striker, Luis Saha
It's getting feisty as Gardener went on a solo run before going down easily in front of Martin Atkinson. That was never going to be called.
This match seems particularly niggly. Has been been like that throughout?
This has been the pattern throughout the match. I am surprised that Martin played with only striker after the sending off. He just recently put on Saha to partner Fletcher. Lots of industry, but few clear cut opportunities.
Coloccini picks up a yellow card. Larsson hits a rubbish free wide of the mark.
The free kick from Larsson is well wide of the mark.
That is surprising. He should capitalize on Tiote being off the pitch.
The poor free kick have occurred throughout the match
He did not until a few minutes ago. Krul has not been tested since Tiote was sent off, but credit to the Toon for being really well organized.
Krul fumbled a cross from McLean, but recovered before Saha could get to the loose ball.
A furious noise coming from the stands now - great atmosphere!
A rare Toon attack as Ba was put down the right, but showed why he can't cross.
Well, it's clear that Newcastle are not committing any players forward. When Ba was released there, there was only one Magpie available in the box.
That has been typical of the Toon since the sending off. They were the better side before Tiote was sent off.
Ba was through, but Mignolet did well to come out and prevent a second
Gardener has a shot deflected over for a corner.
Now Collocini is down injured with cramp or is he???
Saha put McLean through down the left and his cross was deflected into the side netting off of Simpson. Krul fumbled the corner from Larsson, but Newcastle got it away
Apparently Coloccini will have to come off - Stephen Taylor coming on in his stead.
Steven Taylor is on for the hard working Collocini
O'Shea did well to block that run and shot by Ba. Looks like Demba will be locked on six goals, sharing the GB stakes with RVP.
Newcastle broke through Ben Arfa, but Ba had a shot deflected easily to Mignolet.
I hope Ba doesn't score.
I have to bugger off.I should be back in stoppage time.
Oh - Saha should have buried that one.
GOAL! Sunderland are level in this derby from a free kick. O'Shea nicked it on and Ba nodded home an unfortunate own goal.
1-1!
Oh - James MacLean nearly won it there for the Black Cats.
1-1 in the end, then. Sunderland move up to mid-table, Newcastle stay in the top end. A fair result there on the evidence I saw. A local derby is always going to be tight.
Next up - QPR hosting high-flying Everton at Loftus Road.
Hey Boys
Sorry I am a no show today
I have been running around this morning but still saw some of the game.
The same for the second match too
I'll try and join if I can
Good morning lads. I am back and missed that late OG by Ba that gave the Black Cats a 1-1 draw. Now see that Junior Hoilett put bottom club QPR in front of Everton as Julio Cesar punched away a corner and Hoilett ran the length of the pitch before his shpt deflected in off of Baines.
That goal moves Evil QPR up to third from bottom , behind Villa and Wigan on goal difference. Two more goals without reply moves them ahead of Wigan and Villa.
A slip by Timmy and Tarabbt puts through Traore , but his cross goes across the box.
Mark Hughes said that QPR are bottom due to starting matches poorly. He cannot have any complaints about that today
Mbia receives a lecture for a foul on kevin Marallas. I did not see much wrong with the challenge
The free kick from Baines was lofted in. Jags volleyed it into the ground and straight to Cesar
Two out of three EPL goals today have been an OG and a deflection. Also, the OGs by Roon and Ba show why strikers shouldn't defend on set pieces.
Granero fouls Jelavic just outside the box. It all started with a slip by a QPR defender.
Cesar pushes away the free kick by Jelavisc as Baines moved out of the way
It's been all Everton the last few minutes as it took a great tackle by Nelsen on Anichebe to prevent a great scoring chance.
Now Pienaar is called for a foul on Park just outside the box.
Headed wide by Ryan Nelsen off the free kick from Granero
Granero wins a QPR corner.
Granero took QPR's first corner of the match. it was headed away, but QPR keep possession.
GOAL !!! 1-1 AS EVERTON SCORE OFF A LONG FREE KICK TAKEN BY PIENAAR AND HEADED IN BY DISTIN OFF THE POST AND IN OFF THE UNFORTUNATE JULIO CESAR FOR AN OG
Everton nearly took the lead as Mbia appeared to foul Jelavic in the box, then Jags headed a corner off the top of the bar as he had a free header.
Hoilett wins a corner off of Jags
Hoilett wins a corner off of Jags
Granero played it short to Tarrabt, who played it back to Granero, who crossed for Zamora to head straight to Timmy.
I believe that goal puts QPR back in last place.
Hoilett blasts well over as Zamora laid off a pass.
QPR is bottom, behind Reading on goal difference and one point behind Sotton.
Victor Anichebe is down injured as we enter stoppage time.
A nasty landing as he challenged for a header. That looked a painful one.
Two minutes of stoppage time have been signalled, but I would say it's another two minutes to be added on as play resumes.
Blasted well over by Tarrabt after a superb possession and it's 1-1 at the half. A fair score based on the balance of play.
The second half is underway from rainy West London.
I'm back for the second half from Loftus Road. Honors even in that first half.
Pienaar wins a free kick off of Diakita
Pienaar wins a free kick off of Diakita
welcome back, BD. How have you been today?
I'm good. Paying a little bit for a late night out with friends, but otherwise enjoying the day. Just had a mate pop in for that first half. I'm starting to gather a few friends locally who are not necessarily huge footie fans but are curious about the Premiership.
Great to hear, BD. I went to a friend's house and was supposed to share his beers with him, but brought my own too, so we both drank double what we planned to!
Great solo run by Diakite and a superb cross, but Jags superbly blocked a close range effort from Park.
Now Hoilett is down , causing a break in the action.
Steven Naismith, who signed on a free from Rangers during the summer, is on for Anichebe, who had a nasty tumble at the end of the first half.
They said Pienaar was booked , but I did not see it or why it occurred.
They said Pienaar was booked , but I did not see it or why it occurred.
A long solo run by Hoilett after Coleman conceded possession, but he was well tackled.
The Little Neviller has been booked for a foul
A change of kit for Diakite after that foul by the Little Neviller.
This one smells like a draw to me - not really good enough for QPR.
Pienaar is guilty of a nasty foul on Park while going up for a header. He's already been booked, but receives only a lecture.
QPR will remain rooted to the bottom of the division with a draw, on 3pts from 8 matches and a miserable GD of -10.
Everton will remain if fourth, bollixing up all of our PPP predictions.
It's not as QPR are bottom, behind Reading on goal difference and one point behind Sotton. I could see a late Everton winner as QPR have made a lot of silly errors this season.
Pienaar had been warned already and now he is going off - the second red card of the day.
Now Pienaar is off.as he's guilty of stupid foul and it's his second yellow. He'd already been warned. A stupid challenge on Bosingwa.
Osman headed away the free kick from Granero.
QPR will never have a better chance to get themselves out of the dropzone. Three points today would lift them to 17th on 5pts.
Everton is a surprise package, but deserve their high standing in the table.
Actually , QPR need to win by three or more goals to move out of the drop zone, ahead of Wigan and Villa on goal difference.
Was that foul by Pienaar any worse than that challenge by Mirallis on Granero that went unpunished.
Now Diakite is booked for a challenge on Miralis
Useless cross from Miralis after the free kick.
Mirallis had a shot deflected over by Mbia after a great move down the left
Oh - massive scramble in the QPR box there. Great block from Julio Cesar.
what a save by Cesar off the corner as Distin headed on the corner from Baines and Cesar superbly blocked from Jags. Then Jelavic shot over.
Psycho Cisse came on for Zamora Onuha came on for Traore in tow like for like swaps for QPR
Bosingwa wins a corner off of Miralis
Head tennis off the corner from Granero leads to another corner./
The volley from Granero did not come off from a superb corner from Tarrabt. Then Yank , Timmy , saves superbly from Canuck, Hoilett,. The rebound was shot high and wide by Granero
Park superbly puts Cisse through , but Timmy did well to come out and block with his feet
Park superbly puts Cisse through , but Timmy did well to come out and block with his feet
Cisse nearly in there but the linesman apparently doesn't like his hairstyle. Flagged offside.
Cisse was flagged offside as he was through on goal off a superb through ball.
well stated, BD!
Granero and Park want penalties, but the ref waves play on.
Apparently , Pienaar was not far enough in the tunnel and fourth official, Phil Dowd, had to wave him back in.
Great save by Timmy from that Hoilett curler.
Great diving save by Timmy from Hoilett
Miralis fouls Granero just outside the box.
Taraabt tries to curl one in from the free kick - his form has really fallen off since his goals single-handedly got QPR promoted.
Decent free kick by Tarrabt, but a little wide. I think Timmy had that covered all the way.
Heitinga is on for Jelavic and Anton Ferdinand is on for Ryan Nelsen. It's obvious that David Moyes is hanging on for a draw.
I think Tarrabt has not adapted to the transition from the Championship to the Prem. That happens to lots of players
Bosingwa fouls Osman just outside the box.
what was that. A disgraceful free kick from Baines.
Cisse is offside yet again , off the pass from Onuha. BD claims it's the hair.
Cisse is offside yet again , off the pass from Onuha. BD claims it's the hair.
Miles over from Naismith
Not sure why Julio Cesar wants to waste time. They need three points.
Bosingwa wins a corner off of Distin. Poor cross.
Actually it last came off of Bosingwa for a goal kick
Naismith is flagged offside as Cesar tips his effort over.
Wide by Cisse from a really narrow angle.
This one looks set to end in a draw.
Four minutes of stoppage time.
High challenge by Granero catches Naismith in the face and he is booked.
Strangely - this will seem like two dropped points for both sides.
Agreed, BD. It ends 1-1 and I think David Moyes will be the happier manager.
There it is - thanks for the company this weekend. It looks like a cracking Sunday next week with the Merseyside Derby and Chelski v. ManYoo.
Have a good week, mate!
Cheers, BD. It was great chatting. Have a great week. It should be an exciting Sunday next weekend.
