The Match the Whole World is Waiting For!
There is a lot of hype surrounding this one but is it warranted? Both these versions of United and Real are not the top of the line. Real are miles behind(16 pts) Barca in third place. United are miles (A DOZEN pts) ahead of Citeh but as you know... I have not been impressed with their performances!
Are Real favorites? Is it because of Ronaldo? Do they have much more after him?

Dortmund won their group and outplayed everyone! In the league, they are way behind Bayern and lost at home to Hamburg 4-1 this past weekend after taking the lead!

I'll be back from a tedious meeting around 2pm and settling in to watch most of the match. It's my office hours period so I may have some students dropping by. And I'll be teaching at 4:30. We'll see.

Teams in the tunnel tonight - they seem to be separated by a partition. Never seen that before.
Teams out on the pitch, now. The question on everyone's lips is "how to stop Ronaldo."
I reckon that United have to drop deep and stifle Real. I know that won't make UWS happy but Ronaldo will rip them apart if they play a high line against him.
And we're off - Real getting us underway. Hope it's a cracker.
Early chance for Real - Khedira drags one wide right after some good build-up. Too much space on the left there for Fergie's liking.
Oh - that was dangerous. Real keeper Lopes had to come out of his area and nod the ball away.
Oh - Di Maria made a nice run again down the left and ripped one just wide of Twilight's left upright. Rafa has to pull his finger out soon.
Uh oh - RVP is in trouble here after putting his hand in Sergio Ramos' face. Ramos made the most of it and RVP is booked early doors.
Oh - Cointreau hits the inside of the post and trickles along the goal-line and out. A real let-off for United.
On the replay, it's a poor clearance there by Evra and a brilliant save from Cointreau by Twilight.
Free kick now for Real nodded well over by Ramos. Heavy pressure from the off here.
Kagawa seems to be the lone outlet when United are trying to hit Real on the break.

The Real set pieces have been a bit predictable, lofted toward the big men from the back. Evans heads out and seems to be injured momentarily.
I don't really see the point of Benzema. He doesn't really get into good positions, doesn't get into the box, seems to shoot from distance most of the time.
