The action starts today with a Tyne Wear Derby as Sunderland with a mere point host rivals, Newcastle United. This is concluded by Chelsea vs Man Citeh, a match with possible title implications. There are two other Prem matches and a Championship. We should be well rested due to the time change in Europe, so join me for the action if you would.

Celtic have taken the lead at Partick Thistle, a Glasgow Derby, courtesy of a goal by Samaras.
This is Gus Poyet's first home match in charge of the Black Cats. They desperately need something from this match as they have only one point all season.

Jozy wins a corner off of Tiote as Sunderland have dominated early doors

GOAL 1-0 BLACK CATS AS STEVEN FLETCHER HEADS SUNDERLAND INTO AN EARLY LEAD.
Adam Johnson took the short corner and got it back from Seb Larsson, then his lovely cross was headed home by Fletcher at the far post as he rose above his marker. The first Sunderland goal in the Poyet era.
Sunderland are currently off the foot of the table, one point ahead of Palace.

Nott he best of derbies as each team has only three shots on target with only a dozen minutes plus stoppage time remaining. Lots of passion, but a little short on quality.
