Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

The distinctly low-rent League Cup coverage on BEin has started up now. Anyone else out there?
Torrential downpour now at the City of Manchester ground.
An injury plague means West Ham travel to the Etihad without a slew of first-teamers, though they can at least be expected to field a side slightly stronger than the rabble that was mullered 5-0 at Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
There is also that FA Cup 2nd Round replay between Crawley Town and Bristol Rovers which has some impact on Man Yoo's 4th Round prospects.
Kick off time, then. Come on, you Hammers!
Oh - mad scramble in the West Ham box! Somehow it found its way into Jussi's hands.
When City get the ball, which is often, The Hammers fall back deep into a five-man defenive line with four midfielders in front of the them and Maiga loping around on his lonesome up front. City are circulating the ball quite slowly, searching for openings.
GOAL! Oh - what a strike from Negredo!
A forty yard ball right on Negredo's toe but the Spaniard allowed to drop over his shoulder and then hit it sweetly on the volley into the bottom right corner. Wow!
1-0 Citeh!
On the replay - it's even more impressive. As Rakim would say, "you can't sweat the technique!"
Crawley Town have taken a 1-0 lead, so the dream of a Crawley Town v. United 4th Round match is still on!
GOAL! Citeh go two-nil up through Negredo!
The lay off by Dzeko to Negredo was sublime and Negredo took a touch beyond McCartney and slammed it home past Jussi!
Oh - Dzeko should haev bagged Citeh's third there. Really poor stuff from WH.
It is 3-0 now! Yaya Toure slams home the third after a run from the half-way line.
This tie is down and dusted!
I'm just back from some vigorous shoveling to see Negredo notch his second hat-trick for Citeh.
4-0!
Now it's Yaya with a free kick effort! Not to far from #5.
West Ham have been hit for 5 again! Clichy crosses and Dzeko tucks home from near in.
How long can Fat Sam last!?
Will the Hammers fans be calling for their ticket money back again? This has been abject!
Yaya comes off after completing owning the midfield.
That's the end of Negredo's day - three goals and a terrific performance.
Still time for a sixth goal.
Crikey - it's 6-0!
Dzeko gets his brace - supplied by Kolarov!
Bristol Rovers have equalized late on at Crawley Town to force extra time there.
That's it, then. There is a second leg next week but I'm not sure that the Hammers really want to show up for it. They've conceded 11 in two matches now. And surely Fat Sam needs to walk the plank soon.
Citeh 6-0 winners.
Bristol Rovers has turned it around. 1-2 there and they're surely going through to the 3rd round.
Ruddy Norah!!
West Ham hit for SIX!
Two cup games in four days… Zero goals scored ELEVEN conceded!
I know - I feel rotten for Johnno.
I watched the match this evening. West Ham are in real trouble having been hit for eleven in two cup matches. Citeh have booked their place at Wembley after hitting the Hammers for half a dozen. I feel sorry for Johnno. He deserves better than this. Time for Fat Sam to walk the plank.
