Saturday Morning is the Premiership
I'm up early this morning to see if United can bounce back from their humiliating derby defeat during midweek. It's been a House of Horrors rather than a Theater of Dreams for United fans this season. Can Moyesy turn it around against Villa today? Tune in to NBCSports Network and join me here on the LOB to find out.

Is David Moyes still the chosen one? There will be competing ceremonies today. Inside the ground, a pro-Moyes banner will a draped around the stands. However, a group of United rebels will be flying a plane overhead reading "Moyes Out." Should be interesting.
The team news out of Old Trafford today:
United welcome back Nemanja Vidic from suspension
United: De Gea, Da Silva, Jones, Vidic, Buttner, Fellaini, Fletcher, Kagawa, Mata, Young, Rooney. Subs: Giggs, Hernandez, Carrick, Nani, Welbeck, Amos, Januzaj.
Aston Villa make two changes from the team that collapsed 4-1 at home to Stoke, with Ciaran Clark and Marc Albrighton replacing Nathan Baker and Karim El Ahmadi
Villa: Guzan, Bacuna, Vlaar, Clark, Bertrand, Albrighton, Westwood, Delph, Weimann, Benteke, Agbonlahor. Subs: Bennett, Steer, Sylla, Tonev, Holt, Lowton, Robinson.
Referee: Martin Atkinson (W Yorkshire)
Teams in the tunnel now - not sign of that plane yet.
"I think these fans would have better spent their money by putting it into Darren Fletcher's charity," says David Moyes of the planned fly-by protest. He's more mildly amused than irritated, and is dealing with this whole business in a very dignified fashion.
Warm round of applause for "The Chosen One" as he comes out and plenty still want his autograph.
And we're off - I'm hoping for a big win for United to restore the confidence. And I'm got no love for Paul Lambert's Villa side.
Relatively quiet start to the match - no plane in sight.
Oooh - Rafa fouls Agbon just outside the box. Yellow card.
GOAL! Westwood with a corker of a free kick and Villa are ahead!
0-1!
Very little chance for Twilight there. He got across but the free kick was dipping up and over the wall and then spinning into the top left corner. Got a hand to it but couldn't tip it around.
Now then - what response will we have from United?
Fergie doesn't look happy at all.
That brings Villa up into the top half in 10th now with 37 points. Nearly safe.
Of course, the big match of the day is Arsenal v. Citeh in the late one.
However, keep your eye on the relegation dogfight between West Brom and Cardiff.
Oh - free header there for Clark right out in front of the United goal. Couldn't keep it down.
First decent attack from United. Yashley delivers to the near post and Roon nearly gets a toe on him. Connected with Guzan's bonce instead. The American keeper is down.
"There's only one David Moyes" chants the United faithful.
GOAL! Rooney!!!!!
1-1!
A quick break back up the pitch through Rafa. Mata spread it to Kags who chipped a lovely ball in to Roon and he used the deftest of headers to find the corner.
Good response from United there. Noticeable uptick in the tempo. Let's see what they can do from there.
The commentator has just said that Citeh's win in the League Cup opens another league place for the Europa. So does that mean that 5th and 6th qualify?
Penalty to United! Mata brought down in hte area by Bacuna. Yellow for him.
Roon steps up...and nets it - no problem at all.
2-1 United!
We're back on for the second half now.
Oh - Benteke had a golden opportunity there but blew it and Carrick got back well.
I like Buttner a lot but that was far too heavy a cross.
GOAL! Mata finally comes good!
A bit scambly, and not the prettiest goal you'll ever see at Old Trafford, but the Spaniard needed a goal for sure.
3-1 United!
United now up to +13 GD. Spurs are two points ahead of them but with 0 GD. Could be significant.
Great save, Big Brad, at Roon's feet. Nearly 4-1.
United have run out 4-1 winners, thanks to goals from Roon, Mata and Chicharito. I cannot believe that I was alone for this one - and United finally won one! (sigh)
Switching my focus to the Championship for a moment. Leeds have a big Yorkshire Derby at Elland Road today against Donny.
Here are the teams:
Leeds - Butland, Byram, Lees, Pearce, Pugh, Mowatt, Murphy, Austin, Stewart, Smith, Ross. Subs: Hunt, White, Warnock, Tonge, Wootton, Poleon, Cairns.
Donny - Johnstone, Quinn, Neill, Meite, Husband, Cotterill, Wellens, Keegan, Coppinger, Sharp, Brown. Subs: Turnbull, Furman, Duffy, McCullough, de Val, Robinson, Stevens.
Leicester have run out 0-2 winners against second in the league Burnley - another big step toward the title for the Foxes.
MOT!
Goals flying in in the Championship already. Forest are 0-1 up at the Tractor Boyz.
Blackpool are 0-1 up at QPR.
Reading and Hudders are at 1-1.
Watford have taken the lead against Not a Big Club.
Crikey - West Brom are already 2-0 up against Cardiff - Amalfitano and Dorrans the early scorers there. That would lift the Baggies well out of trouble and mire Cardiff at the bottom.
Oh - Palace nearly take the lead against Chelski.
BUGGGGGERRRRRR!
Donny are 0-1 up through David Cotterill. The misery continues.
Down to 15th now. Bloody Norah!
Derby have taken the lead against Charlton.
Watford are now 0-2 up.
Palace are really giving it a go.
Wow - Bournemouth are 0-3 up at Brum.
Bolton are 1-0 up over Wigan.
Apparently we've had no chances at all in the first half at Elland Road. Not a sausage. Bugger all. How do we feel about our performance - are we at all disappointed? Not at all. As we like to say, "Climb Every mountain, ford every stream..."
Half time in the Prem - Soton are 1-0 up at Newcastle.
Swansea are 2-0 up over Norwich.
West Brom are 2-1 up over Cardiff.
Bloody hell - Donny are 0-2 up!
Down to 16th now with -7 GD. Sigh....
Can't wait for this season to be over.
Back on for the second half after a spirited Leeds United Calypso that left Kate unimpressed.
GOAL! Palace have taken the lead and Citeh fans are smiling!
Trust John Terry to nod home an own goal for Palace.
Watford are 0-3 up at Not a Big Club. Lovely jubbly.
Bournemouth are 0-4 up at Brum - crikey!
Goals galore now in the Championship.
Watford are 0-4 up!
Barnsley have taken a 0-1 lead at Yeovil Town.
Not a Big Club have one back.
So do Brum - 1-4 in both those matches.
Stoke have taken the lead against Hull in another relegation battle.
Wahay - the Calypso worked. We've got a goal back against Donny.
1-2 now.
Of course - it's Ross with his 27th of the season. Amazing!
We need another one, Ross. Ta very much.
Michael Tonge and Aidy White are on for the last period. Austin and Murphy off. Come on, you Whites! I want a point!
Barnsley are 1-3 up now.
Palace are squandering a boat load of chances today but they're still leading 1-0.
Brum are mounting a come-back. 2-4 there now.
Boro are 0-2 up at Brighton now.
Goals flying in again. Derby are 3-0 up over Charlton.
QPR have leveled it against Blackpool.
Palace moments away from a vital win against one of the title favorites.
Palace have completed a historic win - and that's almost certainly given Citeh the upper hand in the title race.
What drama at the Hawthorns - the Baggies seem to have wrapped it up now. 3-2!
What finish to this match and kudos for NBC for catching all of it. Cardiff have equalized!
3-3!
Ole Gunnar Solks is a happy chappy!
I'm back a bit late after lunch with Kate for the big afternoon match. And Citeh are already 0-1 up.
Citeh are ominously now perched on top of the Premiership. That will turn the PPP upside down again.
Nice response from Arsenal. Flamini has it in the net but he had strayed offside.
Eight matches left for Leeds. 47 points gain. In reality we're a win away from safety but we're probably already safe. Barnsley had a big win and Millwall got a point but there are plenty of worse sides than us in the lower reaches.
Good to see both of these sides in their home colors, albeit with Citeh wearing black socks so as not to clash with Arsenal's white ones.
Well then - nasty from Silva on Arteta - yellow from Mike Dean.
Back for the second half now. Arsenal chasing that Citeh goal by Silva in the opening period.
Oh - nearly a second goal for Citeh as Silva breaks down the right and zings a cross over that Sussudio bobbled in front Dzeko. His shot goes agonizingly wide.
Lively opening to this second half.
GOAL! Flamini has leveled it!!!
Great ball over from Gibbs. Flamini scuffed it but it bobbled over Hart and in.
1-1!
So - Citeh drop back down to third and Chelski are tops again.
Arsenal subs are warming up now - Arsene may be going for this.
Fifteen minutes left for these two sides to break the deadlock.
Mad scramble in the Gunners box - just managed to clear it out.
Last minute of regulation time -can one of these sides win it?
Oh - great move from the Arsenal - with Caz spreading it to Gibbs. Cross was a bit too heavy for The Ox.
Arsenal fans will be heartened by this resilient response from their side to the Citeh onslaught.
Peep peep peep! That's it - Arsenal and Citeh have nicked a couple of points off each other. It leaves Citeh two points off the top with two matches in hand. Still odds on for the title but there are still the matches to be played.
Liverpool can go top tomorrow with a win against Spurs.
I'm off to enjoy the afternoon. A bit quiet on the LOB today - I'll hope to catch up with all of you later.
