Capital One Cup - Third Round Live!
Somehow I've carved out a couple of hours in the office this afternoon to follow the evening's Capital One Third Round fixtures live. We already saw some thrillers yesterday, including a 2-2 extra time and penalties win for Liverpool that involved no less than 30 spot kicks! Let's hope for more of the same this afternoon in match-ups such as Chelski v. Bolton and Spurs v. Forest. I'll be around from 2:45 pm EST onward. I hope you'll join me.

As usual Arsene Wenger wiped his bum with the Capital One this season. Here was the starting line-up for the Arse last night:
Ospina, Bellerin, Chambers, Hayden, Coq Au Vin, Wilshere, Diaby, Sanchez, Rosicky, Campbell, Poldi.
He's a disgrace.
We're underway in tonight's ties.
First goal of the night - Brighton have taken the lead away to Burton.
Chelski are 1-0 up through Zouma (whoever the hell he is).
The Baggies are 1-0 up again Hull City. These sides have changed their entire line-up from the weekend. Disgraceful.
Bolton are back in it - 1-1 at the Bridge.
Crystal Palace have a penalty!
Dwight Gayle converts to give Palace the lead.
Half time in the Capital One fixtures:
Burton 0 Brighton 2
Chelski 1 Bolton 1
City 0 Not a Big Club 0
Spurs 0 Forest 0
Crystal Palace 1 Newcastle 1
WBA 1 Hull 0
Citeh are the current holders of this trophy. Here's how much it means to them - their starting line-up:
Caballero, Sagna, Demichelis, Mangala, Kolarov, Lampard, Fernandinho, Navas, Toure, Milner, Dzeko.
Crikey - Citeh have come out with real purpose in the first ten minutes of the second half and have lashed three goals by poor Not a Big Club. Frankie Lamps is on the scoresheet again as is Dzeko and Navas.
It's a rout at the Etihad as Citeh have put five past Not a Big Club. Dzeko with a brace tonight.
Spurs are back in it - Soldado with the equalizer.
Oscar's second half goal has Chelski with their noses in front.
Spurs have got another. 2-1. Soldado again.
So, as it stands, these are the sides that will join the winners from yesterday in the 4th Round:
Brighton
Chelski
Citeh
Spurs
Newcastle
Hull
Citeh have knocked Not a Big Club for six!
Harry Caine has wrapped things up for Spurs. They're 3-1 up.
7-0 Citeh - cor!
The Draw for the last 16
Spurs vs Brighton
Stoke vs Southampton
Shrewsbury vs Chelsea
Bournemouth vs WBA
Liverpool vs Swansea
MK Dons vs Sheff Utd
Man City vs Palace/Newcastle
Fulham vs Derby
Newcastle scored a late winner in ET while with ten men.... gotta go to Citeh
Bob must be delighted that Not a Big Club were hit for Seven at A Big Club on a Wednesday. Citeh were so thirsty that they went seven up.
All seven goals were scored in the second half! Cor! Imagine what the sore would have been if Citeh fielded a full strength lineup.
