More Champions League Matchday 3 Action!
I'm back on Wednesday afternoon to follow more Champions League action. No question about what is the marquee match-up today - Real Madrid's visit to Anfield to play Liverpool. These two old venerable teams haven't met for five years and they're in quite different places now. Real continue to be the Galacticos, with a rampant front line led by Cristiano Ronaldo, while Liverpool without Luis Suarez are a shadow of even their wannabe status last season. Should be a fascinating afternoon. Make sure to join me from 2:45pm onward.

I'm back after an especially tedious meeting to settle in and enjoy the afternoon's CL action.
Here's the team news for this afternoon's match:
Liverpool - Mignolet, Johnson, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno, Sterling, Allen, Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho, Balotelli. Subs: Jones, Toure, Lambert, Manquillo, Lallana, Can, Markovic.
Real - Casillas, Arbeloa, Varane, Pepe, Marcelo, Rodriguez, Kroos, Modric, Isco, Benzema, Ronaldo. Subs: Navas, Khedira, Hernandez, Carvajalo, Nacho, Illaremena, Medran
Real currently sit atop the table with a perfect six point record from two matches. Liverpool are in third behind Basel a three points each but with worse goal difference.
A rousing chorus of "You'll Never Walk Alone" now.
Teams in the tunnel now.
The preliminaries are over with now and we're set to kickoff.
Arsenal will visit Anderlecht tonight in the other match of English interest.
First chance for Balo to get on the ball and he's bundled off it - should have spread it wide to Sterling.
Liverpool's midfield are snapping into the challenges early on. They'll need to.
Dortmund have jumped out to a 0-2 lead with a brace from Aubameyang.
Liverpool working tremendously hard but not creating a lot of chances as of yet.
GOAL! A bit of brilliance from Ronaldo - wow!
It all started with Ronaldo who drove forward and laid it off to James who chipped up a brilliant ball into the area for Ronaldo to run onto. He met the ball with the deftest of touches with his right boot. Sublime!
0-1 Real!
Balo not sharp enough to take advantage of Henderson's through ball. That's the difference.
Nice take down by Balo but the ball through was poor.
Balo's seeing plenty of the ball now but he's not using it well enough. No one in the box for him there.
Oh - Ronaldo ghosted in again and nearly picked out a second goal. He's lethal tonight.
Liverpool really on the ropes now with Marcelo and Ronaldo torturing Glen Johnson down the left.
GOAL! Benzema with #2!
From the corner, it wasn't effectively cleared. It went wide and was chipped in beautifully by Kroos and Benzema had peeled off his man to loop a header over Mignolet.
0-2!
Die has been sent off for Basel. That's maybe some decent news for Liverpool but everything else is going wrong.
Hard to see a way back into this one for the Reds.
The crowd is urging the Reds on and they're doing a decent job going forward but they always look vulnerable at the back.
Oh - for once Ronaldo got free but he didn't convert. He almost had too much time.
Kasami has put Olympiacos 1-0 up against Juve.
GOAL! Benzema has a brace!
This could get embarrassing for the Reds. Roma got turned over by a rampant Bayern last night and the same could easily happen here. Real are on another planet.
Oh - great effort from Coutinho but it comes off the post and back out. That's the kind of night it's been for Liverpool.
And that's the half-time whistle. 0-3.
Back on at Anfield for the second half now.
Adam Lallana is coming on for Balo who had a wretched night to be fair.
Sterling has been pushed right up front now with Lallana pushed out wide.
Oh - James tries an ambitious curler. Just wide.
Liverpool pushing forward through Sterling now.
Lallana was in there but flagged offside.
Koke has opened the scoring for Atletico against Malmo.
Still scoreless between Arsenal and Anderlecht. That wouldn't be a great score for Arsenal.
Oh - Benzema did so well to evade Johnson there but he couldn't find either teammate in the box.
Oh - Lallana played Sterling in but the kid should have hit it first time.
Ronaldo gathers out wide right but then rips one well wide.
Oh - Ronaldo robbed Skrtel there and pulled a great save out of Mignolet.
Oh - a lovely move by Real is only stopped by Mignolet's right leg. Great save!
Two Liverpool subs getting readied. Real have a corner.
Henderson and Coutinho off for Can and Markovic.
Lallana with a nice knockdown from a Gerrard cross but no one was there to run on to it.
Sterling tries one from the top of the box but Casillas tipped it over.
Oh - a mad scramble in the Real box but no one seemed to want to add the finishing touch.
Oh dear - Andy Najar has scored late on for Anderlecht. That's not good at all. They leapfrog the Arsenal into second place.
Mandzukic and Griezman have added two more for Atletico now. 3-0 against Malmo.
Sami Khedira to come on for Ronaldo.
I'm switching over to the Arsenal match now as this one is effectively over.
Oh - Anderlecht nearly added a second there as there were Keystone Kops in the Arsenal defense.
Caz has earned a decent free kick chance now. They have to take advantage of this one.
Oh - Alexis ruffles the side netting with the effort. Close.
Ramos has added a fourth goal for Dortmund in Turkey.
GOAL! It came out of nowhere but Arsenal have equalized!
1-1!
Caz found Chambers out wide right and the kid sent over a lovely cross for Gibbs to volley home. Lovely finish.
GOAL!!!!!!
Poldi has scored a winner!
They've turned it around!
1-2!
Sanchez was at the heart of it, taking down a cross from Gibbs and turning and squaring on a dime. Poldi did the rest, roofing the finish!
Full-time! A real smash and grab effort by the Gunners but they'll go home with all of the points.
They now have six points and cruise to second place in the table.
