They're off from Loftus Road.
CHarlie Austin with as shot in Row M after Bobby Zamora chested down a long ball.
Caulker headed down a long free kick , but Mignolet was on to it.
Liverpool will need to adjust as they have been caught out by two long balls.
Islas wins a corner off of Jose Enrique.
Disgraceful corner from Sandro. Taken short and passed straight to a Liverpool player. What was he thinking?
QPR dominating early doors , but not testing Mignolet.
QPR nearly score Charlie Austin dribbles past two players , the last being SKrtel. Mignolet rushes out to block with his foot then Austin, off balance, the rebound into the side netting.
Will QPR rue that missed chance . Casual defending from Liverpool as Austin got lucky with ricochets off of Glen Johnson and Skrtel before that timely block from Mignolet.
Useless by Balo as Caulker too easily dispossessed him. Superb through ball from Sterling.
Balo has a shot deflected straight to Alex McCarthy, starting his first match of the season. Bob should remember him.
Rob Green is out due to tonsillitis.
OH! QPR nearly took the lead . Bobby Zamora got free down the right and his pass went to Leroy Fer, who shot off the top of the bar from eight yards out, completely unmarked.
It all started with a long clearance from McCarthy . Isla scooped a pass down the right to Zamora , who found Fer, who should have scored.
OH!!! A POOR CLEARANCE FROM SKRTEL OFF A FREE KICK GOES TO zAMORA . hIS CROSS WAS HEADED ON TO THE BAR BY FER AS MIGNOLET MISSED THE CROSS. THE REBOUND FROM AUSTIN WAS CLEARED OFF THE LINE BY SKRTEL.
How are QPR not in the lead? Leroy Fer has twice had efforts come off the bar. Liverpool are riding their luck.
Sandro has a long range effort blocked by Skrtel. a great atmosphere at Loftus Road.
Naughty by Sandro on Loveren.
Sandro wins a free kick off of Emre Can just outside the Liverpool box.
Zamora shoots the free kick several feet over . Liverpool let off the hook yet again.
Just wide by Stevie G off a clever back heel from Balo . He was triple teamed , but still got the shot off.
That's the problem for QPR. As poor as Liverpool have been , they could have been in the lead at the half. A minute of stoppage time.
A poor effort is dragged wide by Balo . Phil Dowd booked Richard Dunne , who fouled Sterling on a Liverpool break, but had wisely played the advantage,
It's 0-0 at the half. QPR dominated , but squandered some really good chances, then Liverpool took the lead just before the break.
Morning, MUR - thanks for starting us off again today. Sounds as if Brendan Rogers problems have persisted today. Liverpool are not the same side this season.
Good morning , Bob. My pleasure. You are spot on. Liverpool have looked like United of last season. QPR could have been up by several goals.
The second half is underway as Matty Phillips is on for for Onuha. Mauricio Isla has gone to right back.
Mignolet did well to push an effort from Sandro around the post after a cross from Matty Phillips was not properly cleared.. QPR keep possession off the corner then Pool break through Sterling and Henderson blasts over off his through ball.
I'm back with brekkies for the second half. Brendan Rogers looking a bit pensive on the bench. Things are not going right for him.
Isla wins a corner off of Jose Enrique.
Well done mate. Correct. Liverpool have looked really flat against one of the worst sides in the Prem.
Karl Henry bundles Henderson over there - it just seems as if QPR want it more than Pool today.
Why did Phil Dowd stop play? It's not a head injury. Henderson holds his shoulder , but he got straight back up. It was a fair challenge.
Correct, Bob. I thought it was a fair challenge by Karl Henry.
Glen Johnson has a shot deflected straight to Alex McCarthy. Bob will be all too familiar with him.
Oh - Charlie Austin nearly nipped in with a goal from an acute angle. QPR are knocking on the door.
I do remember Alex McCarthy - one of many who slipped away from LUFC in the middle of the night.
Useless pass from Sterling. Definitely not a Sterling pass.
He's starting because Rob Green has tonsillitis. Harry should keep him as the starter.
It appears that Armand Traore may come on for the injured Sandro. That is the case as Sandro gingerly trudges off.
Traore on now for the last half hour - not sure of the point of that from Harry.
The through ball from Can was just too long for Henderson and made it to the keeper that Bob remembers.
The commentators are really on Balotelli's back.
Oh dear - what a miss by Balo!
OH! Balo copies QPR by missing a sitter. Sterling put through Lallana and his shot was superbly saved by McCarthy, Balo shot the rebound well over . Even Bob and I could have scored from that chance.
I reckon that Sparky could have shinned that one in.
A double change from Brendan. Coutinho on for Lallana and Joe Allen on for Can Not. Why bring on Joe Allen if you need goals.
Definitely. He would have gobbled that up.
GOAL! O.G. by Richard Dunne!
Quick thinking by Sterling in the free kick to Johnson who squared it and, well, no Liverpool striker was going to score, were they?
0-1!
Trore fouls Sterling just outside the box and Liverpool take the lead against the run of play. Sterling took a quick free kick to Glen Johnson and his pass was diverted into his own net by Richard Dunne. Good pressure by Balo.
I think Balo pressured Dunne into that OG.
That OG was not very Well Dunne.
Glen Johnson booked for a block on Traore. Good position for a QPR free kick.
The free kick is lofted in , headed away by Loveren, and easily cleared.
Henderson plays Balo in and the striker crumples to the floor. Phil Dowd's not impressed.
Never a foul on Balo. Great tackle on him by Dunne.
Oh - Mignolet does well from the shot by Austin.
Great save by Mignolet from Austin , then cleared away.
Great block by Jung from Balo after great footwork from Sterling and Coutinho. Nice pass from Stevie G.
Traore fouls Glen Johnson.
A poor free kick goes straight to McCarthy .
Surely time for a change for Harry.
Zamora trudges off for Vargas.
Eduardo Vargas is on for Bobby Zamora.
Karl Henry gets his requisite yellow card for barging Joe Allen over.
Karl Henry with his requisite booking for a naughty challenge on Joe Allen.
Now it's Skrtel into the book for a rash kickout.
Snap, MUR!
Martin Skrtel down , clearing the free kick from Fer.
Ta. Well Dunne!
My brother is a Pool fan and today is his birthday. It was Well Dunne of Dunne to think of him on his birthday. A thoughtful , considerate lad.
Oh - Mignolet saves directly from a header by Traore.
Great save by Mignolet off of Traore off a back header from Skrtel off of head tennis. The corner is cleared.
That is quite a birthday gift for your brother.
Great save by McCarthy from Balo.
The yellow cards are really flying now.
Coutinho is booked for time wasting.
GOAL !!! 1-1 VARGAS TIES IT UP FOR QPR. WHAT A TIME FOR HIS FIRST PREM GOAL.
GOAL! Supersub Vargas pops up with an equalizer.
Poor defending from Pool . A cross from Vargas was headed on by an unmarked Austin then thrashed in from close range by an unmarked Vargas. It all stemmed from Coutinho giving away an unnecessary free kick.
Oh - almost a carbon copy of the move for the goal there but Skrtel cleared away.
Skrtel with a timely clearance to prevent a late winner. They have a corner.,
GOAL! Coutinho has won it for Liverpool!!!!!
Great break there through Sterling to Gerrard and Coutinho jinked inside and scored. Bit of a deflection on the shot as well.
1-2!
GOAL !!!! COUTINHO MAKES AMMENDS ON A BREAK OFF A QPR CORNER.SUPERB BREAK FROM STERLING HE FOUN D STEVIE G , WHO PICKED OUT COUTIONHO AND HIS EFFORT DEFLECTED OFF OF CAULKER AND LANDED IN THE FAR CORNER . 1-2 TO POOL. FOUR MINUTES OF STOPPAGE TIME.
GOAL! Oh my - it's Desmond!!!!!
GOAL !!! DESMOND. WHAT A FINISH.
Oh - Balo nearly won it again for Pool. Wow! What a finish!
It appeared that the corner from Fer went in for an unfortunate OG off of Joe Allen despite the celebrations from Vargas. Vargas is credited with the goal/.
GOAL !!! IT THINK POOL WIN IT 2-3. IT WAS A BREAK OFF A QPR FREE KICK HEADED AWAY . STEVIE G FOUND STERLING WHOSE PASS DIVERTED IN FOR AN OG OFF OF CAULKER.
GOAL! Another own goal!!!!!!!
Sterling again is the architect, but it's Stephen Caulker who prods it home. Harry will be pissed!!
What a madcap finish there at Loftus Road.
It finishes 2-3 to Pool as they did not have enough time to blow the lead.
Will this be Harry's last match in charge? There was talk of Tim Sherwood replacing him if QPR lost today.
QPR still stuck on the bottom after all of that drama. A point might have pulled them above Burnley and a win would have put them level with Newcastle.
Liverpool meanwhile rise to 5th ahead of United's match with the Baggies tomorrow.
The Free kick from Fer was headed away by Loveren and made it to Coutinho who found Sterling and his cross was diverted in for an OG by Caulker. Should QPR have corner flagged it and taken the draw?
Probably so, mate - but both teams to their credit went for the win.
Off to the Britannia now - here's the team news:
Stoke
Begovic; Bardsley, Shawcross (c), Wilson, Pieters; Nzonzi, Adam; Diouf, Ireland, Moses; Crouch. Subs: Sorensen, Muniesa, Walters, Cameron, Sidwell, Assaidi, Bojan.
Swansea
Fabianski; Rangel, Fernandez, Williams (C), Taylor; Carroll, Ki, Sigurdsson; Dyer, Routledge, Bony. Subs: Tremmel, Bartley, Shephard, Fulton, Montero, Emnes, Gomis.
Referee: Michael Oliver.
Back for the late match: Stoke vs Swansea. An English club with a Welsh manager against a Welsh club with an English manager.
They're off from the Brittania.
Swansea get us underway in the late one.
Nice ball in by Charlie Adam but Flappy smothered it well.
Nathan Dyer is down, holding his head after an awkward challenge with Marc Wilson.
Oh - Siggy was in there from Routledge but he took a heavy touch around Begovic and the chance was gone.
A chance for the Swans to take the lead . Routledge did well to control a long diagonal pass. he superbly played through siggy, who rounded Begovic, but shot wide from a very acute angle,
OH !! Ki was through and his shot was blocked by Begovic after being superbly played through . Nice one touch passing from Swans. It was Ki to Boni then a back heel from Siggy to Ki.
Stoke then went straight up the other end and a long range effort from Charlie Adam was not too far off.
Charlie Adam tried a chip from fifty yards out, but it was well over.
There's nothing like Charlie Adam's ambition, is there?
Swansea definitely taking the match to the home side.
Great singing coming from the away Swansea support.
Yes. It was definitely ambitious. I guess it's worth a try. A great start by the Swans trying to win their first ever Prem match at the Brittania.
Definitely an achievement , considering the partisan home support at the Brittania.
Here's how the game has changed. Charlie Adam appears to be wearing traditional black boots - and they look strange to me!
Will Swansea's passing be the Ki to an important away win today?
He's definitely retro and traditional today. Well done Charlie Boy. He's no Adam Ant!
Pieters trips dyer . It may be just too far out for a direct shot on goal.
Siggy over a free kick now...wasted.
An unusually poor free kick by Siggy.
Neil Taylor catches Stephen Ireland and the home fans are none too pleased. I didn't think it was too severe.
Stoke maintain possession off the free kick from Charlie Adam then a poor final ball from Victor Moses.
Oh - Crouchie had a chance but Williams blocked it on the floor.
Great passing by the Swans and a great through ball from Siggy, but Routledge lost his balance.
Tom Carroll heads a cross from Routledge up into the air and into Begovic's arms.
Poor long range effort from Dyer is easily blocked.
Stoke would have had a great chance , but for a poor pass from Stephen Ireland. a few years ago he was spot on in those situations.
Oh - Ireland should have had a go there. I don't think the Stephen Ireland who was at Citeh would have let that chance go.
I love to see the strength of Siggy when he's on the ball. He's really hard to shrug off.
Oh - Diouf nearly bundled his way through to the Swansea goal.
Great defending by Neil Taylor as Meme Diouf was in a great position to score.
Agreed, Bob. Siggy is no shruggy.
Swansea win a corner. Taken by Siggy.
PENALTY AND A BOOKING FOR SHAWCROSS. Definitely a penalty as Shawcross did a textbook rugby tackle on Bony. More refs need to call those.
What was that? The referee has given Swansea a penalty! And Shawcross a yellow!
On the replay - I can't fault the ref. That's the sort of thing that happens at every corner and it's high time that refs punished it. A clear foul there.
Bony to take....
A scores with a cheeky Panenka effort. Stoke fans won't like that at all.
GOAL !!! BONI SCORES FROM THE SPOT , SENDING BEGOVIC THE WRONG WAY. HE WON THE PENALTY AND SCORED.
Sparky shakes his head but he can only fault his defender for that one.
Stoke fans are furious, but it was the correct decision. Kudos to the ref for making a decision that needs to be made far more frequently. Shawcross has got away with those over the years and needs to put a stop to this. Perhaps he can't properly defend on set pieces and may be compensating.
Swansea up into the Champions League slots again - that's going to cause havoc in our PPP game.
That should have been another penalty as Pieters took a cheap shot on Boni. Stoke fans are livid , but they should be upset at their back four.
I agree with you, mate. If refs were more consistent in blowing up for that nonsense, it would stop.
I think United go into a CL slot if they win tomorrow.
Great trickery by Moses as he does well to pick up Charlie Adam , whose first time shot is straight to Flappy. Moses to Adam sounds really biblical.
Great tackle by Fernandez on Nzonzi . Never a penalty. Then Pieters fouls Siggy in midfield.
Another penalty - this time for Stoke!
PENALTY STOKE AS IT WAS A DEFINITE TRIP BY ANGLE RANGLE ON VICTOR MOSES . A DESERVED BOOKING FOR RANGEL.
That looked rather soft to me - Moses went down really easily and perhaps that was a make-up call in Michael Oliver's eyes.
Charlie Adam up to take....
And scores! 1-1!
Stoke fans happier with the ref now.
GOAL !!!! 1-1 AS CHARLIE ADAM SLOTS IT IN THE CORNER JUST OUT OF THE REACH OF FLAPPY.
Great block by Ashley Williams from Moses then well over by Crouchie.
I thought it was a definite penalty. A trip by Rangel on Williams as he got in a wrangle by miscalculating the angle.
I thought it was a definite penalty. A trip by Rangel on Williams as he got in a wrangle by miscalculating the angle.
Two minutes of stoppage time.
A Tale of Two Penalties given by Michael Oliver.
Bardsley has just talked himself into the book.
Bardsley picks up a late, late yellow as the half winds down. A lot of passion and commitment in this one but not a lot of quality beyond the play of Siggy for Swansea and Moses for Stoke.
Pieters has nearly talked himself into the book.
Stoke fans booing Michael Oliver off now - I don't know why. The Stoke penalty was definitely the softer of the two.
It's 1-1 at the half as it's a tale of two penalties and some disgruntled home fans.
I thought they were both definite penalties. Both stupid challenges.
The two goal scorers are sharing a laugh as the second half is about to begin.
There is a delay for whatever reason. It was something to do with Nzonzi and now they are underway
Much ado about nothing?
Naughty by Marc Wilson on Boni.
The passing has been really poor this half.
Moses down from a challenge by Rangel . It looked a foul but nothing given.
Pieters tripped by Ki just outside the box off a great solo run.
A delay because Michael Oliver forgot the spray, to the amusement of the Stoke fans. The free kick by Charlie Adam was just about cleared then high and wide by Bardsley from long range.
David Moyes along with Baggies boss, Alan Irvine , who was Moysie's assistant at Everton.
A long range effort from Charlie Adam was always rising.
A double substitution for Stoke as Jon walters is on for Meme Diouf and Geoff Cameron on fdor Stephen Ireland in his first Prem appearance of the season. The American international has been out due to a hernia operation.
Back from enjoying a bite of lunch for the last half hour or so. Double change for the Swans coming.
Swansea counter with their own double substitution. . First a Swansea corner . The corner from Siggy is headed away as Stoke break . Moses foinds Adam . Nothing biblical, then Ashley Williams clears for a corner.
Oh - how did Stoke miss that opportunity!?
Crouichie misses a free header at the far post off a corner from Moses. He usually tucks those away
Montero for Dyer and Marvin Emnes for Tom Carroll to match Stoke's double substitution.
Gomis and some Ecuadoran bloke named Montero coming on for Swansea now.
Pieters fouls Routledge. Siggy to take. Head tennis in the Stoke box and an outstretched Ki cannot make enough contact to trouble Begovic.
Oh - Ki had two bites of the cherry there and couldn't find the right finish.
Was it Gomis instead of Emnes. I know Jefferson Montero played in the World Cup for Ecuador.
How was lunch. Mine will be at the conclusion of this match.
Ki hasn't unlocked the Stoke defense.
Pieters heads out a cross from Jefferson Montero for a corner. Great run down the left. Siggy takes and it's headed away by Crouchie.
Flappy doesn't as he superbly catches a tricky cross from Marc Wilson off a nice run and pass by Charlie Adam
Assaidi on for the injured Victor Moses. The final roll of the dice from Sparky . Hughes that is.
Lovely lunch, mate. I'll be off to do some errands at the conclusion of this one.
A horrible foul by Boni on Nzonzi and deservedly booked.
Will you be around tomorrow and for the Champions League matches?
GOAL! Walters fires Stoke into the lead. His first of the campaign!
GOAL !!! 2-1 STOKE AS TWO SUBS COMBINE WALTERS SUPRBLY HEADS IN A CROSS FROM aSSAIDI
I should be - I'm looking at my schedule right now.
This goal was typical of the new Stoke.Cameron did well to win the ball of Boni in midfield . He passed to Nzonzi , who passed to Crouch , who passed to Adam , who found Assaidi, who crossed for Walters. Several Liverpool old boys involved with the goal.
I'm looking at mine too. The best bets are the second half of the United match and the second half on Wednesday.
Walters' header fires Stoke up to 10th now and well out of the trouble they were in this morning.
Swansea slump down to 9th. What a difference a couple of goals make. Now it's Chelski, Citeh, Soton and West Ham in the CL spots. Liverpool and United in the EL spots.
Tomorrow looks okay for the first half, maybe part of Tuesday's CL matches. Wednesday is my best day.
We're away to Wolves on Tuesday.
Bardsley is down . If he can't continue then Stoke will be a man down the remainder of the match since they have made all three substitutions.
Inside the last ten minutes now - can Stoke hang on for an improbable win?
Aren't you away to the Canaries , who used to be LUFC South?
Charlie Adam wins a corner.
Oh yeah - you're right it's Norwich in midweek and Wolves at the weekend. Tough schedule.
