Bob will be interested to note that the Argies vs Brazis was televised earlier this morning on BEIN. The match was played in Beijing and it was 2-0 to the Brazis. Diego Tardelli with both goals.
The teams are heading out of the tunnel at Hampden Park and all the pomp and circumstance from Dublin.
Groups D, F,and I are in action today. Some matches kickoff at noon and some at 2:45
Gibraltar, which consists of players from their domestic league and English non league clubs should be handily defeated in Dublin. The Jocks face a sterner test vs Georgia.
I stand corrected . Gibraltar also have player playing in the Welsh Premier League. Martin and Roy Keane will be terrified!
They're off from Dublin.
And from Hampden Park. Kickoff delayed due to a moment's applause. I'm not sure why
Now they're off from Hampden
Horrible cross from David Meyler. Gibraltar , predictably playing like San Marino
Wes Hoolihan heads well wide from a great cross by McGeady
Robbie Keane is flagged offside.
Robertson wins a Jock corner off a pass from Anya.
GOAL !!! ROBBIE KEANE GIVES IRELAND AN EARLY LEAD. HOOLIHAN FOUND MC GEADY ON THE RIGHT , UNMARKED, AND HE PASSED FOR ROBBIE KEANE TO SLOT HOME , UNMARKED, FROM CLOSE RANGE. AN EASY TAP IN.
I don't think Gibraltar have even completed a pass. They're are really looking desperate!
Great close range save from Jordan Perez from McClean off a shot from McClean, then the Irish were appealing for hand ball off a blocked shot.
he replay showed that it was ball to hand off of Joseph Chipolina.
A cagey start at Hampden with the Jocks having the lion's share of the possession.
Gibralatar's star player must be right back, Robert Wiseman, of Preston. Another player plays for Farsley in the 8th tier of English footie.
GOAL !!! EASY PEASY . ROBBIE KEANE GOT BEHIND THE GIBRALTAR DEFENSE AND FINISHED EASILY PAST THE ON RUSHING jORDAN pEREZ. nICE CHEST CONTROL AND LOVELY THROUGH BALL FROM WES HOOLIHAN

PENALTY !!! JORDAN PEREZ TRIPPED WES HOOLIHAN AFTER ROBBIE KEANE HAD A SHOT BLOCKED.
GOAL !!!! ROBBIE KEANE WITH A HAT-TRICK AS HE SENT JORDAN PEREZ THE WRONG WAY JUST SEVENTEEN MINUTES IN.
Robbie Keane has just broken Hakan Suker's record of most goals in Euro qualifiers. His other hat-tricks were against San Marino and the Faroes.
Ireland's record Euro qualifying is 8-0 vs Malta in November 1983. That record may be in jeopardy.
The Jocks win a corner.
Head tennis off the corner then a volley from Jim Morrison finds row z.
A clumsy foul on McGeady and the referee is lenient on the Gibraltarian defender.
Perez fumbles a cross and a defender clears for a corner taken short and McGeady is well tackled.
A pass from Reynolds is just too long for Steven Fletcher and a pass from McGeady was a whisker too long for Robbie Keane , looking for a fourth as he collided with Jordan Perez.
Afternoon, mate - thanks for getting us started. How's it been so far?
A corner from Sean Maloney is wasted as the ball goes out of play
Goof afternoon, mate. Ireland three up vs Gibraltar thanks to a hat-trick from Robbie Keane and 0-0 in all the other matches,

A rare Gibraltar attack and their lone striker is easily dealt with by John O'Shea.
Naismith has a shot deflect to the Georgian keeper and Jordan Perez saves from McGeady at the near post.
A bit comical from the Georgians but they all count. I reckon the Jocks have a decent chance of making France 16 with the new structure.
Naughty foul from Grant Hanley.
Georgia can swing a free kick in now.
OH! Inches wide from Wes Hoolihan from long range.
I saw your earlier comments about Brazil. I see that it's been all change for them, bringing Ronaldinho and Kaka back into the fold. I don't see how that's going to change things for the better.
Jim Morrison booked. He may lose his gig with the doors.
Diego Tardelli is a Brazil based striker for Athletico Mineiro.
Leo Messi also missed a pen in that match.
I agree Bob. The Jocks have a chance. Second place will be between Scotland , Ireland , and Poland. Third place place will make the playoffs and the odd one out will be at home watching.
He did, but it was a farcical penalty. Never should have been awarded.
Oh - a better touch from Naismith when Maloney played him in and the Jocks might have been two up.
I didn't see Ronaldinho. Kaka got a late cameo at the end. It may have been for marketing purposes as the match was played in Beijing.
Talk about comical. You should see Gibraltar on ESPN3.com.
A German win in Warsaw later this afternoon will be good news for the Jocks and Irish.
Oh - Scott Brown should have hit the target there. Deflected out for a corner.
OH! Just wide by Scot Brown. The Jocks are well worth their lead. It's a corner. Taken by Maloney and now he has it The Jocks still have possession.
Oh - now it's Anya who's inches away from connecting on that Brown cross.
Anya just fails to make contact from a cross by Maloney , but the offside flag is raised.
The Irish have taken their foot off the gas since going three up.
Allan Hutton has a pass cut out for a corner.
The Georgians have a rare attack off the Jock corner and David Marshall does well to come out to gather a through ball.
Steven Fletcher heads over from a cross by Robertson, not John.
I'm not surprised. They really don't need to run up a cricket score.
Gibraltar vs Georgia on Tuesday. Please don't make me watch that.
That is true. I thought they would early doors.
That could be really dire.
No stoppage time at Dublin as Ireland lead 3-0 thanks to a twelve minute hat-trick from Robbie Keane,.
Maloney with one that heads toward Row Z - Wee Gordon didn't fancy it much.
Romania take the lead vs Hungary in first half stoppage time.
And one minute of stoppage at Hampden.
Armenia vs Serbia is 0-0 at the half.
Scott Brown getting close to a yellow card there.
The Jocks are deservedly one up at the half. The Romanians are also one up , but vs the Magyars at halftime.
And that's half-time - the Jocks go in one up through that comical o.g.
I won't be around for the late matches today, but will be around for all the action tomorrow.

The second half is underway from Hampden Park as Ketsbaia made a halftime sub for Georgia,.
The Jocks get us underway in the second half now.
GOAL !!!5-0 IRELAND GO FIVE UP IN REALLY COMICAL CIRCUMSTANCES. ROBBIE KEANE MISSED A SITTER THAT CAME OFF OF JORDAN PEREZ, THEN WES HOOLIOHAN HAD A SHOT CLEARED OFF THE LINE BY ROBERT WISEMAN THEN IT WENT IN OFF THE UNFORTUNATE JORDAN PEREZ FOR AN OG.
GOAL !!!! THE IRISH GO SIX UP AS ROBBIE KEANE HAD A SHOT COME OFF OF JORDAN PEREZ AND JAMES MCCLEAN EASILY SLOTTED HOME THE REBOUND.
Sounds like an episode of "It's a Knockout" in Dublin this afternoon. Cor!
So that's a dozen conceded by the Gibraltar lads in 120 minutes of international football.
Alan Hutton wins a free kick that is caught by the Georgian keeper. The Georgian defender was booked for the nasty foul.
Gibraltar need to learn something about parking the bus from the plucky Georgians who are still in this one despite being under the cosh for much of the match.
GOAL !!! THIS IS BECOMING BLOODY RIDICULOUS AS WES HOLLIHAN PUTS IRELAND SEVEN UP. HE WALKED UNCHALLENGED PAST THE GIBRLATAR DEFENSE AND SLOTTED HOME PAST THE HELPLESS JORDAN PEREZ.
Gibraltar has their captain substituted as the aptly named Santos is on in his place.
Anya is fouled and another Georgia player is booked.
Make that 14 in around 150 minutes.
Gibraltar knocked out cold. Sven down for the second consecutive qualifier. That's fourteen in just over an hour.
Will the Gibraltarians kick my ass if I remind them about the terrible teens.
A n odd change as Jordan Perez , the Gibraltar keepr is replaced and receives an standing ovation from both sets of fans.
Do they seem like a scrappy lot?
Morrison trying to "break on through to the other side" there. Sorry - early Doors reference got me thinking.
It gets crazier in Dublin as Gibraltar win their first corner and David Forde had to make a world class save off a header from Joseph Chipolina from a corner by Liam Walker. Forde caught the next corner.

When do the Irish play Germany - on Tuesday?
The thirsty Irish are seven up. If they score one more, Gibraltar will be thinking that eight is enough
Yes. That is correct, mate
The final roll of the dice from Martin as Robbie Brady is on for Steven Ward
Surely the Gilbraltar lads have nine lives?
That should make for a relaxing afternoon in the office for me.
Steven Fletcher took too long to shoot and had a shot blocked then Sean Maloney was booked for a foul.
BOOM BOOM! I bet a tenner that Gibraltar will be thrashed.,
It sure will . I will try to be around for the action Tuesday. Definitely tomorrow and Monday
Gibraltar need to do their homework. Surely , there are Football league players of Gibraltan descent. They would be a far more competitive side.
The improving Armenians take the lead vs Serbia and won in Lisbon in their previous qualifier. They nearly qualified for the last World Cup. Don't be surprised to see them in France the summer after next.
Georigia win a corner as do Ireland.
Daryl Murphy heads wide from the corner as do the Georgians.
Bob, you may be interested to know that Gibraltar play their home matches in Algarve, Portugal. Their national stadium does not meet FIFA standards , but they are in the process of having a stadium constructed that does.

OH! Naismith drags a close range effort well wide off a cheeky back heel from Steven Fletcher.
Wee Gordon not pleased.
McGeady wins a corner off of Chipolina.
Daryl Murphy heads straight to the sub keeper off the corner.
Marc Wilson clears for a Gibraltar corner that is headed away then the return pass is straight to Forde off a mix up with John O'Shea.
That is interesting. Definitely puts the Gibraltar lads at a disadvantage playing away from home.
The Irish don't look too thirsty despite being seven up.
Good point, but would they really have a partisan crowd at home? I'm not sure.
It should have been 8-0 as Daryl Murphy headed sideways from close range.
Steven Fletcher has a close range effort well saved then the rebound is cleared for a corner.
Oh - Morrison was in there but hit the keeper with his effort.
Robba saves well from a close range header from McGeady,
Ireland have out shot Gibraltar 23-3. That's not a surprise.
Jamie Robba had to dive full length as a chested back pass from Chipolina could have gone in for an OG.
Two minutes of stoppage time in Dublin.
A late Irish corner.
Jamie Robba fumbles the corner from Robbie Brady out, but somehow, a goal kick is given
It's over in Dublin as the Irish win 7-0. No rockin' and rollin' from Gibraltar.
Chris Martin wins his first competitive cap for the Jocks as he is no for Anya, who gets an ovation.
Serbia tie it late on in Armenia.
The Magyars do the same in Romania.
Martin on for Steven Fletcher, not Anya.
Into stoppage time at Hampden Park. Four minutes for the Jocks to hold on.
I guess the rock of Gibraltar does crumble, eh?
Chris Martin wins a free kick near the corner flag despite being triple teamed.
The Jocks look as if they'll end up with a deserved but narrow win here. On to the next one, eh?
Yes . To smithereens.
Yes. That is the correct course of action.
The Georgians don't look anxious to press forward at this point. They should be pumping it into the box to see if they could nick an equalizer.
It finishes 1-1 between Armenia and Serbia and the same final score between Romania and Hungary
I agree. They will start with a loss at Hampden and at home to Ireland.
It's over and the Jocks deservedly win as it finishes 1-0.
That's it for me. I have to run a much needed errand. I will be back tomorrow to watch Estonia vs England on a link at high noon. Cheers mate.
Off to rake some leaves - glad to check in with you today, mate.
