The Big Match...and some other matches...
I'm up early to make a run up toward Buffalo for some wedding dress alterations today. So, I'm just getting things started here and will only be around for just the beginning of the West Yorkshire Derby. I'll be DVRing the big match - Chelsea v. Citeh, which comes up later at 12:30pm EST. So, have a good footie morning, lads, and wish me luck at David's Bridal. Cheers!

Morning, chaps. Rebecca Lowe and the boys have decamped to some Phoenix studio with the Superbowl logo all over it and some inane cheering going on in the background. Who thought that was a good idea?
The top of table clash between Brentford and Boro has started up.
Good morning, Bob. I'm watching the match from West London. Both teams are easy on the eye.
The Stupor Bowl should not mix with our footie. A horrible idea.
The Bees nearly take the lead as Dallas of Brentford has a shot cannon off the inside of the post.
Aidar Karanka, the Borough boss, is none too pl;eased about his team being dominated by the Bees as the poor assistant catches the brunt of it.
Morning, mate - how are you?
Great . How are you? Fred is joining me for the action.
YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
Sammy Byram with an opening goal for us! MOT!
Give Fred a pat for me.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
SAM BYRAM GIVES LEEDS THE LEAD. BOB WILL BE DELIGHTED.
I sure will. He got a belly rub.
That goal was just what the doc ordered.
Adam Clayton with a nasty trip and boos as he gets off with a lecture. He learned that behavior at ER.
I'm going to watch the match on BEIN. I bet this match will be more entertaining than the one from the KC
We're away at the KC Stadium. I'm sticking with that one. Hull need some points and have some of their big boys back in the fold.
Newcastle are wearing impossibly tight shirts today - how on earth is a regular fan supposed to jam into one of those?
I bet the Bees and Borough are easier on the eye than the two teams from the KC. Ironic that I would say that about two Championship teams , who are more of a passing side than either one playing at the KC.
That goal temporarily moves us up to 17th some eight points clear of Evil Millwall.
I guess he/she would have to order a quadruple extra large.
Definitely a much needed goal.
Sissokho with a storming run and shot, just wide.
Bees fans are none too pleased that Toumani Diagourga is booked for a foul on Albert Adomah when the thuggish Adam Clayton was merely lectured for a similar challenge.
I watched the Cherries defeat the ten man Hornets 2-0 yesterday evening. The Hornets were a man down all but the first thirty seconds of that match
Absolutely - if we keep up the current form, we'll be out of trouble in no time. Hopefully Cellino will bugger off for good.
Ramirez and Jelavic linking well - both sides have started well.
I agree. It seems to be like weight of your shoulders
Did you see that Bayern lost their first Bundesliga match last night? They lost 4-1 to the VWs , who have now closed the gap to eight points. Pep will not be pleased.
Absolutely - if we drop into L1 again, I won't even see the boys on BEin.
I didn't see that - Bayern should still romp it. The European league points seem fairly set - Bayern, Real, Juve. Some PPPers are collecting 12 points from those three alone.
Local fans are pleased as Patrick Bamford , on loan for local rivals Chelsea, is booked for holding back Alex Pritchard , the wee man on loan from the Spuds.
I don't see your lads being relegated. The Tangerines and Evil Wigan for sure. The last spot will probably be between the Evil Lions and Rotherham United.
BUGGER!!! THE TERRIERS TIE IT UP. SORRY MATE.
Yeah - Blackpool are already gone.
BUGGGERRRRR! Hudders equalize through Bunn.
Back down to 19th.
PENALTY FOR MIDDLESBROUGH AS BUTTON THE BEES KEEPER BRINGS DOWN PATRICK BAMFORD. A STOMEWALL PENALTY.
GOAL !!! GRANT LEADBITTER GIVES MIDDLESBROUGH THE LEAD, SENDING BUTTON THE WRONG WAY.
I'm hoping that the gap widens between the bottom three and the rest. There's a five point gap now between Rotherham who won in mid-week and Evil Millwall. Would love to see them back in L1.
Two minutes of stoppage time at Peter Griffin Park.
That'll put Boro back within a point of Bournemouth.
Oh - a mad scramble in the Newcastle box - somehow the ball stayed out of the net.
Harsh on the Bees , who have been the Bees,, who have been the better team. Their first mistake of the match as a long ball from left back, Gibson, the chairman's nephew, was misjudged and Button tripped Bamford in the box. He was booked for thyat
Halftimes and Brough are one up thanks to that penalty thanks to a misjudged innocuous long ball.
I have now switched to MSNBC after an entertaining first half at Peter Griffin PArk
The goal from the Terriers was a header from six yards out, so probably a disappointing one to concede.
David Meyler booked for a foul om Remy Cabella.
Nasty one there - could well have been red, don't you think?
I've seen them given, but I think yellow was just about the right decision.
Another rumor from Blighty is that Eddie Howe, the Cherries manager, could be the new Toon boss this summer.
Now it's Anita into the book for an early infringement.
It's sad to say that the quality of football at Peter Griffin Park has been far superior.
No doubt. It was lively early on but I think both sides are nervous now. They need the points, especially the Tigers.
A clash of heads between Jela and Janmaat. The Dutch right back got the worst of it.
I agree. One good thing is that it seems that, whichever teams get promoted from the Championship will be passing the ball around instead of lumping it. They may not bag the points, but they will be fun to watch
It's 1-1 at the half of what seems to be a typically well contested W Yorkshire Derby.
The second half is underway from Peter Griffin Park
Right on the Button as the Bees keeper was well positioned to save a free header from Vossen of a Brough corner. The Belgian headed wide from the next corner.
Jota with a long range effort straight Brough's veteran Greek Keeper. He cut in after collecting a nice, long diagonal pass.
The Toon take the lead at the KC.
Remy Cabella with the goal for the Toon.
Button fumbles out a shot from Bamford for a corner.
The corner from Ledbitter is headed out by the first defender.
Middlesbrough should have gone two up as Vossen led a break and his pass went to Adaomah , who blasted over with just Button to beat
Major drama just as I'm about to leave. El Mohamedy punches one in Maradona style. Should be banned. A yellow card isn't enough.
Halftime at the KC amidst a chorus of boos as the Toon are one up.
Half time at Hudders - still 1-1. I'm off to do the wedding alterations, mate. Cheerio!
Rather naughty as he should be walking like an Egyptian.
Cheers mate. Have a great day. I look forward to chatting with you tomorrow.
The Bees nearly tied it up as long range effort from Stuart Dallas was about six inches over. Then, Andre Gray did well to turn Chelsea loanee, Omuero , but scuffed his effort straight to the keeper.
Brentford skipper, Jonathan Douglas, is booked for a studs up challenge on Lee Tomlin.
Douglas has a shot blocked for a corner as Gray and Pritchard combined well.
Boos at Peter Griffin Park as former Bee, Adam Forshaw , is on for a Middlesbrough debut in place of Albert Adomah.
Toral on for Diagoura and Long on for top scorer, Andre Gray, who had a pretty quiet match today. It's what I like to call the double switcheroo.
Adam Reach on for the hard working Vossen as he would love to put the match out of reach.
The Toon go two up at the KC
Sammy Ameobi with the Toon goal.
The Tigers have gone over six hours without a goal as they can't even feed off a few scraps.
Sone Aluko on for Aluko as it's a wintry mix on Humberside. Probably similar in W Yorkshire.
The wintry mix now looks like purely snow.
McGregor pushes out a cross from Ayoze for a corner,.
BLOODY NORAH!!! JELA MISSES A WIDE OPEN GOAL AS TO URUGUYANS COMBINED. ABEL HERNANDEZ FOUND GASTON RAMIREZ AND HIS NICE PASS FOULD JELA , WHO HAD A WIDE OPEN GOAL FROM TWO YARDS OUT AND SHOT SIDEWAYS!
Another change for Brucey as Young Ince , son of the gaffer's buddy, is on for Abel Hernandez.
It finishes one nil to the Middlesbrough as Aidar Karanka, who was Jose's assistant at Real, showed that he learned well from Jose as his team shut up shop to hold on to their narrow lead.
The final roll of the dice from Brucey as Robbie Brady is on for Alex Robertson and it's a French swap for the Toon as Gouffran is on for Cabella , who scored his first Toon goal today
WAY HAY!!! THE WHITES TAKE A LATE LEAD IN THE W YORKSHIRE DERBY AS THE MATCH IS ABOUT TO ENTER STOPPAGE TIME.
Billy Sharp with the goal and about bloody time that he scores. What a time to score.
Sharp booked for excessive celebration.
GOAL !!!! THIS MATCH IS DONE AND DUSTED AS THE TOON GO THREE UP. GOUFFRAN WITH HIS FIRST GOAL IN 39 MATCHES.
Brucey was pissed as Fatty cheaply conceded possession with a sloppy pass in midfield as Gouffran went on a solo run and scored with a deflected effort from the D.
Cisse on for Ayoze , who has done his job.
Aluko wins a corner for the Tigers. Only their second corner.
Gaston Ramirez heads inches wide off the corner from Brady. The next corner from Brady is headed away by Colback and Fatty has an effort from just outside the box saved by Krul in a crowd of players
Bob will not be pleased that it's in the tenth minute of stoppage time at Hudders. He wants the ref to blow the final whistle.
The goal must have been scored in the second or third minute of stoppage time.
Now in the eleventh minute of stoppage time at Hudders
Jake Livermore is booked for what looked a fair tackle. That was harsh
WAY HAY !!! LEEDS WIN 1-2 AT HUDDERS . WILL BE BOB BE DANCING IN THE ICY STREETS OF FRED TOWN OR IN THE DRESS SHOP?
tWO MINUTES OF STOPPAGE TIME AT THE kc.
It's over at the KC as the Toon win 0-3 . John Carver's first win as Toon boss as his team carved out a victory at the toothless Tigers.
Next up on MSNBC as United host the last place Foxes, who thumped them 5-3 in September.Forty two year old, Mark Schawarzer, makes his debut for the Foxes as they have three former United trainees starting for them: Danny Simpson, Kevin Drinkwater and Rich De Laet
An emotional day as black arm bands are being worn to remember the victims of the Munich air disaster.
They're off from OT.

A poor corner from Vardy is easily cleared.

Derby County go two up at Evil Cardiff.
UWS will not be pleased that United blew a chance to go four up as a nice through ball found Roon . Falcao was wide open for an easy tap in , but Roon's poor pass forced him wide.
Another spell of pressure from United then a long clearance from Wes Morgan led to some Argie Bargy as there was a foot race between Argies Ulloa and Rojo. Ulloa fell down easily , looking for a penalty as Rojo held his ground. Nartin Atkinson was having none of it.

Oscar with a tame effort straight at Hart as Remy went past Kompany.

GOAL !!! WHO NEEDS COSTA AS REMY SCORES FROM CLOSE RANGE TO GIVE CHELSEA THE LEAD.
a NICE CROSSFIELD BALL FROM iVANOVIC TO hAZARD WAS VOLLEYED FIRST TIME ACross the box and dispatched first time by Remy.Poor by Clichy as he was outmuscled by willian as he passed to Ivanovic. Had Clichy made the tackle then the goal would have never been scored. It started with a break led by Remy and Hazard
GOAL !!! CAN YOU ADAM AND EVE IT? AGUERO TIES IT UP JUST AS HE DID HERE LAST SEASON.
Two minutes of stoppage time as Aguero had a shot heading wide and Silva diverted it , wrong footing Courtois.
it's 1-1 at the half of a match that can go either way. I didn't expect Citeh to tie it up minutes after Chelsea scored.
Going back to the build up on the goal, there were uncharacteristic errors by Matic and Courtois. Mattic coughed up possession in his own half . Sagna did well to put Navas through down the right. His cross was misjudged by Courtois as Milner did well to put him off.Aguero then had a shot diverted in by Silva
The second half is underway .

Silva booked for a trip from behind on Matic
courtois did well to tip over a header from Fernandinho that he headed into the ground then just under the bar as Navas got free down the right and put in a good cross.
Jose receives a ticking off from Clattenburg. He would do well to shut it and not be banished to the stands. Jose tries to get Pelligrini involved , but the Citeh boss does well not to get involved. I notice that Jose quickly shuts it when he is ignored.
Fernando booked for a foul on Hazard and that tackle really was one.
