Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Marching On Together...without the Crazy Italian!

What roller coaster ride we Leeds fans have been on this week. Just yesterday, the FA came down with one of the most absurd rulings we've ever seen from them - and that's saying something! - when they turned down Leeds boss Massimo Cellino's appeal and banned him from ownership of the club...for three months! I initially thought that this turbulence in the ownership of the club would've affected the form of the side negatively. But...football is a funny old game, isn't it. We've taken four points from the past two matches. First, we earned a very serviceable draw at the weekend against Birmingham with a come from behind effort. Then today - our first win of the calendar year against a Bournemouth side that's currently sitting on top of the Championship. We rode our luck in the waning moments after Luke Murphy's first half goal - with the Cherries hitting the post twice, Bellusci getting himself sent off and giving away a penalty and then what sounds like an epic penalty miss by their top scorer rocketing one off the bar. Phew! We are Marching on Together!

Congratulations Bob. I'm delighted for you. That was a fantastic and much needed result. It cam off the back of two decent draws against two opponents in a decent run of form themselves. That's five points in the past three matches that moves you closer to safety. Hopefully, that will kick start your season. Leeds are off for a week and a half. Is it good that they will have time to recharge and work on some things on the training ground or bad because they have momentum? Their next match is a local derby at Hudders, who are two points ahead in the table. That's a 12:30 kickoff on the 31st. Finally, that is a bizarre decision. They should either accept the appeal or turn it down and take the club away from him permanently. Your thoughts on what I wrote?

I'm all cock a hoop about it. It does seem that, despite all the nonsense from the FA, that the side is performing better now that Massimo has been banned. I agree with you - they should either ban him outright or accept his appeal. That match against Hudders should be a classic Yorkshire match-up and should be televised on BEIn.
