An Embarrassment of Riches
There's honestly so much football on this morning that we simply can't watch it all. Someone thought it was a bright idea to schedule a Cup Semi Final match between Reading and Arsenal up against one of the key matches in the title race - Chelski hosting ManYoo. I'll be skipping the early Championship match between Wolves and Ipswich in favor of extra kip, but I'll join you for the regularly scheduled fixtures building up to that quite spectacular finish. Join me for all the action here on the LOB!

Morning, chaps - I'm up and at 'em after a deliciously long sleep and looking forward to this morning's Premiership action.
Much of this morning's Premiership action has to do with the bottom half and the relegation battle, which is as tight as ever. Here's what we've got in store:
Everton v. 19th place Burnley
20th place Leicester v. Swansea.
Both matches are must wins for the bottom clubs.
The battle at the top of the Championship is equally tight. Boro stole a vital win at Carrow Road last night, which moved them back up to the top of the pops.
Wolves, who are desperate to get up into the playoff spots, are currently drawing 1-1 with Ipswich on BEin. Later, third place Watford kick off against Brum, Derby are away to Huddersfield and Brentford host Bolston. All those seem to be wins to me.
Looking at the highlights of the Wolves v. Ipswich match now. Not good enough for either side, really, especially Wolves who are now on the outside looking in, with all the other top six sides in a position to increase their lead, save Boro and the East Anglians.
The NBC Sports Network crew fresh back in New Jersey from their trip to Blighty are setting up the Everton v. Burnley match.
My Leeds boys visit Charlton after four losses on the trot, seemingly permanently stuck on 52 points.
Morning Bob
I am here.
My regular SS link didn't work today but I do have a good working after an annoying episode with pop ups
Here's the link
http://cricfree.tv/sky-sports-news-live-stream
I won't be commenting on the big match because I want a full screen of the Semi Final and the league match
News from Blighty is that ManYoo fullback Luke Shaw is now being treated by an independent psychologist in order to reclaim his confidence.
Morning, UWS - thanks for the link. Will you be around for the 10am matches?
What has happened to him
Maybe he can turn it around today
I'll be around except if I'm on a walk
I am so pissed about the scheduling of the two big matches!
The FA Cup Semi Final is a REALLY BIG game!!!
Who do you think the neutral is going to watch Reading or Man U Chelsea!
Brilliant! Great to have you on board. It is absurd what they've done with the FA Cup clash. Apart from the partisans, I can't see anyone watching Reading v. Arsenal.
I hope Bournemouth go back to the top today. They would have extended their lead from one to two points
They'd be very close
I want them to go up.
They are playing attractive and it's better than the Watfords, Boros and Sunderlands that come up and go down
Just saw the kick again of Rob Green for the Chelsea match... terrible
I'd like to see Bournemouth in the Prem but whoever goes up and coming right back down. That's just the nature of things today.
You were against Bournemouth going up a few weeks ago
Yeah - Rob Green really threw one in the net for Chelski.
Falkirk beat Hibs in the first Scottish Cup Semi 1-0
I'm going for a walk now so I can get back close to kick offs
I"ll BE BACK
Everton will be searching for that win that will make them mathematically safe and have The Chunk back in the side. Here are the teams for that match:
Everton - Timmy, Coleman, Stones, Jags, Baines, Barry, Lennon, McCarthy, Barkley, MIrallas, Kone. Subs: Joel, McGeady, The Chunk, Naismith, Besic, Garbutt, Alcaraz.
Burnley - Heaton, Trippier, Duff, Shackell, Mee, Boyd, Joes, Arfield, Barnes, INgs, Vokes. Subs - Wallace, Kightly, Taylor, Jutkiewicz, Gilks, Ward, Keane.
Enjoy your walkies, mate!
I know you're all curious, so here's the Leeds XI:
S. Taylor, Wootton, Bamba, Cooper, C. Taylor, Byram, Austin, Murphy, Mowatt, Morison, Sharp.
Teams in the tunnel now...
Good morning , Bob and Dave. I had a late lie in and worked out some technical difficulties with the telly. I saw the tale end of Mick and Terry's return to Molineaux.
They sure are. The Toffees should defeat a brave Burnley team , who are have tons of commitment , but have difficulty creating chances.
Sad to say that I expect Burnley to get relegated as they lack some quality need for the run-in.
Morning, MUR - welcome and great timing.
They're off from sunny Goodison.
Burnley about tio kick off at Goodison.
Cheers, Bob. Great to be on board. It was touch and go as I had to replace my receiver and know nothing about telly installation. After an ordeal and several phone calls to Dish, I got it done at 1230 AM.
Wishing Leeds luck at Bobby Charlton FC.
Im back
Ross Barkley goes on a solo run then leaves his shooting boots at ER , dragging an effort well wide
Morning MUR
Welcome back, UWS.
Rooting for Burnley in this one
I want the Toffees to be bummed for next week's game
The Baggies take the lead at Selhurst Park.
Rooting for Burnley in this one
I want the Toffees to be bummed for next week's game
I second that.
West Brom have taken the lead at Palace
United play there too soon
I'm with Burnley and Sean Dyche today. Manager of the season if he keeps Burnley up? I'd say so.
Jim Morrison open the doors for the Baggies with the goal on Pulis's return to Selhurst Park
Cambridge take the lead
Definitely so. Dyche has done an excellent job just to make sure they are still in the hunt.
Blackburn take the lead vs Forest
Jim Morrison went all "Break on through to the other side," eh MUR?
A win for Cambridge should seal survival as they are on top of Jayne Mansfield.
Never a pen at Goodison
I don't think it was a foul or inside the box
PENALTY TOFFEES AS MUFC ACADEMY FOULS LUFC ACADEMY IN THE BOX. DAVID JONES FOULS LENNON AS HE WAS ABOUT TO SHOOT.
Brilliant... saved!
Oh - penalty save!
WOW!!! BARKLEY HAS A PENALTY SAVED BY TOM HEATON. THEN IT'S CL;EARED FOR A CORNER A GREAT SAVE.
Why didn't Baines take it???
Is he not playing?
Bob wll be interested to know that the penalty for the former Leeds loanee was saved by a keeper from the MUFC Academy. We do train our keepers well.
Forest and Blackburn have shared some goals
COME ON YOU CHEERIES!!
He is playing.I don't get it either. Mirallis did the same thing earlier this season and was benched.
Fulham take the lead at the already relegated Tangerines.
Luis Bloody Suarez gave Barca the lead vs Valencia in the very first minute. Messi is looking to score his 400th career goal today. COR!
I am actually rooting against Pompey today
Bury are the visitors and I want them to go up
They are four points behind an automatic spot but with a game in hand. Last week, the team in front of them won with a 102 minute pen
I want them to win because their owner donated 5000 pounds to a talksport presenter for his london marathon run
Not having luck with computer today
It better sort itself out for the Semi
Luton take the lead vs Jeff's team, who are in the thick of a relegation battle. THe Mad Hatters have a slim chance of getting into the playoffs as Argyle currently occupy the last playoff spot.
The Foxes take the lead!
Tom Heaton palms away a cross then does well to push away an effort from Baines, who did NOT take the penalty
Sounds like a good reason.
COME ON BURY.
Luton two up against Hartlepool
Jeff is not a happy chappy
Derby take the lead against Hudders
Leo Ulloa, in for the injured Dave Nugent, with the goal as he feasts on some Swan meat.
Big goal at Huddersfield - it's to Derby!
Hope Lennon gets crocked today
Just a calf injury would do
OH!!! Just wide by Lennon.
I think that goal moves the Swans out of the drop zone, moving Nigel's former Tigers there in their place. Is that correct?
Jeff's tea are one place and one point above the drop zone. He will be keeping a keen eye on Northants vs Cheltenham and Trannie vs Oxford United.
Leicester are still in there
Vital goal for Leicester and Ulloa. They're finally up off the cellar of the Premiership. This could be three wins on the trot.
Goal at Stoke.... to Southampton
Jeff really not happy now - Hartlepool are two down.
you're repeating my comments!!!
Luis Bloody Suarez gave Barca a lead vs Valencia in the first minute . Leo Messi is aiming to score his 400th career goal today
Southampton have taken the lead away to Stoke - Schneiderlin with the goal.
Sotton leap over Pool... who are busy this weekend
Schneiderlin with the goal for the Saints.
Now David is repeating his own comments!!
As usual, you're just quicker off the draw, mate. I think you've bought equipment that updates more quickly so you can be Nocito Sportscenter.
Bob's doing it again
Why so grouchy about us, UWS?
i just don't think you read my comments!!
We need Wycombe to lose today for Bury's sake
Has Lukaku just been rested or is he hurt?
I'm going to just concentrate on the Everton v. Burnley match and won't post any updates from the other matches because it's irritating UWS.
Very annoying public address ding at Goodison
don't be silly BD
I do, mate - I'm just not quick enough. By the time I type my comment, you've already posted.
If Burnley win, they will be out of the bottom three
Leicester need a few more goals and no Burnley win to go out of the zone
One nil Toffees
Mirailes with the goal
GOAL! The Toffees take the lead!
Just be normal
GOAL !!! MIRALLIS GIVS THE TOFFES THE LAD AS KONE FOUND COLEMAN, WHOSE PASS WENT THROUGH THE BURNELY BACK FOUR AND WAS TUCKED AWAY BY MIRALLIS.
The SS reporter thinks that it's Bone who has scored but it's actually Kevin Mirallas at the backpost who rattles in. Not even the same race, mate!
That's hard for me, mate. When have I ever been normal?
Burnley should have tied it up there!!
WIgan take the lead against Brighton(who haven't scored in 8 hrs)
Wigan need only a win to keep their hopes alive. They haven't won at home since AUGUST!!
There is also talk that Rotherham could lose points for playing an unregistered player... still hope for not so l long ago Cup Winners
I think there is another goal but my screen froze
The Fake Dons are three up vs the Orient express. The Fake Dons are looking to cement a playoff place while the Os look to avoid relegation.
Jimmy Floyd Has's Burton Albion take the lead at Morecambe and Wise.
They are close to being promoted to the third tier for the first ever time
I knew about the inelligible player. I didn't realize it had been that long for Wigan, who will be relegated if they fail to win today
Scunny take the lead at Colchester, who are in real relegation trouble.
JFH has done a brilliant job.
They shouldn't play rugby at your home stadium... it rips it up too much
Agreed - it's that LUFC training.
Argyle are trailing in the. longest journey ion the Football League as they trail at Carlisle. Will the Mad Hatters replace them in that last playoff spot?
Got that one right Dahlgren
Does Kate know that?
Not long to go before the big day
More bad news for Sean Dyche now - Ings is down getting treatment.
Rangers being held 1-1 by Dumbarton while already promoted Hearts take the lead vs Raith.
Oh yes - she knows. Big day is in about 60 days!
Bournemouth are playing flat
WHY.... YOU COULD PLAY IN THE PREM WITH THREE WINS!!
Probably two and a draw
The countdown is on. Just about two months till the big day
Brentford score as SS is there
Great timing
Yep - wedding invitations should be going out this weekend!
Goal at Dean Court... to Wednesday on Saturday
Blackburn take the lead against my promotion pick Forest
Nice pass from Danny Ings as Ashley Barnes has a shot come off of Barry for a corner.
Ings had a chance but blocked.
There is talk of him going to Old Trafford
Hudders tie it up against the Rams
Blackburn are two up while the Cherries are not looking like a Big Club.
They were two down to Brum a few weeks ago and tied it up before half time
Ben Mee headed over from the corner as former Toffee, Barry Horne was lobbying for a goal kick. Nice to know he's so impartial
There's also talk of Ings going to Anfield and Borussia Monchengladbach! I don't think he's quite good enough to be a United player.
LEEDS take the lead at the Valley
Morison with the goal
WAY HAY ! Leeds take the lead at Jackie Charlton Not So Athletic.
Bolton tie it up at Griffin Park
Huddersfield now lead against Derby
I agree with you MUR
The Toffees break off a Burnley corner through Kone, who runs the length of the pitch, but his cross is caught by Heaton,
my link is being VERY annoying
The Speedy Terriers Ramming the opposition?
Just a draw would put Bournemouth on top
DON'T BLOW IT
Cheers, UWS. He can go Cherry Picking?
Two minutes of stoppage time.
Brentford re-take the lead!
Cambridge two up against Jane Mansfield
They needed a point to be completely safe
Aberdeen take the lead vs Dundee United. That would put them five points behind Celtic, but the Hoops will have a game in hand.
It's 1-0 in every Prem match
Cambridge fell that being on top of Jayne Mansfield is a great position.
Ashley Barnes with a second yellow... and is off in the last seconds of the half
YIKES!!! Ashley Barnes is sent off for a second yellow seconds before halftime as he fouls Coleman. Was that a little harsh?
I don't like that type of decision... he went for the ball and the ball was moved a split second before
The Toffees are one up at the half and Burnley players are furious with Mike Jones. It will be hard to see the Clarets coming back in this one.
I agree, UWS.
Bury take the lead at Fratton Park
Wycombe are not winning
Derby now 1-3 down
Hudders now lead Derby 3-1 while Desmond is deciding to have a halftime pie at Ewood Park. Forest gave come from two down to tie it up at Ewood Park
The Fake Dons are four up, steamrolling the Orient Express.
The Baggies could have been two up on Pulis's return as they were denied a stonewall penalty
If the Saints win then they will be only two points behind Citeh. CL footie at St. Mary's next season?
The Foxes are currently behind the Tigers on gd. They need three second half goals with out reply to move out of the drop zone.
Back after a phone call with future mother in law. I see that I've missed a Leeds goal from Steve Morison - a rarity, there - and Ashley Barnes getting himself sent off.
Back on at Goodison. Burnley are now bottom of the league and playing with ten men against Everton. Tough spot for Sean Dyche.
The second half is underway from Goodison Park as the Toffees are a goal up and a man up.
First goal of the season for Morison, btw - it's only April!
Welcome back, Bob. The replays showed that the re wasn't even a foul committed for the first yellow card and the second yellow was harsh. Burnley will be livid that the ref is deciding the match for them
I'm back and Stoke tie it up
Agreed, Bob. Better late than never. It is, after all, at Jackie Charlton Not So Athletic.
What position does Morison play
I reckon that the Foxes will just be happy enough to grab a 1-0 win against Swansea today if that's what happens. They've still a match in hand and this would be three wins on the trot. The miracle might still be on for them. Really bad news for Burnley, QPR and Hull.
Great double block from Heaton, , first from Kone then from Barkley. Great cross from Baines.
Unfortunately , that match is hand for the Foxes is at SB!
That Stoke goal scored by former United striker, Meme Diouf.
He's only a bloody striker!
We swapped him in January 2014 for Luciano Becchio who had only scored 20 goals at that point of the season (sigh).....
Jeff's team moves back in to the drop zone, second from bottom, behind Chetenham on gd.
Very calm by Jags there
ouch
Two Morrisons scoring in London SE today
That should have been a red Mirailes!!
He waited till April to score so he could Break on Through Till The End of Time?
WBA are two up
Scott Arfield booked for a foul on Barkley
High and wide by Kone.
Bottom of league Tranmere are behind at home against Oxford... now it two nil
That must be it - I think it's more "People are Strange."
A great return to Selhurst Park for Tony Pulis. He must be delighted after walking out in August
Nice one, Bob.
Derby get a goal back at Hudders
3-2 hosts
Come on Bournemouth!!
Big miss by McCarthy. .. hits it wide
Argyle on the longest journey in the Football League are now two down at Carlisle. A long ride back after the match
Watford take the lead and they could be top
Oh - what a miss from McCarthy! Tried to side-foot it from the pass by Lennon. Wide of the mark.
Brighton tie it up at Wigan
Jeff's team still second from bottom despite Trannie trailing because Cheltenham are drawing 0-0 at Northants.
They are top, mate. One point ahead of Boro now. Very tight up there.
Wigan will be relegated if that's a final./
all going wrong for Bournemouth
Still time
That puts the Cherries in a playoff spot.
It's a matter of time for Wigan, really. The only thing that can save Millwall is a points deduction for Rotherham, as we discussed earlier this week.
If Bournemouth lose this then are they really a Big Club?
Arsenal's line up has been announced
Arsenal: Szczesny, Debuchy, Gibbs, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Ozil, Ramsey, Alexis, Cazorla, Welbeck, Coquelin.
I can't believe that Bournemouth are losing to Not a Big Club. End of season jitters?
Bob will be all too familiar with this substitution as Lukas Jutkiwwicz is on for Sam Vokes.
Good news for Jeff
Cheltenham are now losing which puts them below Hartlepool again
John Stones tackles Jutkiewicz for a Burnley corner.
That looks to be a really defensive line-up. Are they playing for a draw?
I here that Wishire is on the bench
