A Visit to Not a Big Club
Morning, chaps! This weekend sees an epic rivalry between my beloved Leeds and Not a Very Big Club. Of course it's a police-enforced early kickoff starting at 7:30am EST, because as we all know Sheffield fans are all a bunch of hooligans. So, there's nothing else for it - we'll just have to show them how to play football this morning. Come on, you Whites - MOT!!

Well, that's just lovely. I get up at the crack of dawn only to find that BEin has decided to show some other load of nonsense rather than the Yorkshire Derby this morning. Even the usually reliable NBC Sports Network is showing Alpine Skiing right now rather than previewing the upcoming Premiership match. Grrr.
Good morning mate. They're showing the match later today. I wonder if you can watch it on streaming video
Not even a dodgy link about for the match. Grrrr.
Never mind, here is the team news out of Hillsborough:
Not a Big Club: Price, Hunt, Loovens, Sasso, Pudil, Wallance, Hutchinson, Lee, Bannan, Forestieri, Hooper.
Leeds: Silvestri, Wootton, Bellusci. Cooper, Taylor, Murphy, Bridcutt, Dallas, Cook, Carayol, Doukara.
Morning, mate - I'll give the BEin steaming video a go.
The latest: Fred says it's the Spuds vs the Black Cats from SFL on NBCSN
Yikes! You're opponents must really be a Not very Bog Club. They're BEIN replaced by an infomercial. The match is BEIN shown at 1 PM your time on tape delay.
Fred says it's a Premier League debut in the Black Cats goal for Jordan Pickford. He had an excellent match a couple miles away in the Cup last Saturday
The Saints have signed the six million dollar man AKA striker Charlie Austin. That will be a great signing if he can stay fit.
Teams in the tunnel. Fred will be bemused to see that his Black Cats are wearing all green again.
They're a minute into the match at SFL. A return to SFL for midweek hat-trick hero , Jermain Dafoe.
Fred was purring when I mentioned feasting on Spuds , but was content to have chicken pate for brekkies.
A fairly proactive start by Sunderland. The away side showing a little attacking intent early doors.
Early pressure by the Spuds. A free kick after hand ball by Danny Graham from Kieran Trippier. The free kick was headed straight to Jordan Pickford off a header by Alserweireld.
Kane tries one from distance and Pickford turns it around well.
Jordan Pickford does well to turn around a long range effort from Harry Kane.
The corner was just too high for Alderweireld andf goes out of play
Dafoe wins a corner for the Black Cats
The corner from Lens eas headed away
Danny Rose wins a corner off a tasty pass from Dembele.
Rose nearly sneaks around the back with pace and earns a corner.
The corner was headed away and a snap shot from Alli is over.
Oh - Alli should have scored when the ball came back out to him about eight yards out.
Your opponents must be a really small club to be replaced by an infomercial. It's BEIN shown at 1 PM your time.
Not a lot going on at Hillsborough. Still with nearly half an hour gone. I'd be happy with a draw today.
I'll give it a watch if we win it.
That sounds like a good plan. They're showing a tummy tuck commercial. That must turn your stomach
It does, yeah.
I finally figured out how to accept your invitations on quiz up. It said waiting for opponent when I woke up. My apologies for any problems caused. I'm still learning
The home side are on top in terms of possession and territory. But Sunderland, that one chance given up to Alli apart, have been standing firm. This match hasn’t quite sparked to life yet. Both sides will be happy enough in their own ways.
Me too - but it was fun to try it out.
I will figure it out and we challenge each other in various categories.
All I can see are the raw stats on the Guardian. If that's anything to go on, we've had more corners and shots on goal than have Not a Big Club. Come on, you Whites!
Very compact in that Sunderland box after a free kick. Nothing doing for the Spuds.
It's a tough match as Not a Biog club are in 7th, punching well above their weight.
Burnley won 1-3 at Peter Griffin Park yesterday to remain in fourth
Dafoe saw Lens put in a poor cross that was not germane to scoring
Defoe and Lens are a decent pairing up front for the Black Cats.
Lens has a poke from distance and it had Lloris scrambling for a moment.
I just SAW Lens shoot high and wide from just outside the box.
Not a fan of early morning punditry , mate?
A big shout goes up for a foul by O'Shea on Alli. Nothing doing from Mike Dean.
How do you mean, mate?
I have mentioned that I saw Lens do different things and that I a poor cross from him intended for Dafoe was not germane to scoring. Probably not my best material.
Kane has a shot blocked by Van Arnholt for a corner. The corner from Lamela is too high for everyone
Leeds have a slight edge on shots on target, but otherwise a fairly even match
A cross from Eriksen is headed out for a corner. Taken short and eventually cleared
It's 0-0 at the half from Hillsborough. Are you content with that?
Still 0-0 at Hillsborough. We're just under 50% on possession but seem to be using it better with six shots and three corners on our side. Come on, you Whites!
The Spuds break off a Black Cats corner and Lamela shoots wide with just Pickford to beat. He should have picked Kane, who was wide open on a five on two break
I'm content with that, sure.
Sorry I missed your "Germane/Jermaine" pun earlier. Boom boom!
GOAL! Sunderland take the lead with their first shot on goal!
GOAL !!! VAN ARNHOLT GIVES THE BLACK CATS THE LEAD AGAINST THE RUN OF PLAY
Great through ball from Adam Johnson who noticed Alli napping and Van Alnault took full advantage blasting home from an acute angle past Lloris.
0-1!
GOAL !!!! ERIKSEN TIES IT UP FOR THE SPUDS.
GOAL! Eriksen equalizes only seconds later. Clattermole tried to clear off the line but only managed to divert it in.
1-1!
Now it's all happening. Sunderland have a free kick right on the edge of the area after Dembele fouls Lens.
Fat Sam will not be pleased . It was some nice Spurs passing and a Great save by Pickford from Kane , but the rebound from Eriksen should have been cleared off the line by Lee Cattermole.
The goal came just 21 seconds after play resumed from the Sunderland goal
A great Balck Cats goal. A long possession and a slide rule pass from Adam Johnson that was well finished by Van Arnholt.
Two minutes of stoppage time
Jordan Pickford does well to turn around a powerful long range effort from eriksem. The corner results in another
Alderweireld volleys well wide from the corner and it's 1-1 at the half.
Off for a half-time snuggle with the missus. Back in a tick.
BUGGER! A Not Very Big Club have gone two up vs your Whites. Sorry mate
Two goals in three minutes from Gary Hopper, the former Celtic and Canaries striker.
The second half is underway with Fred hanging around.
Settling in for the second half at Shite Fart Lane.
Bugger - I go away for a half-time snuggle and that's what happens. Bugger.
Surprise Surprise as Lee Cattermole is booked for a naughty challenge on Danny Rose.
A dnaherous cross is just missed by Kane and out for a Spuds corner.
Wes Brown heads away the corner
Sorry mate. Perhaps your good luck vibes were missing. MOT! COME ON DESMOND!
The Not Big Club moves up to fifth if they win. They will move back to seventh if the Tractor Boys and Seagulls win later this morning
Fat Sam showing his intent as Jack Rodwell is warming up to add some defensive reinforcement for the Black Cats
A shove by Danny Graham on Trippier . He knew what he was doing. Not the cleverest challenge.
Oh- Defoe hits the side netting from an acute angle.
A short free kick from the training ground goes all wrong. The Black Cats break Dafoe fails to beat Lloris at the near post off a superb pass from Adam Johnson
Like for Like as Jack Rodwell is on for Lee Cattermole. That makes sense as Cattermole has been booked and the Black Cats cannot afford to risk being a man down
Adam Jonson is booked for afoul on Danny Rose and Della Alli heads wide with a free header off a great cross from Eric Dier.
Indeed - Clattermole was on line for the record of most Premiership red cards.
I'm state champ in several categories on quiz up. I'm feeling a bit proud.
Dier fouls Graham just outside the Spuds box.
I just saw the free kick from Lens cleared, but Fred did not
Lloris with some assertive goalkeeping as he rushes out to punch away a cross.
A defensive switch by Fat Sam as striker, Danny Graham , is replaced by Jan Kierkhoff , a new signing from Bayern
GOAL! Moussa Dembele scores to put Spurs in the lead!
Great save by Pickford from Rose then
GOAL !!! DEMBELE GIVES THE SPUDS THE LEAD WITH A SHOT FROM JUST OUTSIDE THE BOX.
The corner came off another save by Pickford, who has had a great Prem debut. Already half a dozen saves. He can only do so much though
Vertonghen fouls Lens
GOAL! Great dig from Eriksen from distance!
3-1!
GOAL !!! ERIKSEN WITH HIS SECOND THAT PUTS THE SPUDS 3-1 UP. IT DECEIVED PICKFORD.
It took a wicked deflection off Kierkhoff that wrong footed Pickford.
Fred and Fat Sam will not be pleased that their side have basically conceded three sloppy goals.
Hey Boys
I am around for some of the time today. I'll join when I am next to the computer... which is now for a bit
Spurs coming back from 1-0 down to go 3-1 up
I am pleased, I don't want Sunderland to survive...they're always struggling
Good morning mate. Fred will not be pleased with that remark.
Great save by Pickford from Kane as the Spuds are threatening to add to that two goal margin
Got my SS link going and some gorilla radio on my phone with the test match on
England bowled out SA for 83 this afternoon.
England need 74 to win the 3rd test to win the series
These blokes on the radio are swearing and just having a laugh
All sport covered here on LOB
Josh Onomah , from the academy , is on for Lamela.
I have been quizzing up. I'm state champ in several categories.
Sunderland should have taken that lead with that break earlier from an absolutely pathetic free kick.... Defoe made the wrong run in my book
A high boot from Lens on Danny Rose that was not seen by the former LUFC Academy player.
Well done MUR
I am too, of course, some of the categories you play one game, go to level three and then are in the top ten in state
I think the PSuds had a similar opportunity in the first half. But for Pickford it could have been a cricket score.
I just saw Whatmore come on for Lens. An attacking move as the Black Cats need goals.
done some british TV, history,
Monty Python
Monty Python Holy Grail
Are you on it Bob
Cheers thanks for for the app. I'm really enjoying it. That is true about England National Team and Leeds United. Lots of chances to move up in those categories.
He signed up last night through his google account.
Kate was giving me detailed commentary while I was preparing brekkies. She should replace Rebecca Lowe.
Penalty to the Spuds as Kierkhoff with a stupid trip on Danny Rose.
Penalty to the Spurs... Kane to take... 4-1
GOAL !!! 4-1 SPUDS AS KANE SUPERBLY PLACES THE SPOT KICK IN THE CORNER.
Love the questions on holy grail
She has huge....
knockers
Tracts of Land
Kate would do a superb job for NBC . That would be great viewing .
Danny Rose is upended and Spurs have a penalty.
Kane steps up take hammers one hard and low into the bottom left corner. My favorite place to put a pen.
A Not Very Big club have defeated Leeds 2-0 thanks to two early first half goals from Gary Hooper. really sorry mate.
Sounds like a giant female landowner, LOL! You and Bob should have a title race in that category
All over at Hillsboro... sorry mate
I'm third in the nation for England National Team and 14th in the world . I'm not even English so that's not half bad.
It's been a disaster of a debut for Kierkhoff. it was 1-1 when he came on , but three goals where he was somehow responsible, have been scored since he came on.
Morning, UWS - did you see that I finally got onto Quiz Up?
Terrible outing again for the Black (Green) Cats. Fred must be hiding in shame under the bed. They were on a hiding to nothing today. Next week is more important for them.
A standing ovation for Harry Kane as he's replaced by Number One Son, which is how the locals view Harry Kane.
That's two losses on the trot for us (sigh)....
He's asleep on the couch, which is just as well. My condolences to him and you.
That moves the Not Very Big Club up to the lofty heights of fifth place and a playoff spot.
Billy Jones has a shot deflected for a corner off a pass from Whatmore. Three minutes of stoppage time/ Corner taken short and the Spuds break
What level are you Man Utd MUR?
I did see this
We need to quiz each other
I've taken MUR on a couple of times
Are you just Bob Dahlgren?
I'm still a Beginner. I beat some woman called "Strawberry Smash" on the Leeds trivia last night.
Yeah - just Bob Dahlgren. I'll challenge you now.
It's over as the Spuds thrash the Black Cats 4-1.
What's your name, UWS?
in what?
Quiz Up, silly.
Just have to take Shad for a walk in between raindrops
Man United level 17
Basic Math level 15
England National Team level 14
Man United history level 10
Name the Flag level 7
Leeds United level 5
Strawberry smash and Dark Chocolate are bloody useless
Notice that UWS took the dog for a walk rather than challenge me? I think he's a wee bit scared.
Next up is the intriguing match-up between Citeh and Palace. Here are the teams warming up in the tunnel:
Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Otamendi, Demichelis, Kolarov, Delph, Fernando, De Bruyne, Silva, Iheanacho, Aguero. Subs: Sagna, Sterling, Caballero, Jesus Navas, Clichy, Toure, Humphreys.

And Palace get us away at the Etihad.
Palace win an early corner
Oh - Delaney had a huge chance early on - well saved by Big Joe Hart.
Hart superbly saves a header from Delaney
I am back just as Palace should have taken he lead
I saw your challenges. I'll try them at the half if that's okay.
The Cottagers take an early lead at the Terriers
Fulham take the lead at Hudders
The Tangerines take an early lead vs Scunny
Surprised that NBC are at the Eithad and not the Bridge
Brighton take the lead at Ewood
Brighton take the lead at Blackburn. Noit a Big Club move down to sixth
Cheers, mate.
USA is at the Bridge.
Cricket update
Drinks break
England 43-0(target 74)
Well - both Citeh and Palace are top half and European challengers if not title challengers.
What are they drinking?
St Mary's... goal... to Southampton with a 'stunning' free kick
Stunning that Sotton both Charlie Austin this morning for only 4 mil
The Saints the lead vs the Baggies.
Lucasade...next line?
Wasn't it six million?
Goal at SJP
Newcastle 1 West Ham 0
Plymouth take the lead against Stevenage

Plymouth pegged back sharpish
The Canaries are not out of trouble yet, but the Sunderland loss helps.
Bob will be pleased that Lennon fouled Obi Wan with a crunching challenge.
Ryan Gosling with the goal for the Cherries.
Nice one, Aaron!
Dan Gosling with the goal
BOOM BOOM!
Hull take the lead at hapless Charlton.. who fired their Belgian mid table 3rd Division manager midweek after getting walloped 5-0 at Rotherham I think
bRUCEY'S LADS TAKE THE LEAD AT cHARLTON
One of these days, Aguero will score four in one match and I'll be back in the PPP race. Vardy has clearly gone on strike since notching the record.
John Terry is playing his 600 club match today
594 for Chelsea and 6 for who?
The Tangerines go two up vs Scunny.
I think Notts Forest
Nice research
The top of the table can change THREE times this weekend
City win and will go top on GD
Leicester get a least a point will go back on top
Arsenal to go back on top on GD with a Leicester win... of course Leicester could win 8-0 at Villa Park and Arsenal would struggle to overtake them
Notts Forest take the lead vs bottom Bolton, possible opponents for Leeds in the Cup
Some interesting scenarios. Villa beat Palace for their first win since opening day
No answer to finish my quote... Lucozade....
Another goal at SJP... to the Toon... two nil
Kevin Mirallis has goal disallowed for the Toffees for offside at the Bridge,.
Sorry. I'm not familiar with that quote,
You are correct about John Terry
BTW, Forest two up against hapless Bolton
SA get a wicket... England only need 9 runs though
Forest go two up vs hapless Bolton.
Bob?
English drink commercial
Bryan Oviedo volleys just wide for the Toffees off a corner.
