Could the Impossible Dream Come True at the Theater of Dreams
So, the season started with Leicester City with a new 'uninspired choice' of a manager after firing a man that saved them from relegation having odds of 5000-1 to win the title. During the season, they have only lost to two teams(Arsenal twice and Liverpool) but everyone still was saying... Leicester can't win the league!! Well, today everyone could look like numpties. A Leicester City win at Old Trafford would make them champions for the first time in their history. I know they have other chances to win it but it could become squeaky bum time if they don't get it done right away
Even though it is against my beloved, I wouldn't mind a win for the Foxes. That would hurt United's Top Four spot but because of LVG... I don't care!
Swansea v Liverpool and Southampton v City also on the docket

Don't know why I am up so early on my last day of Spring Break... talk about a numpty!!
Teams are in the tunnel in a rainy south Wales
Klopp has made 8 changes from Thursday night's body blow of a result
England's striker Sturbridge didn't play a minute of that game but is playing with the scrubs today... is he being booted out of the door by Jurgen?
The sides
Swansea XI: Fabianski, Rangel, Amat, Williams, Taylor, Britton, Cork, Sigurdsson, Routledge, Montero, Ayes.
Liverpool XI: Ward, Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Smith, Stewart, Chirivella, Ibe, Ojo, Coutinho, Sturridge.
Ceremony for the 96.... well done Swansea
As I said, three matches are on the docket today.
Thankfully, NBC didn't show the Russian Grand Prix instead!
With the scores from yesterday Newcastle are out of the drop zone for the first time in ages.
I still think Sunderland are favorites to stay up
So, one of these guys will be Champions this time next year!!
Newcastle can get 39 points
Sunderland can get 41 points
Norwich can get 40
So... West Brom and Bournemouth are mathematically safe
A point today would make Swansea safe
Palace still with a bit of worry
We're off at the Liberty
Love to see Liverpool lose today.... don't want them to finish above United
West Ham are now above United and also host them... could they finish in top four?
Some Big Shockers in sport

The Championship could be decided for the FIFTH time on Premier League history
Only THREE of United's THIRTEEN Premier League championships have happened at Old Trafford.
They won it at home in 1999 with a come from behind 2-1 victory to Spurs, in 2008 United drew 0- 0 with Arsenal to win the league and then in 2013 a 3-0 win v Villa to become Champs
There was other title decider was in 02 when Arsenal won the league at OT with a 1-0 win
If Leicester do win the league today they will not get the trophy. They will get the trophy at home next week against Everton... if they get over the line
A chubby gray bearded King Eric is at Old Trafford today
Not watching much of the game right now.
Busy on the net.
I wil move the computer in to family room for the big one
GOAL!!
Swansea have taken a deserved lead against Liverpool's C team
LVG keeps commenting that 'you'll see me again next year"
PLEASE NO
Another set piece and it should have been two nil... headed over
Whole stadium is giving a round of applause for some reason in the 28th minute
The Swans could be four up right now
The Welsh go two up!
Nice finish... curling shot
Well deserved
Sturridge has a break but his lob over the keeper drops wide... just wide
If Leicester win the league, they will become the first team to win their first championship since Forest in 1978
They would become the 24th different team to win the English title

All Swansea and are two up
I was going through the years to see the span of years when there have been different champions in each year

A span of four years with four different champions
1990 Liverpool
1991 Arsenal

Second half underway in Wales...i'm off to the loo
Good morning, UWS - thanks for getting us going today. I decided to sleep in an extra hour or so, sacrificing the first hour of this one.
Swansea appear to be dropping deep to protect this two-goal lead, allowing Liverpool on to them. Dangerous tactic for Guidolin to employ.
GOAL! Benteke has got one back for Liverpool!
Simple goal, really. Corner into a dangerous area and Benteke beat his man to the header. Football is easy, really. I don't know why other sides can't do that more often.
Morning Bob, as soon as my computer restarts as I move it to the family room... Liverpool get a goal back
Benteke with the goal
I would have slept in as well but I woke up!!
Did you read my comments
Some interesting facts
GOAL!!
THREE ONE!!!!
GOAL! Andre Ayew responds immediately!
I did - I liked your example of the different eras of a certain span of years with different champions. It would make it seem that the Premiership is a more competitive league than it is usually given credit for. I wonder if any of the other European leagues have had a string of champions like that recently. I doubt it.
I agree with you
It was good to type in Leeds a few times!!
I looked thru the list of winners and I don't think there are any more examples. Maybe one more four timer
That did feel good to see in print. I'm not sure when we'll win the league again, though.
Not sure why people think United are going to win this
I can see Leicester slicing thru United's defense even without Vardy
Have you noticed that the American media is picking up on the Leicester story, because they're saying it's the biggest upset in sports history, based on the 5000-1 odds? I've had ordinary sports fans asking me about it.
5Live keep mispronouncing Leicester... 'as an American would say"
I have
Big article on the NY Times on Friday apparently
"Lye-Ster?"
Yeah - I saw that. Amazing stuff. The Premiership is going to be huge next season.
Do you think if they don't do it today, could it be a struggle?
Maybe Spurs will drop points at SB but maybe not!
Favorites to beat Everton... maybe not
Then to the Bridge
Liverpool are down to ten men - Brad Smith gets a second yellow for a cynical challenge.
If they do win, I t think the OT crowd will give them a huge ovation
Liverpool down by two goals and down one man
A second yellow
Wasn't that bad of a challenge
Lyestar fans last week...We're coming for you, We're coming for you, Barcelona, we're coming for you!
I wouldn't be surprised - United fans are good sports. I still remember them applauding Fatty Ronaldo off the pitch after the hat-trick he scored for Real.
It'll be interesting to see how Leicester respond to reaching the big stage next season. Will they buy like mad to be able to do squad rotation like the other big clubs? Or would that destroy the dressing room morale?
Will they lose some of their players or will they stay and play CL with Leicester
Could Leicester struggle next year
Blow up ref... go off to Old Trafford
Again, Leicester better get this done!
I wonder - because of their great advantages this season has been having to play only around 40 matches. They didn't have decent runs in either cups so it was 38 league matches and one or two others. Next season will be very different. They'll be stretched.
Apparently it's bucketing down at OT
Some predictions from the begging on the year
Ranieri is a nice guy, but he's done well to get the Leicester job. After what happened with Greece, am surprised he can walk back into PL
Harry Redknapp
Can't believe Leicester appointed Ranieri ... Great club, great fanbase but I'm afraid MK rather than Old Trafford season after next.
Didi Hamann
According to the Guardian, William Hill took 25 bets for Leicester winning the title at 5000-1, the largest stake was £20, with a pay out of £100,000 for a customer in...Manchester. Hmmmm?
This result means that Liverpool can only get to 64 points
City, in fourth, already have that many
Liverpool would need a 21 goal change to get into the CL
All over
GET OVER TO OLD TRAFFORD
A damp squib then for Klopp's Liverpool, who must pick themselves up for their EL match against Villarreal in mid-week.
Very interesting
I read that 47 people did put a bet on Leicester and 23 have already cashed out for a lesser amount
Some bloke bet 50p and after the first game cashed out and won 49p... what an idiot
A reminder that three of us, including yours truly, chose Leicester for the drop (indeed, I picked them to finish dead last!) at the beginning of the season. It's been suggested that I drop points for those who picked them for the drop, but I won't be doing that.
Ranieri has been smart... always saying 40 points
Then... try to get into Europe
Then... try to get in CL
GO FOR THE TITLE
I picked Leicester to go down too!
We both picked Claudio to get the axe first
The teams news out of OT:
Man Utd: De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Blind, Rojo, Carrick, Fellaini, Lingard, Rooney, Martial, Rashford. Subs: Depay, Mata, Romero, Ander Herrera, Schneiderlin, Darmian, Fosu-Mensah.
Leicester: Schmeichel, Simpson, Morgan, Huth, Fuchs, Mahrez, Kanté, Drinkwater, Schlupp, Okazaki, Ulloa. Subs: King, Albrighton, Amartey, Gray, Wasilewski, Chilwell, Schwarzer.
Referee: Michael Oliver.
Good morning chaps. It seems that I missed a good match when I was getting some extra kip. I'm ready for the match at OT
Already posted the line ups but without subs...so i'll give you break
Moring MUR
Welcome
I am proud to say that I did not pick the Foxes for the drop nor Claudio for the axe. I read UWS's comment about the Gunners clinching the title at OT. I think it was a midweek match in May and the Gunners won 0-1 with a header by Sylvain Wiltord. Is that correct
Thanks UWS. I'm going for the Foxes.
NBC has cameras at some place with Leicester fans... they do such a great time
5Live is interviewing a lady in a pub in Leicester that has a 2 pound bet on Leicester.. she'd win 10,00... why not just put a 20 in it !!!
Morning, MUR - welcome to the big one. I should be a fascinating encounter.
Teams in the tunnel
I agree, UWS. If I lived in Britain, I think I'd always put a £20 on my team regardless.
It's a shame that Vardy can't be playing today - he's been a huge part of the Leicester story this season.
Here they come.. shame Vardy isn't playing
Schmeichel grew up at Old Trafford but has never played here. It has been a dream of his!
What a time to play it
Back with my cuppa to a fantastic atmosphere at OT.The Foxes fans are louder than ours at OT
Apparently a chippy in Leicester is selling blue battered sausages and chips for today's match. Doesn't sound that appetizing.
Agreed. It will be sad to see Vardy not playing if they clinch the title. Kasper could emulate his dad by being a Schmeichel in goal that clinches the title at OT
They're off from OT .
COME ON YOU FOXES
AGAIN... United attacking the Stratford End in the first half
Has LVG changed that too!!!
Arlo and Lee Dixon again - they've been overworked this weekend.
All United pressure so far - The Foxes look nervy.
5 Live don't have the commentary for the match... Talksport must have it... they must be bummed
It will be good to listen to the updates though
I don't want Leicester to blow this
Of course, they could still win it with a Chelsea win tomorrow
A win at home to Everton but....
Rearguard action from Leicester - Huth blocking out a shot from Rashford.
United starting well. Why haven't they played this way all season? I guess only when they're in the mood.
United need a point to go back above West Ham
Looks like Mahrez has put on an extra coat of Brylcream for the occasion.
GOAL! Well, that wasn't in the script! Kung Fu sticks it in at the back post!
GOAL
MARTIAL WITH THE UNITED GOAL
I DIDN'T CHEER
GOAL !!! UNITED HAVE KARATE CHOPPED THEIR WAY INTO THE LEAD
Perhaps you should hope that United loses every match, UWS?
Well, United don't score many so don't worry Leicester
Me either, but this is more of what I have been expecting from United. Kante lost a rare tackle and United scored a typical Foxes goal by scoring on the counter, Lingard went on a solo run and found Valencia down the right and a collector's item as Valencia put in a superb cross. A great dummy by Rashord and side footed pass was karate chopped past Kasper.
IMe too, Bob. I'm rooting against United
Oko zaki heads just wide off a free kick
Leicester will have to fight for this one...as they should.
Maybe I should have
Do you think Chelsea will beat Spurs tomorrow?
I realize that LVG has his players up for the match by using let's postpone the party. Why can't he do this all the time and have United play this way all the time.IfLVG is this perfect manager he should be able to and we would be clicnhing the title instead of the Foxes
Rojo almost blows a chance to cross but gets it over to HB who heads it down to Lingard... great save by Schmeichel
OH!!! Off the post from Lingard off a nice pass from Valencia
Gary Linekar is in the director's box wearing his Foxes' scarf
He wasn't going to watch them at all so he didn't change their form
Maybe he'll leave at HT
United NEVER bury teams
Kate has a student who suddenly started wearing a Leicester shirt in the middle of the semester. I keep telling her that she should tell him that he's a bandwagoner.
Chelsea is perfectly capable of beating the Spuds. Whether they will is another question. I'm guessing that Hiddinck will have the players up for the match. He and Hazard publicly stated that they want the Foxes to win the title . Watch this space
GOAL
1-1!!
Morgan ties it up!!
GOAL! Wes Morgan has equalized!!!!
YES !!!! MANCHESTER BORN CAPTAIN MORGAN HEADS IN A FREE KICK
Useless defending
A dangerous free kick in and Morgan beat his man to the header. Football can be an easy game, eh?
Can you believe you and I are doing this MUR????
The Foxes have been their normal selves since United scored. Rojo fouled Mahrez. United reject, Danny Drinkwater , chipped in a superb free kick and Manchester born Captain Morgan, headed in the free kick
I would have never thought this , UWS. Will the dream come true at the Theatre of Dreams?
Kate is mocking me by singing a song to the tune of MOT about Leicester winning the title and the LOB Shield not coming to the Cottage. Shocking behavior.
5Live reporter is at a Leicester pub and the radio commentary in his ear is about 5 secs before the pictures in the pub... he had to hold in his reaction until the pub had video
SHOCKING... well done Kate
Free kick chance for United
United win a dangerous free kick on the edge of the area.
Here's something to think about, UWS. Danny Drinkwater never played a first team match for United, not even in the League Cup. Schlupp failed on trial at UNited and Danny Simpson only made eight first team appearance for United. Your thoughts?
Rooney over the free kick....
Straight into the wall.
Rooney to take...just outside the D... 99 PL goals at OT...into the wall.. USELESS
Into the wall by Roon after an illegal double karate chop in the D
It bugs me that United are attacking the SE... I KNOW LVG is behind it
Kasper was in the Citeh Academy and only made a handful of first team appearances
Another Foxes free kick taken by Drinkwater, but Hair Bear heads away this time
I think a draw would not be a blow for City
If LVG was like this ALL the time then we would be running away with the BPL. It's really frustrating.
It all depends upon their result at St. Mary's They usually have a tough time there
A draw would not help United
They would need to have City to lose later today and then to Arsenal as well
That match next Sunday will be an extremely important match
Lingard wins a United corner.
I know every team can say this but.... United lost at home with a late header to Sotton
Lost at home to Norwich
Only if
Oh dear - a short corner. UWS won't be happy.
Blind takes it short. The cross is headed away by the first man
You never know, UWS. The foxes do score their fair share of late goals.
Schlupop has a shot come off Valencia for a corner after head tennis from a throw. Great pass from Mahrez
Lingered breaks.... comes to nothing... nothing called
Was that a foul on Lingard? I don't know about that.
Nasty tackle by Roon... should be card
Lindy went down too easily, IMHO.
I don't think it was a foul against Lingard
The corner from Fuchs is headed away by Carrick. Lingard was through with just Kasper to beat , but he superbly came out to clear. United fans and players wanted their former old boy, Danny Simpson sent off for a foul. I didn't see anything wrong with that. Lingard went down looking for a fouyl
Rooney seems to be losing his head right now. Arguing with the ref.
BBC website has video of Foxes fans cheering that goal. Hope they continue
He's a thug... just like Delle Ali
Agreed. Roon needs to shut it. He's not a United type of Captain.
Fuchs picks up the first yellow - no Michael Oliver is being rather tolerant so far.
Fuchs is lectured for a foul on Lingard just like Roon was.
Lingard wins a corner off a tussle with Fuchs
United are not going sideways and backwards much today
ABOUT BLOODY TIME
A corner from, Blind is headed into the ground by Hair Bear and straight to Kasper.
Ulloa heads over from a cross from Mahrez.
Chance there for Leicester... useless defending by Valencia
Add Matty James to the list of United rejects at the KP. He might have played a match or two in the League Cup.
De Gea needs to make a save there from a cross
That could have been a pen there
Great save by Dea Gea from from former United trialist, schlupp. Did Rojofoul Mahrez in the box?
Oh - great save from Twilight!
And then Mahrez goes down in the area. Dixon thinks its a penalty. I don't. It's obstruction. Indirect free kick. But those are never ever called any more.
Leicester are getting closer. Drinkwater's shot is deflected out.
Drinkwater has a shot blocked for a corner from a pass by Mahrez. It started with a tackle by Kante on Hair Bear. Captain Morgan heads over the corner from Fuchs
More terrible defending on Morgan
Alex Greenwood: 7.50am in Costa Rica and everyone is awake in this hostel to watch Leicester win it at OT. Scenes.
How the world has changed
Valencia has a pass come off of Huth for a corner
Roon with a shot blocked then Valencia tries is only version of a cross... shut eyes, hit it low... hit the first man
Drinkwater heads away the corner from Blind
It has, indeed. And this league is going to be even more popular next year, with loads more bandwagoners jumping on board.
King Eric is a beardy.
There is King Eric... mentioned him earlier
King Eric is the stands looking like Rumpelstiltskin.
I wonder what King Eric makes of everything. I'm sure he's not short a conversation or two
I think United will fizzle out as the game goes on
They played like this at Wembley in the first half and were CRAP in the second
Pic of fans watching match in dark in Bangkok
A minute of stoppage time
One minute of added time
LOL, Bob.
This half has passed by at the Speed of light
Half time
This score is ok for Leicester but I think they'll win it
It's 1-1 at the end of a fascinating and very even first half.
I sure hope they do. It's nicely poised for them to do so
Fellaini's elbow... twice... he should be banned for three games... out of for the rest of the season... sadly available for Cup Final
I think it was a pen for Leicester
Souness agrees with me about Fellaini getting a ban
I agree with both, UWS. I think Hair Bear will be banned . Ten times worse than anything Dellla " Muhammed" Alli did. Sneaky foul by Rojo, who should have been red faced.
We're not the only UNited fans rooting for the Foxes. There is also Rory McIlroy.
Shearer thinks ban will happen too
We're off in the second half
United not attacking the SE... bloody LVG
The second half is underway from OT
Did United lose the toss.
Can Leicester do it? It should be fascinating. It's great to see United giving them a match.
Blind tackles for a Foxes corner.,
Another free header for Morgan as he heads into the ground and straight to De Gea off the corner from Fuchs.
They must have - they always play toward the Stratford End in the second half when they win the toss.
Doesn't usually matter
Respect from other teams allow teams to attack their favorite end unless weather is a factor
I think it is Bloody LVG
Another header won inside the box... United's defenders are shocking
I don't want LVG to get a lifeline and get CL but I want United to be top team!!!
A wayward karate chop that was high and wide.
They need players but who would come with no CL
United not starting like they did in the first...just like last week!
What is done in the dressing room?
If the Spuds lose tomorrow will they be in danger of fighting off Citeh and the Gunners to avoid third or fourth place?
Not sure. I think United players nmmay have run out of steam. It took evrything just to stay level with the Foxes.
There have been a lot of conspiracy theories about Chelsea wanting to beat Spurs tomorrow particularly to prevent them from being champions. But are they good enough to beat them? I don't know.
The Foxes inches away from taking the lead
Another header won inside the box!!
