Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Premiership Plus Predictions Game - Week 38 Update

The final week of the Premiership season finally came to a close with United's comprehensive 3-1 win over the Cherries in this evening's re-make at Old Trafford. United fans booed LVG off in the end, but it secured his side's Europa League 5th spot above Soton and West Ham.

That leaves us with just four items to sort out - the Europa League final on Wednesday, the FA Cup on Saturday, the Championship Playoff match and the Champions League final on the following Saturday. Swansong is the man to beat right now, four points up with an impressive 35 points, but he can't add to his total at this point. And as our current champion is only left with his pick of United to lose the FA Cup final (2 points), not enough to make up the 14 point distance between him and Swansong, I can confirm that we will have a new champion the season. Sorry, Simon, your days of eating brekkies off the Shield are over for at least a year.

There are a few PPPers who can still catch Swansong now but the most likely is Yellows, who is amazingly still in all three competitions to come, having predicted Sevilla to win the Europa, United to win the FA Cup and Real Madrid to win the Champions League. As he currently has 27, he only needs to win two out of those three to top Swansong. All three would leave him with an outstanding 48 points.

Here are the current standings:

1. Swansong - 35 points
2. Man Utd Rules - 33 pts
3. The Red Devil 1FCK - 31 pts
4. Gooner71 - 29 pts
5. Chelskilad - 25 pts
6. Yellows - 27 pts
7. The Red Dragon - 25 pts
- Someone Said - 25 pts
- United We Stand - 25 pts
10. Blue Devil - 24 pts
- What's Up Wheaton Simon - 24 pts
- West Ham Rising - 24 pts
13. The Saint - 22 pts
